Brian Doehler's Appliance Svc

The company's number one technician, Mike, came to the house as scheduled, phoning ahead as promised by company owner, Brian in the conversation he and I had had the day before. That initial conversation with Brian was an important experience for me: he's the owner and he took the time to engage this potential new customer in person. I told him that I had just joined Angie's List specifically to get the right guy to take care of the issue with my refrigerator. There was no rushing on Brian's part to end the conversation. He had a friendly and assuring manner, and when we were done talking, I felt like I had just made a new friend! Mike was equally relational when he arrived the next day, connecting comfortably with me, my wife, and our 2 dogs. He got right to work diagnosing, while engaging in pleasantries. We were impressed that Mike's van contained the specific part that our specific refrigerator-freezer required. After installing that amazing 2-part electronic optic sensor system, he noticed that the narrow panel between the refrigerator and freezer sections of the appliance was unusually warm. He dealt with that potentially BIG problem as a free bonus service. He took off the bottom panel of the refrigerator and vacuumed out massive clumps of puppy hair that had been sucked in by the cooling fan. In so doing, Mike effectively eliminated a significant layer of unwanted "insulation" from coils that otherwise could never have been cooled adequately by the overworked fan. All of this was done with efficiency, neatness, and a smile. And the hot divider panel cooled right down. Mike made some other recommendations, for example about where to secure a reasonably priced replacement water filter, and about the name of a reliable and reasonable plumber who could upgrade the copper water supply to our icemaker (there was a question about the adequacy of the current tubing's diameter for efficient in-door water glass filling -- the water stream was thin and slow -- as well as the filling of the ice maker). Once again, my wife and I felt like we had just made a good friend, someone we could trust absolutely, and someone we would confidently recommend to others in need. As an EXTRA bonus, Mike made a couple of good suggestions about restaurants we might want to try, as our light conversation concluded with his and our sharing our intentions to dine out that evening! Oh, yes, my brand new Angies List membership has hit a home run, so much so that I've already booked another Angie's List service provider to take care of my driveway -- tomorrow.

My oven wasn't working (burners and broiler, but not oven.) The repairman replaced the bottom element timely and efficiently. As if an after thought he decided to look at the back of my stove. He removed the back panel (in my presence) and discovered that half of the junction box was melted. I have no doubt that had he not taken the extra step I would have eventually had a potentially catastrophic fire. Excellent work!!!

Brian provided a free estimate which was rare and refreshing. It was also great to have the owner of the company do the actual work on my washer. He didn't just guess from afar what needed to be done; he actually did a hands on, trouble shooting inspection. His repair was quick and efficient (out in less than an hour). Brian was also very friendly and respectful, yet professional. I would highly recommend him.

Responded very efficiently via telephone. Came for service same day as informed of problem. Gave the appliance the once over. Cleaned the coils as well. Very professional and efficient. Would highly recommend him for any appliance service requirements.

Did a wonderful job fast which is what we needed as we were having company for dinner!

Had an appointment on Tuesday with our other provider. Called Brian Friday night and left a message hoping to connect the next day. He called back within the hour (on a Friday night!) he came over the following day and repaired the fridge. Pleasant, professional, and prompt. I guess there is a good reason he gets such rave reviews.

Brian got back to me right away and came out and repaced the burned out heating element.but turns out i had more than one problem so he had to order another controller and he came out again after receiving the part from the factory.He did not charge me for the service call on the second trip out ,only for the part

I sent Brian an email via Angie's List and he called me the following day and arrived to fix the leak within an hour or two. He was professional and courteous and fast!!

Splendidly. Service Tech Mike called with an approximate arrival time and was here when he said he would be. He is a friendly and throughly professional service person in every way. He is caring and concerned and neat. Mike explained what he was doing at every step along the way. There were no surprises and he was most informative. Our refrigerator's upper unit (it is a bottom freezer) was not cooling. There were three possible answers. The easy ones disappeared quickly and Mike did it all so very neatly and completely. Mike is the consummate pro. He is well mannered and well trained. He has a great sense of respect and a fine sense of humor. His work ethic is total and his level of professionalism is spot on.

I highly recommend this company. Mr. Doehler takes pride in his work. He provided service on the same day that I called and my refrigerator has been working fine ever since.

The technician called before arriving to let us know he was on his way. He quickly diagnosed the problem and made the fix. He also gave tips to keep it from happening again. Very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. I highly recommend them.

They were called to fix our Amana refrigerator which stopped working. Called on Sunday night and had them come by at 10:30 as promised on Monday morning. Mike donned booties and discovered that the fan which pushes the cold air from the freezer to the upper refrigerator was getting stuck and needed to be replaced. They had to order the part from Albany which would be there by next afternoon. He showed me that there was a problem with the defrost valve (?) and suggested that we fix it (20.00 part) while it was already pulled apart. He said would only charge for the part, not the labor. He left. I went downstairs to discover a flood from my washer. I called him to find that he was just around the block and he came back to find a failed gasket. Next day, Mike returned with Brian and they worked -one in the basement, one in the kitchen - and things were quickly fixed. Overall, a good experience. They were friendly and professional.

Actually used him twice. Both times were great. Returned from vacation to find my hardwood floor in the kitchen covered in water from the freezer. Got on Angie's list found Brian gave him a call and left him a message. he called me back right away said he wasn't far away and came right over. Fixed the freezer in about 30 minutes cleaned up after his work had an excellent price on the bill and was finished. What can I say I would recommend him for any repair for quality, punctuality, friendliness, professionalism and flat out great work.

Excellent experience. Responded quickly; came when he said he would. From start to finish, it was a great job - what a difference!! I feel like we're breathing clean air for the first time in years!!

I called the company, I left a voice mail, someone called me back quickly and actually came out to my house the same day to look at a fridge that had been leaking. I believe he wore a company logo shirt and was very friendly. After a few minutes we weren't sure if it was the fridge or my pipes that had caused the leak, he made a call and they were able to figure out a way to determine that it was indeed a faulty valve in my fridge. a part was ordered and about 10 days later they called to say the part was in and they could come out that same day to repair. It worked out better for me for them to come the next day. They were very careful moving my fridge out on the hardwood floors, they covered their shoes, were friendly to my dog. It was overall the type of experience you would hope to have. I would definitely recommend them.

The technician was punctual, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. I will call Doehler's again next time we have a large appliance problem.

10 year old Kenmore dryer wouldn't heat up on Sunday night. After poking around online for a quick fix, determined it would be simpler to either get it fixed by a professional or buy a new one. Wasn't really looking to buy a new dryer at this time, so took a chance with repair. Called Monday morning about 8am and Brian was here by 10am. Checked out dryer and found problem with heater coil very quickly. Had part we needed in his truck and replaced it. Then went through and thoroughly cleaned all the lint that had accumulated over the years. Would definitely use again!

Our refrigerator stopped working on a Saturday evening and we noticed it Sunday morning. We were concerned all our food would spoil so we took a long shot that someone would be able to come out on a Sunday. They came within an hour! The repairman was very professional and knowledgeable, and was able to fix the problem quickly. Would definitely recommend their services.

It couldn't of went better! Brian was extremely friendly and personable, and efficient. He diagnosed the problem immediately and if it weren't for the fact we were conversing, he would have been in and out of here in probably 15 minutes! I would HIGHLY recommend him. His rate was very reasonable. Great experience!
