I purchased a safe to secure some guns and I received a call from the shipping company that they were ready to deliver, curbside. I called the company from whom I purchased the safe and got the dimensions and the weight of the safe, which was nearly 1,000 lbs. I didn't want to take a chance on a Do-It-Yourself with something this heavy. One mistake and someone could get killed as it had to go down a flight of stairs. I called the safe company back and asked if they could help me. They made some phone calls and recommended Victor at Abetta Safe and Lock, saying he had good references and had been in the business 30 years. I called Victor on his cell and he said he would be there the next morning to estimate the job. He got hung up the next day and asked if he could stop by in the late afternoon, which didn't work for me. But we agreed that he would come by the first thing next morning. He gave me an estimate and I had a time window that was important to make. This was on a Friday and I needed it installed by the following Tuesday. The issue was that the safe was in the possession of the shipping company. Victor agreed to pick the safe up from the shipping company's loading dock, at no additional cost and he said he would be out to install it Monday afternoon. He called me about an hour ahead of time to confirm and he arrived on time, got right to work and had the safe installed within about an hour, give or take. He stayed to make sure the combination worked properly, he helped put the handles on the door and when I was satisfied, he wrote up the bill which was for exactly what he quoted, plus tax. He did a very good job, safely, and efficiently. I would recommend him to others.
