The sidewalk has a dip in front of the step where water and ice collect. The driveway which was totally torn out has weeds coming up through it. ( 3 inches of blacktop he said ) Weeds came through with in 2 months. I have had driveways for 10 years and no weeds came through. I had the driveway put in May2016, No one came out to look at it or fix it. so we will see this year. They said they would give me a free sealing because there are tire marks left in it. but we will see if they come out for that. Not to happy with this company at all. Ready to take legal action. they will have till may 30th then I will be done with this company.

The initial experience was good with what we believed was a fair price and a professional service by the family owned business. Within a month, it was obvious there was a defect in the installation and a low spot led to a large collection of water near the garage. It took multiple interactions to get a reply and offer to repair the situation. The repair was a very poor "patch" and the work crew left without any interaction as to the correction of the problem. The owner was notified and promised to fix to our satisfaction but then never returned. A year later and after threatening legal action the repair was made to our satisfaction and the owner put in writing his agreement to seal the entire driveway (normal maintenance) with us paying for the wholesale cost of materials. HOWEVER, they never returned and now that the season is over, we are left with a driveway unsealed and vulnerable to winter deterioration. Charlie's Paving offers a 10 year guarantee if they seal the drive so we are now concerned we have lost that insurance and will find a deteriorating driveway due to lack of proper maintenance. We are now seeking legal action to resolve. We would not recommend their services and wish we would have paid more for someone more responsive. If someone should choose their company, I would recommend everything in writing and have a very low threshold for seeking legal solutions to an inadequate service.

I called three times (August 6, 13, 17) I spoke with Patti on the first call and she said that someone would come to give a quote after that weekend. No one called and two more calls later left on their answer machine has achieved nothing. Very disappointed as they can highly recommended.

We have a small back yard with an in ground pool installed many years ago by a former owner. The yard around the concrete apron of the pool was not level and made the yard not functional for our family, as we have a family member who uses a wheelchair. I knew Charlie's Paving is a well established, 40 year plus respected local business specializing in asphalt driveways and while discussing a future driveway replacement, talked about my backyard needs. He stated that he would be happy to assist with that project as well and that in addition to asphalt driveways, they also install concrete walkways, backyard patios and projects like mine. We discussed many options and spent over a year having numerous conversations about what would be the best solution for our family from both a budgetary and overall functionality perspective. After discussing many options, we determined that by bringing in fill and topsoil and installing sod would provide the best overall use of space for us. We scheduled a date for the project and the Charlie's Paving crew came on schedule with their equipment. Charlie Finocchario oversaw his crew performing the necessary site prep work before bring in the necessary fill and topsoil to level our backyard. As Charlie indicated that he would, he brought in loads of topsoil via bobcat, raked out by his team and perfectly rolled flat and hard, ready for the installation of sod, as promised. His team was respectful of neighbors properties in our somewhat confined work area, they were professional and committed to the task. Upon completion of the job, we had completely new back yard, flat as a pancake and ready for sod to be placed. The work was quality, and performed in the timeline promised. All remnants of the job were cleaned afterward, to the sweeping of the driveway and road areas where dirt was transported from to picking up water bottles on the job site. The area was perfectly neat and clean after they left. I would definitely hire Charlie's Paving again without question, highly recommend their work and we will be discussing a new driveway next summer.

Excellent work at a price far below competition. Arrived when they said they would and were very efficient and performed extra work without asking for more money ( I needed a basketball pole removed).

He was very responsive until the job was started. The office never returns calls. I have made many, many calls to the office which are either answered by an answering machine or a woman. If you leave a message, no one calls back. If you speak to her, she tells you she will get back to you and does not. I have literally called a dozen times to no avail. The reason I have been calling is because the driveway has cracks after 2 years and I can not get them to return a call to fix it or even look at it. Charlie told us this would be covered in our warranty ... what good is a warranty if it is not honored. He also told us that our first sealing would be covered and when we had it done, he billed us for it (and we did pay for it). I never would have put in the 20 calls required to get them to seal the driveway if I knew we were going to have to pay for it. I have been beyond patient with this matter and all that it has gotten me is indigestion.

Owner (Charlie) made a point of the thickness of the asphalt they would apply (3" rather than 2" offered by most companies), and how this would produce a better result, no edge cracking, etc. Charlie was nowhere to be seen when workers arrived. Final paving was not 3" as advertised. Charlie was very hard to contact; reached him once, and he promised me a $400 rebate. Rebate was never made. I tried stopping at their 'office' (i.e., house), and was greeted by a large aggressive dog - I never got out of my car. Sent a registered letter to them, they never accepted delivery. The driveway they installed is OK, but there is some edge cracking, and the job was not done to the specifications promised. Take your money elsewhere.

Charlies Paving did a great job. I am very pleased with the work and how fast it was accomplished. I would use them again and recommend them.

Charles Paving did a very nice job. We have had a few problems with the driveway and we've been calling him to have him come out. He won't return my calls, so I may not hire them again if they don't. I'm just annoyed that he won't call back.

Charlie's Paving was the only company we could find willing to dig out a big tree root under the driveway. They did a good, clean job except the edging was not perfectly straight.
