Jeff installed a beautiful fireplace in my home in the summer of 2017. Although he did a great job with the installation, and I'm very happy with my fireplace, I would not recommend using him. He canceled several appointments and refused to work while the other workers were here (plumber to install gas line and electrician to install outlet). His unwillingness to work while they were here almost jeopardized the project because they needed to hear from him directly exactly where the gas line and outlet should go. In addition, I found Jeff difficult to interact with--I'll just leave it at that. Ditto for the secretary/receptionist. I want to emphasize I'm not faulting the work in any way. If you can overlook the "people issues" I've noted above, then you'll be happy with the final product. But I wouldn't go through it again.

This was the original install of the first gas fireplace that we had because we couldn’t keep that one; because that fireplace vented up through the chimney. A gas insert vents out, so that is why we couldn’t have a gas insert anymore. If we wanted to rebuild the chimney we had to get a permit from the town. They are very high quality, I can’t complain about them, nothing.
Description of Work: They installed the first gas insert. That how to be taken out and another one put in.

It used to be a wood burning fireplace and over the years there was a problem with the chimney. Water was getting in, there was a musty smell in the living room and the chimney was actually coming away from the house. We had them come out and we got different things that could be done. They took that fireplace out. This was a gas insert that was in there. There were two different ones. They gave us a credit for the fireplace that they took out towards the work that they did. They took the chimney down to the required level for the gas insert and they installed that. It was a lot of work. It was a long time getting it done. We had to have pieces of the siding and the roof replaced. It took a couple of weeks. We had to wait for the insert to come in. They took the other one out and we had to close off the opening so our cats wouldn?t get in there. We had to wait for the insert to come in. They took the chimney down and they closed off the top part of the chimney. They drilled a hole for the thing to vent out because that vent is different from the gas. I was glad it was over. I like Embers, both times that they were in my house. They are really good. They were neat and clean. That was a really messy job. It was more than I wanted to spend. They gave us a contract, itemized everything. It went over everything, everything they did, if there was a change in price it was written down. It was very professional with everything. Even if we changed our minds on something and wanted something different. If it was more money or if it was less money, they would cross it off and give us the credit. We have a copy of that contract, they have a copy of that contract. I watch People?s Court, so I know to get it in writing. They did it without us even asking.
Description of Work: We had a gas fireplace installed. They had to take it out, they had to make the opening bigger. They had to take down the chimney, they removed all the bricks. The insertion of the gas fireplace, the hookups.

Jeff was punctual, and did a great job. He took great care to clean and explain what he was doing.
Description of Work: I needed my chimney cleaned and since embers installed the fireplace I thought it best to use them. They did such a great job installing it.

Fireplace has service issues and company has refused to honor the warranty. We had to go elsewhere.
Description of Work: Spent three hours explaining the installation, taking phone calls in between, and giving a hand written quote. Way too long.

I am searching for your customer information and I am unable to locate it. Please let us know if there is another name you ordered under. I am sorry if you felt the explanation of your project was too long. My tech is very thorough as there is a lot of information when adding a fireplace to a home. Concerning the tech using the phone during a visit to your home: I am certain it was not a personal matter, it is a business phone. The tech that does site checks is in charge of service and installation and at times can have issues he must deal with in a timely manner. I do not have any manufacturer's contacting me about dissatisfied customers so please let me know what manufacturer you have in your home. All manufacturer's require us to service the products we provide. The complaint is a little vague and difficult to respond to.

We went into the store for one particular pellet stove and saw many negative reviews. The sales person (without knowing we read bad reviews) pointed to the Harman pellet stove (XXV). We wanted the stove delivered and installed within ten days. Everything was accomplished as stated and we are very happy with the results. They also were able to paint the stove providing us with a two tone color which matches our living room. The stove has performed very well obver the past week considering we have had record low temperatures. I've turn off my oil heat completely. I estimate it will take two winters to pay for my investiment.

Overall great saleman...enough said
Description of Work: When we ordered this fireplace we were told it would going in before Christmas. We called Embers a few weeks before Christmas and were told that the fireplace would go in on January 7. On January at 5 (weekend) at 6 PM there was a message left on our machine telling us that they just couldn't put the fireplace in on the seventh but were giving us plenty of time to make arrangements. They would be able to install by the next week....I left an angry message and told them to be here on the 8th. On the 8th. a sub contractor came to install the fireplace. They were supposed to come at 9am. and finally arrived about noon. They left a 4:30 so we knew there was no way that fireplace was going in that day They left all the garbage and told me they dont take garbage away. They came back on Jan 8th...and as of today no one from embers has check the work nor intall the handles that are still not intalled. No phone calls are ever returned.

They did an excellent job. They were a little slow about getting here, but when they did arrive there were no problems and the work was done very well. I was impressed with how professional and neat the workers were. I would recommend them to other people anytime.
Description of Work: They installed a new chimney pipe from the stove to the wall for me.
