I started service with them 5 years ago. I was very happy with them up until 2017. I had a yearly contract, but they must have changed their service this year. There’s no one answering the phones. No one returns your calls. They are supposed to come every 3 months and they just stopped coming. I prepay, and I tried to cancel. I continually called my credit card company, disputed the charge, because they didn’t show up for 6 months. Then they sent a rep to my house – a tech – after I canceled the service and disputed the charge. We saw him in the driveway. He said that he rang the bell, when we were both home, and nobody rang the bell. I wrote back to them and told them I was going to call the local news, because I didn’t want their service, and they were harassing me because they kept sending me bills. They finally canceled the service. I wouldn’t recommend them and they get all F’s. Up until this year that were great, but then something changed. If you look on their Facebook page, everybody is saying the same thing this year. They must have changed the service or the manager or something.

We have been customers since 2006. Until the last year, they have been very good. We requested service be performed on Saturday mornings and they complied with that. The technician had been knowledgable but we noticed the service was becoming less thorough. Then, we started to get notification that service would be performed on a weekday sometime in the afternoon. We had to call and reschedule every time and we were assured a note had been written so that it wouldn't happen again. The scheduling problem persisted. Finally, and I do mean finally, we received an automated call announcing the service date -- during the week at 3 pm. I called and got an answering service. I expected a call back as the company had been fairly prompt with its customer service. There was no call back. I called again and I was irritated. I was told by the operator that I didn't have to yell -- I wasn't yelling. No call back. The third call was to inform them that if no one called back I was cancelling my service with them altogether. No call back. This morning we received another automated call with a new service time of 11 am also on the same day as before. I called again and told the operator that I was caceling our service entirely and that if a technician arrives, he will not be permitted to work and if we are billed we would not pay it. I also told the operator that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau regarding their practices. I also wrote them an email via their website twice, with the second email canceling all service. No response. I am extremely disappointed with Envirotech as they used to be very good. Oh yes, and they tried to get us to pay up front. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I cannot warn you enough to stay away from this cash grab scam. I own several apartment buildings and signed a year long contract with Envirotech to handle our pest control. According to our contract, Envirotech is to perform quarterly treatments (one person spraying the foundation of our buildings - maybe 15 minutes 4 times a year), and 24 hour response emergency services call (that includes a service charge). Although I paid in full at the beginning of the contract, (which Envirotech botched by cashing my check for half the amount the check was written for - I don't even know how that can happen) every quarterly service includes a call from the service technician telling me I owe several hundred dollars for the quarterly service, even though I paid up front for the year. I also randomly received several automated calls throughout the year threatening to terminate my contract unless I pay for the past-due quarterly service (again, I paid for the year - see above). This brings me to my breaking point, which prompted me to take the time to write this review. On Saturday (8/13/2016), a tenant contacted me about a number of wasps in her apartment and a potential hive in her wall. I called Envirotech immediately and left a message with their answering service. Side note - all calls to Envirotech are routed through a third party answering service, so I haven't actually spoken to an Envirotech employee during this saga. Although Envirotech plays up their 24-hour emergency service, I did not receive a call regarding this problem of the weekend. I understand everyone needs a break and chalked this lack of response up to the weekend timing. I still did not receive a call by Monday (8/15/16), so I contacted them again around 10 am with my "emergency." I drove from Washington DC to Rochester NY and still did not receive a return call. The nice people at the answering service told me they could "re-forward my request" every 15 minutes so I called back every 15 minutes for several hours (a total of 19 calls throughout the day). The answering service told me my calls were forwarded but no response was received. So here I am, 62 hours into this ordeal (Tuesday morning on 8/16/16) and I still haven't heard from Envirotech. I'm left with paying a new company to deal with the wasp problem and more questions than answers regarding what I actually paid Envirotech to do. In summary, I don't have any experience dealing with bees, wasps, or hornets so I chose to contract Envirotech (and paid them several thousand dollars) to deal with pest control for my rental properties. For the amount of money I paid, I was assured that Envirotech would handle my pest control issues in a timely and professional manner. This has not happened and I warn you to stay away from this company. I hope this review can save you some of the time, hassle, and money I've lost.

I had a very bad experience with them. They sent a big guy and in order to get up under the crawlspace you have to go through the running closet and go through a hole and he wouldn't go up. He stayed at my house the whole day and said he was claustrophobic and that he wasn't going to do it. So he wasted a whole day.

The work in the attic was poorly done. This resulted in mold forming on the area of the rafters and roof sheathing. They redirected a bathroom vent from the soffits to a new roof vent, but attached the flexible tubing for the roof vent with just duct tape. This did not hold, and two years later, during a routine inspection, I discovered that the flexible tubing had come unattached and was redirecting warm, moist air to the rafter and sheathing. This caused some mold to form in the area that the tubing was pointed after coming unattached from the roof vent. This company refuses to accept responsibility for this and expects me to pay them to remediate the mold that their shoddy work caused. The President of Operations, Mr. Nardozzi tried to tell me that the mold was present prior to their work being done, even though their contract clearly states that they will treat pre-existing conditions found during their inspection. Don't you hate it when contractors try to lie to you? He tried to prove his point with photos taken during the attic work, and points to the area he claims had mold. The only problem is that there is no mold there today (far as I know, mold doesn't clear up on its own), and the area of concern is actually three rafter bays (about 4.5 ft.) to the left of the area he is referring to. In addition, he did not even come on site to verify this - he tried to tell me this over the phone! I have never before dealt with a company that simply refused to make right what they had poorly or improperly done. Maybe I've just been lucky. Stay away from this company. I will never have anything to do with them again.
Description of Work: This company did some mold remediation and encapsulation in my basement (more preventative, as they did not find much), and did work in my attic to increase ventilation efficiency.

After 2 years of treatment the problem persisted. I tried to terminate contract only to find that terms were onerous. At this point I checked BABE rating, to find the rating UNACCEPTABLE. Company schedules appointments by sending a post card. We had problems getting these rescheduled. Company sent bill after being told not to come for an appointment that was not acceptable to us. Finally paid off, ($125) to get rid of them. Attempts to contact the owner (Bob Allem) during this period were unsuccessful. We hired another pest control firm who, after 2 treatments, eliminated problem entirely!
Description of Work: Had carpenter ants in structure of the house. Infestation was near heating duct with sawdust and insect particles were coming out of duct.

The guy from Enviro Tech deserves A+++. He knows his job very well. He is nice, knowledgeable, hard working and thorough. They sprayed for every single bug. He was very good with dealing with specific problems.
