Called them to have our septic tank pumped after noticing discharge from the vent pipe. They were willing to come the same day if I thought it was urgent. Since I did not, they did the job the next business day. There was a slight miscommunication on when to expect their arrival, not sure who's fault, but either way it was close to the expected time. They not only pumped the tank out, but continued to inspect the system and noticed the tank's discharge pipe was collapsed. They informed us that this is a fairly common problem and that they could fix it for us, but also told us how we could do it ourselves. They even provided additional details on how to fix it ourselves when we did a follow up phone call.

We had not had our septic system serviced since we moved into our home. The previous owners gave us only vague directions as to where the opening to the tank was located. We had one or two companies come to give us estimates and they told us it could be expensive to dig around and find the opening to the tank. Not wanting to pay exorbitant fees for someone to dig up my backyard, I procrastinated the service a bit. A while later, some neighbors recommended Hullar to us, so we gave them a call and they came out. The person who came took a look around, poked into the ground with a steel rod, and told me exactly where the opening would be. I dug down about a foot and found it exactly where he had indicated. The price he quoted me was also below what the other companies had quoted. In all, the total price was a little bit more than the estimate because the tank was so full that they had dig down to the other opening to empty it (again, they knew right where to dig). I wasn't there when they came, but my wife was very pleased with how friendly and helpful they were. We will definitely call Hullar the next time we need septic tank service.

We had previously used Hullar to drain the septic tanks on our property. So when we needed to have the tanks replaced, we called them. We also called a number of other companies. Of the other companies, one was also terrific -- reasonable quote and professional: Drainman in Syracuse. One of the other companies was just terrible: Dukes Plumbing -- their initial estimate was wildly high and it seemed like they were trying scare tactics. Anyway, we chose Hullar because their estimate was reasonable and because or our prior good experience with them. We were not disappointed. The folks at Hullar did an excellent job. Andy stuck to his written estimate even when it turned out that the job required more work than initially anticipated. He was always professional. They worked very hard to make sure the job got done in the time they said it would take. We had a very positive experience.
