Went in for an estimate on kitchen cabinets. I was talked down to from the start. Without even looking at plans I was quoted pricing from 40k-70k for a total install. I was pressured to buy/pickout backsplash materials and flooring even though i indicated multiple times that I was nit interested in buying those from them.I just inquired about cabinets and counters. After finally getting our saleswoman to agree to quote we left. Have not heard from them in over 2 weeks. Save yourself the time a skip this place. They really provide the worst customer service.

Beautifully. Jim came out as scheduled and found that the leaking toilet was cracked. Since it is in the only bathroom on the 2nd floor, we needed a replacement pronto. Kim in the showroom helped us find a suitable replacement in stock, and this was installed the next day. Less than 24 hours from start to finish. Jim did a first-rate installation working around an uneven tile floor.

They created a beautiful kitchen- removing the wall between an old dining room and kitchen. Design: We had 3 rounds of designs before finalizing. I wanted to maintain the old traffic flow, view into the backyard when seated, and incorporate storage for china and wine. I also wanted the rangehood vented outside, a farmhouse sink and a dishwasher. They created a modern, open space with ample storage in a relatively small space (12X12). We would have never thought of such a design going it DIY. Products: We went with the quartz cambria countertop and recommended faucett - both very high quality products - much better (but more expensive than DIY stores carry) The cabinets were medium quality cabinets. The wrong drawer came and was installed. They came back to replace it with the correct drawer design. The farmhouse sink is awesome and was worth the price. Installation: We had planned on DIY installation, however, and they were happy to provide all the materials and design for us. But the installation price was really reasonable and would be complete much faster than doing it ourselves on a part-time basis. Therefore, we had them do the entire job. They showed up when they said they would show up. They moved plumbing, added venting , electrical, and lighting. They were friendly and courteous and professional. They made sure we were happy. The only (nit picky) con I would say is that sometimes they did not clean as well as I would have liked before the weekend. They did a sweep, but I would have preferred them vacuum since I was going to be walking through the space on the weekend (to use basement, etc). Unforeseen Problems: They were flexible and solution-oriented when they encountered unforeseen problems (as typical with old houses). The design called for some very complicated angles - especially with opening the cupboards by the microwave. The microwave had to be set in more than usual so as not to prevent the upper cupboards from opening. And the wall by the refrigerator door had to be modified to allow the door to open wide (because I did not order a refrigerator with a zero-clearance door). Also, we discovered the walls were not insulated and the garage door header was non-existent. So we ended up having them replace the door to the garage and add insulation to the walls "while they were at it" at very reasonable price. Overall: They transformed the space and we definitely would not have had such a beautiful kitchen without their design and products.

The time estimate to complete was on target which was important because it was being done between Thanksgiving and Christmas. A complete demolition of a 1930s bathroom was completed which was labor intensive and very dirty. But the house was. left clean nightly. The contractor completing the job took pride in what he was doing and worked as if he was completing his next "masterpiece." When my vanity came in and was oversized for the space, a correction was made without question (or cost).

I stopped in to get some information regarding a kitchen sink and also start the kitchen remodeling quote process. I already have 2 other quotes and wanted to get a 3rd quote from McKenna's. The first person I approached to get some help seemed COMPLETELY uninterested. I told her what type of sink I was looking for and she pointed me to a totally different kind of material sink. I said to her that this is not what I'm asking about and showed her a picture of it on my phone. She said she'd never seen anything like that before (it's a granite farm kitchen sink) and then told me to look up the manufacturers who sell it and she'd see what she can do! Are you kidding me?!? I decided to leave the store but before I left I asked to speak to the owner. He didn't speak to me either. I guess McKenna's judges people on what they stand to sell or profit from people who come in seeking consulting or their professional help. Needless to say I would never use them for this kind of a project!

I don't think this could have gone much worse than it did. Thank goodness they are close by and my four trips over there were relatively short. I decided that this floor model kitchen sink was a good deal and made the purchase. The sales person noted they would call me when the sink was separated from the countertop. Never called. So I went over there a week later and, not surprisingly, the sink was still on display. I was roundly criticized for not letting them know when I needed it (didn't realize I needed to do that). So then I called Monday to let them know I'd pick it up Saturday. Picked it up Saturday from a super nice sales person, but alas, no one bothered to wrap up the strainer and drain pieces and keep it with the sink. So, I had to make a fourth trip over there to get the pieces (thankfully from the nice guy). Four trips for a sink. I can't imagine what kind of effort on my part it would take to get an entire kitchen remodeled. The in-store customer service is lacking.

So sorry for your experience. I do apologize for the 4th trip but the 1st two trips were deciding if you wanted the sink and the third was to pick it up. The 4th trip was completely my fault for removing the baskets to set it flush on the bench and clean the silicon off. It is a great sink and it was a great deal. I wish you would have been happier. The 4th trip was completely uncalled for and I am sorry.

Two bathroom installers, Shaun and Brian, worked fast. Ripped out the entire bathroom and walls and rebuild in 6 days. Both bathrooms done in about 2 1/2 weeks. Only one guy working on the kitchen cabinets so that went slower, 4 weeks, but Larry fit things together well and he even fabricated a custom piece of moulding when I didn't like what came from the cabinet maker. The kitchen project manager, Pete, handled things quickly when we changed our minds about what type of wood floor to use (800 sq ft) the day before it was to be shipped. The only complaint is McKenna's doesn't do painting so it's a bit of a hassle to search for a painter that can come in to finish it. Inde remodeling included painting in their quote. Very expensive, but we wanted good cherry cabinets with quartz counter tops in all rooms. I bought the lights myself because what they had in the store was too expensive. About half the cost was labor.
Description of Work: A big job, tear out a kitchen, family room, and two bathrooms down to studs and rebuild. I got the same price quote from Inde remodeling but McKennas kitchen design by Joe in the Winton plaza store was better.

The measuring went fine and as expected. However, we never received the overall estimate. There were two major issues with their service: 1) They could not provide consistent lead times for their installation. The sales person and the installer/measurer/estimator had two different understandings of their schedule. This is understandable as schedules change constantly. However, I was seeking ballparks and each provided completely different ballparks varying by six weeks. 2) They were unreliable and unresponsive. I was told I would have an estimate within a week of the measure. When the estimate was not received within that time period, I called our salesperson three times over a five day period. All three calls went unreturned. After I escalated to another salesperson, I received a return call from our salesperson who gave me the usual excuse - "we're so busy that we cannot complete our work within the time we promise and I cannot return calls to tell you that because..." I requested and received a refund of the measuring fee. In short, I do not recommend McKennas. My experience could have been a result of my salesperson's lack of performance. However, i could not commit to a major job with this firm given they were unreliable and unresponsive during the selling process.
Description of Work: We were going to use McKenna to remodel our master bath. We consulted with them on fixtures and had them do a "measure" of our bathroom to provide a rough estimate. I also mentioned to them that it was important to us to have the work done quickly - subject to their availability.

I began my search by going to 3 local kitchen and bath companies as well as a big box store. I wanted to get a feel of the place, to see how they treated someone who just walked in off the street with no appointment. A designer at McKenna's Kitchen and Bath was the only one that spent a full hour with me answering all my questions. Very helpful, and I learned a lot about the whole process. The work began March 11, 2014. The carpenter assigned to our job was very professional and punctual. He would always call before arriving letting me know he would be there in 20 minutes. He was also pleasant and cordial. The same goes for the electrician and plumber. The work involved was new cabinets, with removal of soffits, quartz counters, tile backsplash, new lighting, adding outlets and reconfiguring placement of the refrigerator, a counter and desk. The designer that helped us choose the counters, sink, fixtures and cabinets was very knowledgeable of their products. There was a job foreman that oversaw the whole project who would come over often to check how things were going. He was only a phone call away. If I had and concern or question he would be over within 24 hours. He even came over once on a Saturday afternoon. Overall, we were very pleased with McKenna's . It's not pleasant having your kitchen torn up for weeks, but it was made so much more tolerable having a company that is so easy to work with. We get many compliments on our new kitchen.

McKenna Kitchen and Bath gave us a good price for a Toto toilet and quoted a price of $235 for installation, more than the cost of standard installation, because it was a skirted toilet. Installation was delayed as we waited for the soft close seat to arrive, although it still had not come in when the toilet was installed. The first plumber was unable to install this toilet, as the water source needed to be changed, so a second person had to come out the following day. Both men were skilled and pleasant. However, the final cost of $44.50 for a service call, $25 for materials, and $350 for labor, for a total of $419.50 was $184.50 more than the quoted cost. In addition, we were charged sales tax, although it was a capital improvement. When I went to McKenna's to resolve these issues, the owner who had quoted the prices would not come out to speak to me. However, our toilet seat had come in and no one had called us. Subsequently, I had to submit an application for the refund of the sales tax, and was issued a refund check from the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. Since I ordered this Toto toilet from an owner of the company, I assumed that the quoted price for installation was correct for this Toto toilet. Otherwise, we would not have chosen this skirted toilet, or would not have hired McKenna's to install it.

It went very well. We've got a new kitchen and we're very happy with it. The house is quite old and we needed more outlets so they advised us that we upgrade the electrical which they took care of. We like the people that came to the house to work. There were probably 3 or 4 different ones and they were all very pleasant. They were neat and clean and tidied up after themselves. We were just happy with their whole performance. We were happy with going in and talking to the manager who put it all together for us and helped us pick out some of the things that we needed. We did some research before we went with them so we felt we got a fair deal. We were very satisfied.
Description of Work: McKenna's Kitchen & Baths removed all of the old cabinetry and put in new cabinetry and they put sinks. We purchased new appliances. They did the tiling of the wall and the lighting. They put in new electrical. We also had some plumbing that they took care of which was connecting the garbage disposal and the kitchen sink. We had a leak upstairs so we had a new plumbing put in.
