+ -1 moreGlen showed up, gave a rough estimate, and said he'd like for his electrician and architect to come and take a look at the kitchen. His prompt arrival was just about all the good news. It took him forever to respond to emails/ calls. Typical excuses: sick, family, etc. Eventually he stopped responding. Decent thing would have to do, was to say that you aren't willing to do the project anymore. We even had everything picked out at the cabinet co. that he uses.
Description of Work: Gave a rough estimate of a kitchen renovation.

+ 1 moreIn all the above instances Glen was very responsive to my calls and needs. If you call him, he will respond in a very timely manner , and not only for estimates which are fair and accurate, Timelines are meet in a reasonable manner. He offers very good advise. He will not steer you wrong or leave you in the lurch. He stands behind his work which is excellent. He and his crew have a very good work ethic. You will not be disappointed. If further major or minor renovations on my home are needed I would not hesitate to call Glen. I wouldn't even get competing quotes. That is how pleased I am.
Description of Work: The 6/15/12 work Raice Contracting did was installing a sheetrock ceiling in a bedroom, painting ceiling, touch up walls and removing an old and installing a new ceiling fan/light fixture. However, this is not the first time I used Glen Oberweiler and is only a small indication of what he has done at my home. In the past I have used his services for a complete bathroom renovation, a kitchen renovation, addition of a Trex deck to backyard which involved replacing a window with a French door.and included finding and installing appropriate siding to the back of the house (the finding of which was not easy to do and I was quite pleased with the results). He has also installed bamboo fencing around my backyard. installed windows and a side door canopy.

+ 1 moreWe pre-purchased the new door. Glen and his crew arrived, protected the work area and went right to work. They opened the exterior walls, framed and installed the door and left the house secure at the end of the day. They followed with the office ceiling on day 2. Day three completed all trim work. They got in and got the job done well! The finished work on the exterior matched the existing cedar shingles. It looks like the new door was part of the original house. I originally found Glen working at a neighbor's home. He removed the top floor of a Cape and squared up the house, doubling the size. I watched this project from start to finish and knew that this was the contractor I wanted to work on my home.
Description of Work: We had a single door and window removed and added a double hinged door. A new header was added. New cedar shingles were added where required. Interior plaster walls were patched to match existing. A new sheet rock ceiling was installed in my home office. the new ceiling was spackled and polished. New door and crown moldings were installed.
