Pick-up date was spot on. We were amazed at how quickly everything was loaded. The delivery date was somewhat fluid. Because we were a smaller move, piggybacking on a larger move that was on the same truck, a delivery window had to be created. We found that this was a common practice unless you wanted to pay much more for a "container" move. In that case, one company loads your furniture into a large container and another one unloads it at the other end. Then you are dealing with two companies and it costs more. In the end, our delivery date only varied by one day and we saved about $800 over the container move option. The movers put everything where we wanted it and assembled the bed and the dining room table. Once again, there were quick and polite. We already recommended them to friend, who used them and were also satisfied.

These guys really know what they're doing. It went extremely well!

They were very professional and moved all of our things in one day. They came when they said they would and delivered to the new address as promised. No damage to our things and the interior of the places we moved from/to. I highly recommend E-Z Movers and would definitely use them again with any move we make in the future.

The movers were nice non-stop hard working guys. The team leader and his young apprentice were more careful and methodical. The older mover, hard-working, also very nice, wanted to move things on his own, thus not so careful. Some furniture got scratched, chipped and dinged. Sad when you look at pieces you've owned for 25 years that looked as new as the day you purchased them only to have scratches or gouges out of them. Walls had to be re-painted, a banister had to be moved and re-attached since it was pulled from the wall, furniture had to be touched up with paint since the suggested furniture marker wouldn't cover and the dime size gouge out of a beautiful like new hutch is now just a sad story. On the other hand, extremely heavy items had to be moved. A treadmill, large dressers and an old TV to mention a few. I think what bothers us most is I called the company, talked to the owner specifically asked for wrapping for our furniture other than moving blankets as a previous mover had used. The previous company, 23 years ago was beyond perfect. Wrapped furniture, took their time and were so careful. This owner said wrapping would be on the truck that it was up to the leader to make that decision to use it or not. There were no wrappings on the truck other than moving blankets. Would I hire them again? Honest answer, I don't know but most likely not. Why I would - The guys were punctual and hard working. They were pretty much non-stop other than to have a quick snack I made. Why I would not - The owner telling me wrapping would be on the truck and it wasn't. Also when I called after the move to report some missing shelves. It was a blown off answer - "they are someplace in your house look around". Never offering for me to call back or talk about the extra coverage we paid as an insurance. Fortunately we did find the shelves in the back of the nightstands which was good because we sold them later!

Jim Helms and his team were excellent. They were able to accomplish more than I ever expected, and arranged for extra time to finish the job in the most professional way. I can't imagine a better moving firm!

Well, I hesitated to write this review, as my mother always told me, if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. Here I am all these months later, however, and I'm still a little disturbed. They didn't break anything, so that is one good thing. I had budgeted about $800 for this (they're paid by the hour, and there was a discount for paying cash), and actually expected it to come in less as they were only moving the furniture and fridge from (and to) an 1100 square foot house.They spent almost the whole first hour planning how to load the truck, which, yes, I understand that this needs to be planned. However, when (finally) packed, the truck was only half full, and we were only travelling a mile from there on side streets, so why all the fuss, I don't know. The guy taking the doors off the fridge took over an hour to do so. I thought that was rather excessive. The three guys just kept joking and joking the whole time they were there, and although I like a happy crew as much as the next person, it felt forced, and almost passive agressive at times. By the time they were done packing up, they had just about used up my $800 budgeted. We got to the new house, and I gave my husband the $800 cash and a $300 reserve to pay them with when they were done, as I had to leave. I was going to have them move the fridge in the new house back to the old, but at that point it was taking so long I said screw it and told them to just move it to the garage. When I returned, my husband told me that he gave them the entire $1100, plus he put another couple hundred on a credit card. It seems the issue was once again moving the refrigerator. Okay, done, right? Well, next thing you know, my husband's account was empty - they actually had charged the entire amount to his account, and hadn't taken the cash we gave them into account! That was straightened out with a phone call, but it was pretty much the frosting on the cake for what was a pretty stressful experience.

E-Z Movers had an opening the day after we called. They were able to move nearly the entire contents of the apartment to the house in a few hours. Furthermore, the move cost quite a bit less than we had planned. The crew was very professional, pleasant and helpful.

My choice of using E-Z Movers was entirely based up on prior Angie’s list feedback from their previous customers. What other reviewers had written about E-Z Movers is true. What a great service. This company is terrific. Mr. James Helms, the CEO of E-Z Movers, fit me into his crowded schedule during the Holidays. He was pleasant, courteous, reliable, and was extremely generous with his advice. I would wholeheartedly recommend and already have recommended E-Z Movers to others as a moving company. I will only use E-Z Movers should I ever need to relocate again. You won’t be disappointed.

Went Good

They were fast, efficient and not too expensive!

It was an excellent experience, and I definitely would use E-Z Movers again. I have already recommended them to a couple of friends who are considering moves in the near future.

The move went great! The two men arrived on time and ready to move. They were very careful with all my furniture. The new place I was moving into was a 3-story condo with many winding staircases. They managed to get everything in its place without scuffing the walls or damaging anything. E-Z Movers is great and I would use them again.

They arrived on time. They used pads and protected my furniture and my walls. They were a hardworking but fun group.

The job went much better than expected. I contacted the company based on reviews from Angies list. I explained what I needed and some of the unique issues with the job. The company listened and was sensitive to each issue. The move was scheduled for about a week out from my first contact with the company. The company did a check-in the day before the move. The movers showed up 2 minutes early. There were two movers assigned to this job - John and Mike. Both movers were professional, polite and very careful with our stuff. No dings, scratches on any wall or any item. Yet, these guys really hustled. No breaks, no cell phones, no text messaging, no wasted motion- just flat-out 100% effort (and good teamwork) from the minute they arrived. They charged $75 per hour with a 2 hour minimim. Travel charges did not apply in my case.The job took 1 hr 15 minutes. I would use this moving company again.

Other than showing up at the back end of their stated 11-2 time (they were within the time, I was impatient) everything went great. They asked for a quick tour and got right to work. They were quick, gentle with our stuff loading it onto the truck. We managed to fill up the entire truck in three hours. They did forget a couple of boxes, but we didn't have to be out of our old place, so it isn't a big deal. We met up at our new house and they cranked it out in an hour and a half. We told them where to put everything and it all got where it need to go, pretty painless. Now we have to unpack the boxes, ugh. EZ movers (Chris Joe & Sam) were terrific, professional and we would use them again for anything we need.

They were super careful with our things. Everything was strapped down and carefully loaded. They did a lot of work in the time allotted. We were able to move everything in one day. We booked them at the last minute and we had a little trouble getting an exact time that they would show up. It turned out to be about three hours after dispatch told us the movers would be at our storage space. That was the only complaint we had with them. It would have been better had they been more honest about when they could show up. From what we learned that miscue was a result of the previous client adding on time. Given that we made a late decision to hire movers to help us, we were willing to deal with this delay. I think if we had scheduled ahead of time and there was this much of a wait, we would have been less patient.
