Nunez Construction and Painting

Very professional. Arrived on time; did a very good job painting the rooms as I wished. I would use them again.

The son drove me to the store to pick up more paint and they went out of their way to do that. They got the job all in one day. The cleanup was very good and they were very courteous. I had no issues with them. The scheduling was good.

Efren, the owner ,came daily and put me at ease. His crew ran into some unexpected complications when old wall paper that was covered by multiple layers of paint over the years was discovered in the hallway. The job turned out to be more complicated than expected but Nunez was very fair given the unexpected added time it took to take down all the old wallpaper and treat the walls. His men were always polite and professional and did an excellent job of cleaning up.I was very happy with the end product and our home came out beautiful. I would certainly use this company again.

They did an excellent job. I thought they were really expensive to begin with but when I saw started looking at everybody else and what they were charging, it was reasonable. Right from the start, they were very upfront. He was very cordial, professional and on time. He showed up when he was supposed to. He gave me a written. He came pretty quick. I agreed for him to do the work on a Wednesday and he came in on Saturday. They were very courteous and neat. They took their time doing the work. It really came out really nice. I would definitely recommend these guys.

The workers were very courteous. They made the utmost effort to protect furniture and space from dust and debris. Sanding is always messy but they cleaned up each evening. The work is flawless. Mr. Nunez checked the worked and had them redo some that were not up to his specifications. They did some extra work that they saw was necessary and included it in the original fee. We will definitely ask Mr. Nunez to come back for any other work that needs to be done.

Nunez showed up when he said he would. His workers were courteous and professional. They did a very nice job with the painting. I am very pleased with the work. On the communications front, I was out of the country for a little while and he was not successful connecting with my husband while I was away. It was then up to me to call him, schedule the date and follow-up to make sure we were set the day before. If you don't mind handling the communications end of things (which I don't), he's your guy. Overall, I received great value for the money and would definitely work with them again.

Contractor never responded despite emails and calls to schedule service and redeem coupon. In the end I never heard from the company.

I called Mr. Nunez and arranged an appointment. He did not show or call for the scheduled appointment. I called him to ask what had happened and if in fact was he on his way. Mr. Nunez was very apologetic and reassured me that he does not operate in such a manner, that he must have forgotten to write my appointment in his book. He did show up the next day on time and was very pleasant and professional. We reviewed and discussed all the repairs and concerns I had. He quoted me a price of $3000.00 which I thought was too high, but I will have to get more estimates to see if this amount is in the ball park. Not sure if I will use Nunez as of yet.

Mr. Nunez did excellent work, I am very happy with how the kitchen turned out. His crew was punctual, professional and ultimate craftmen. I plan to hire Mr. Nunez again and I would highly recommend his company.

Excellent experience with Mr Nunez and workers, great value to the work performed. I especially appreciated his patience and details of all his work. He and his workers renovated my apt in 1 month. Demolition was done in 2 days and the beautification started after with the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and the living room.Mr Nunez and workers were very professionals and pleasant on the job, never had problem in contact him cause he always answer my calls and returned it when I need it, plus he came out with all the proper licence to carry out this type of work since I live in a co-op apt. He definitely someone who guarantees his work and follows through. I would recommend him to any of my friends and family. I am very happy that I chose Nunez Construction INC.

After difficulty finding a contractor who would work with an extremely strict cooperative apartment board, I felt blessed to find Nunez Construction on Angie's List. I could not take advantage of one of the big deals for bathroom renovation because the deals were not available to coops. Estimates from other construction companies ran from $6,500 for labor only to a ridiculous $21,000 with, wink, wink, possible additional add-on costs. Completion estimates ranged anywhere from 4 days to 6 weeks. Needless to say that by the time I met Efren Nunez I was more than a bit skeptical, yet, from first meeting with him, I felt I could trust this gentleman to keep costs to his job estimate and timeline. He showed concern and consideration every step of the way for my likes and dislikes and my needs and preferences. From day one. the hard-working and personable Nunez crew worked to perform the labor timely, remove all debris and to clean up after themselves. Mr. Nunez gave me a completion estimate of two weeks which I secretly scoffed at given that I had learned coops do not allow work done on Saturdays. We lost two Saturdays and one day that I did not feel well. The work started on a Monday, and finished on a Thursday after two more Mondays. Three weeks by my calculation, yet when I counted the actual number of days worked, they turned out to be fourteen (14), in effect two weeks! I would recommend Nunez Construction, Inc; without hesitation and would use this construction company again in future.

Mr.Nunez and his crew arrived at the appointed time. The crew went right to work,tearing up the broken floor and then applied a new cement floor. They worked quickly and efficiently.

First of all the provider arrived 2 hours late with a lame excuse. After he took a look at the space to be renovated he said he would give me a call with an estimate. Well that did not happen. I received a text with a quote of 8500 which was double the amount I expected taking into account that I was providing all of my own materials and he also had a special on the site for a bathroom renovation for 5000.00. what a hoax. I only need labor rates and this was the quote.

Punctual, courteous and extremely helpful. You can tell that he knows his stuff. He took his time measuring each room and explaining the different options we would have to lessen the cost while giving us the most benefits. We found another contractor who offered to do the job for less which is why we went with him, but I would highly recommend him. I believe his prices are very reasonable, and was on the lower spectrum of the many contractors we had called for estimates.

Called Mr. Nunez to get an estimate for some painting, he gave me a date and time that he would come to the house to view the job. He actual came a half hour early. He returned the next day with a written contract stating exactly what steps would be performed to complete the job and the date the job would start and end. He answered all my questions to satisfaction. On the day that the work was to start the painters arrived at 8:30am They were professional, did a nice job on the foundation, gate and railing. After they finished I inspected the work and found some tiny spots that were missed on the gate, they repainted the small spots. They finished the job on time and did an excellent cleanup. Mr. Nunez is very professional and cordial. I would definitely use him again.

Mr. Nunez did an excellent job. He explained the process and answered all our questions. It was never a problem to contact him and he was very responsive. His team was punctual and completed the job in a timely and thorough manner. We are highly satisfied with our new kitchen. I would use this service again.

Areas that needed repair were two bathrooms, kitchen, and crack ceilings. They arrived on time and demolition all the areas that need repairs. They dispose all garbage and debris. Even corrected some of the men imperfections of repairs, because their motto is "perfection". Not to many contractors are passionate of their craft. But Nunez Construction, is over and beyond my expectation.

Called to see if they could do a job in the Bronx which is listed as their service area and he told me they don't do the Bronx right now? If he isn't going to service an area he should remove it as it is a waste of time to call.

Efren Nunez and his company are excellent, they worked with us to get us exactly what we wanted. i am so grateful to Angie's List, Nunez Construction is prompt, clean, courteous and reasonable. i highly recommend them.

They arrived at the appointed time, They scraped all the peeling paint off and they put three coats of paint. They swept up all the debris and did not get get paint on anything but the base of the house. They did a clean, professional job. I am very happy and I will use them again.

During our discussion I just got the feeling that he wasn't too enthusiastic about the job, telling us that if it isn't finished in a day they would have to come back again (without the special rate we had for the one day.) We then tried to arrange a day and I had my calendar ready with quite a few days in mind, but he didn't seem to want to commit to a particular day/date. He told us as he was leaving (on Friday evening) that he would call us the following week and let us know what day was good for him. The entire week that followed we never heard from him so we decided based on the vibes and service we didn't get to cancel the entire deal.

The whole job took 6 days and everything went very smoothly. I was impressed with their punctuality, efficiency, expertise and the care they took with my home. Mr. Nunez came by to check progress most days and the foreman, Eric, was there throughout the job. Whenever I had a question, Mr. Nunez would respond either via phone or in person. They put down dropcloths each day to protect my floors, including the hallways and stairs. As mentioned above, they damp mopped the work area, hallway and stairs before they left each day. The last day, they even hosed down my outside stairs. All of this care was much appreciated!

I was quite disappointed after a promising beginning where Mr. Nunez was so quick to respond to my request for an estimate on a full kitchen remodel. After our first and only meeting, I never heard from him again. He also tried to sell me a painter for $500.00 to paint my hallway which is small and I don't believe should cost anywhere near that much. All in all a poor experience.

Basically, they did a very professional job. They did it in a very reasonable amount of time. They left the site very clean. We're pretty happy with how it turned out. For what it cost, it was a regular value.
