Not good, very unhappy. Will not use them again.
Description of Work: Brought pool vacuum in for service several times, ok service. This last time brought in for service they told us needed a new motor and new belts. They replaced the belts last year at a cost of $100. Shouldn't need new belts again. The total cost of service was to be $400-$450. Not worth fixing as far as we were concerned. Went to go pick the broken vacuum and were charged $48.99. Ridiculous we were never told there would be a charge and no sign posted in the store and no notification on the receipt stating a charge. If we didn't pay we would need to leave the vacuum there they could use it for parts.

On 8/10/2012 at 3:57 PM Mr. [member name removed] Paid for a service of an Aquabot Turbo he brought in the day before. The total amount of the service was $86.87 and was for Drivebelts, 2 Track Gaurds and a Standard bench charge of $45.00. On 5/18/2013 at 10:22A.M. Mr. [member name removed] Paid for another service of an Aquabot Turbo he brought in on 5/15/2013. The total amount of the service was $122.70 and was for a set of New Tracks, 2 track gaurds and a standard bench charge of $45.00. Every Customer is advised of a bench charge before taking the robot in the back for diagnostics. In fact, it is written in big bold letters to the right of the parts department. Mr. [member name removed] was notified that the Drive Motor was bad and it needed routine maintenance for belt replacement after diagnostics was complete. If Mr. [member name removed] wanted a newer Robot as an upgrade the $45.00 + Tax can be applied towards a newer model in the form as a credit. Also, if Mr. [member name removed] decides that he wants the repair, then we will not charge him him the diagnostics fee and only charge him the difference to install the drive motor which is $15.00 + Tax + the motor itself. If you want to play you have to pay.

Purchase and delivery went OK. The subsequent set-up process became extremely stressful for my husband and I as they quickly forgot who the customer is. I received no response after writing a letter to the president. The level of professionalism is not commensurate with that of a luxury-item retailer. We have a 5-year parts/labor warranty with Pool Tech, not the manufacturer, therefore, unless we want to pay a different company for servicing, we will have to use them. However, after not being treated like a valuable customer, it would be hard to recommend them.
Description of Work: Purchase and installation of six-seat spa tub.

Everything went smoothly until the day we delivered the spa. It was 105 degrees out that afternoon with no shade in the yard. Non of our men were offered any water! We had brought two gallons with us and went through it within the 1st hour. It is very hard to be tactful when we are treated like animals. It was a shame that Angelo the husband wasn't there because he would of never let that happen. At the end of the delivery before we got back into the truck Member said, " Your guy Vinny looks like he is strarving (too skinny)". I never expect a tip but after that snobby comment I thought for sure Vinny would have gotten one. The entire delivery went OK until that last remark. I had one of the service tech's go back the next day to do a personal start up for the brand new spa. Usually the customer is right except in this case she was wrong. We will be happy to service the spa regardless. I didn't find it necessary to respond to the letter written by Member because I had a long talk with Angelo the following day. Apology accepted.

Pool cover was not cleaned or folded. Water discharge hose was not wound. Shed door was left open. Technician arrived without spa blower as had been ordered and promised on the date of service. Technician ignored request to check pool light. As of this writing, about two weeks later, no one from the company has contacted me regarding installation of spa blower, request that they return to properly clean and fold pool cover and original request that they get my pool light working.
Description of Work: Spring pool opening.

We do not Clean Covers on Swimming pool openings only on Pool Closings because of the fact that the debris is Dry and easier to clean off of cover. Pooltech always folds the cover and puts back in the bag that is supplied or away in the Shed. Backwash hoses are made to UNWIND for the Season so backwashing or waste of water is allowable! Leaving the Shed door open is an honest mistake. Pool light service is offered by our master technicians because of the difficulty level. Also 90% of the time when a light fixture is changed it collects moisture again and the bulb fails. Kathy our service manager makes this clear when any issues of lights arise. Penny foolish a dollar short. Most people do not want to believe buying a new $300.00 light is necessary. As for having an air blower for the hot tub, I don't know what this has to do with an opening. We had you scheduled on a separate date as this crew has hot tub service expertise and is trained in that specific area. Sorry you were un-happy with our service and would like to get another chance. We are guilty for not getting right back to you because when you have service requested for memorial day weekend it is very difficult to make everyone happy. We are truly working hard on that issue and are aware of it. Thanks

I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE PROVIDED BY THIS COMPANY. THEY WERE ABLE TO CLEAN MY POOL IN A TIMELY MANNER. THE POOL TECH WAS PROFESSIONAL, NICE AND EFFICIENT.
