Description of Work: Took him several visits to assess the problem,they told me they would replace the porch roof shingles as part of the repair to the pitch of the roof. Instead he did an overlay on the one side without informing about his change of plans, causing the drip edge to be uneven. In repair of flashing against the house they cut into the panel to high so the flashing is very noticeable from the street when looking at the house. |

Description of Work: They did some mold remediation and repaired some drywall from a roof leak. Brian is the best. He worked on the weekend to meet my schedule.

Description of Work: Brian came in to help with an outlet problem which he fixed in 5 minutes. Then when checking switches, several issues surfaced (not unusual in an older house). He was here (in basement and into attic) even ran a new electrical line---all told over 4 hours. Also, he did clean up everything and installed a new fixture for me. Very happy. Fast response to call--came the next morning and completed the job in timely manner and professionally. Will call on Brian on any futue issues.

Description of Work: I have hired him for general handyman work. They last completed several medium sized projects. They did a lot of plumbing work and some minor electrical work.

Description of Work: I had a gutter hanging loose off the top of my house (about 6 spikes had pulled out) and also several shutters that needed shoring up. I needed someone to come quickly, and Brian worked me in in less than 24 hours. I appreciate that he carries a u-haul carrier behind his truck loaded with extra supplies; of course he had to bring a long ladder as well. For a handyman, I can see how he must save people lots of extra costs because he is likely to already have the supplies needed. With that in mind, the cost comparison between him and 'specialized' repair folks is that much more impressive. For example, just to come out on a 'service call,' even though this job wasn't going to take more than 40 minutes (including setting up and taking down the ladder/tying it back on the truck), other places wanted a minimun of $189. I was very impressed with Brian's work (he fashioned a great solution for my shutters, in addition to fixing up the gutters beautifully) and his work ethic and common sense. I'll definitely use him again for any kind of handy work.

Description of Work: We will be re-wiring our home. Gathered several estimated. Will use Brian when the work is done. Price was very good. He understood everthing we want done and was able to change specs to meet our needs. He is very responsive, easy to work with.

Description of Work: I had called Brain to have him quote on a problem we were experiencing in our bathroom at a small camp we own. Prior to Brian's involvemnt, we had remodeled the bathroom with another company who is no longer in business and we now know why! Whenever we would step out of our shower the floor underneath seemed to sag and I was pretty sure the undelayment was saturated with water from a leak somewhere. When Brian's employees came and ripped out a small section of the flooring, it reveled rotted flooring and cross beams. Upon further exploration, the walls behind the shower were also saturated and the beginnings of a mold problem had begun. Brian and his men, ripped the entire floor out, removed the toilet and vanity, and removed all of the walls that were rotted. They replaced the rotting floor, cross beams and installed new wainscoating. The work was done efficiently and expertly. As an aside, shortly after they left we did notice some water on the floor after using the shower. I called Brian and he had his employee return the same day of my call and he fixed the problem. It was a section that was left uncaulked in error. They even painted the new wainscaoting after a few marks they produced were seen. Each time I called Brian he was quick to respond and was even quicker in sending his workers back to the house. I would definitel use Brian's firm again. They were extremely professional.

Description of Work: Called for estimate. Brian was on time, friendly, and courteous. Although he does large projects, didn't make me feel like my little projects were any less important. He also found a problem I didn't know existed. As I requested repainting and mold removal on a portion of my bathroom wall, he inquired about the exhaust fan. I accompanied him into the attic and witnessed how my existing fan was incorrectly vented. I received a emailed estimate 1-2 days later. Price seemed reasonable, so I called for appointment. Appointments are made by Brian's wife, who is very nice to talk to. . Work day came. Got call from Brian at 8am. Asked if he could start at 9am. Agreed. He was right on time. We ran through my work order: paint/mold removal bathroom wall, install and proper venting of new ceiling exhaust fan; scrape/repaint front porch outside handrail; remove/install new house mounted mailbox; replace outside flood lights. Part way though the day, we asked if we could add 2 requests: rescreen slider door and replace/rekey door knobs/dead bolts on 2 outside doors, and rekey front door. Without hesitation, Brian agreed. He took the screen door to a window/screen company,and my very old style front door lock mechanism to a locksmith. Very pleased. Brian's 2 work assistants were both friendly, skilled, and did their jobs well. Brian did some work himself, but supervised, directed,and made sure everything was done to his and my satisfaction. At the end of the day, he took me through a complete walk through to make sure I was happy with everything. Overall, very pleased with all work, especially that I could add on 2 last minute projects, and he didn't hesitate to do it. Recommend him highly.

Description of Work: Brian has done many jobs for me. Chimney work roof repair from trees falling on house re-built stairs that were insufficient put in a floor over joists identified and did mold remediation put in drywall and did finishing work installed chimney liners and fireplace inserts and stoves. He is very serious about his business, is on time and completes the job quickly. He worked well with my tenants and my customers. I would always recommend him and not hesitate to call on him again.
