It went very well. One day to clean ducts and 3 days to install furnace. I want to shout out to their technician, Brad Wagner. He was awesome! We have heat and the thermostat (wireless) is dead on.

We found someone else that we preferred. They were a little less customer-friendly than the people we finally chose. They were very knowledgeable but we just weren’t as comfortable as the person we chose. Their estimate was much higher than the other companies we tried.

They were excellent! The Arctic Bear inspector who arrived was quite thorough and conscientious. When he discovered a gas leak on the furnace, he called an additional Arctic Bear inspector to come assist him with the inspection. During the inspection, they discovered a gas leak, corrosion on the air conditioning coils, and that the furnace was emitted carbon monoxide levels of 1300 when the highest allowed by safety regulations is 30. They pointed out that whoever had originally installed the furnace never installed a gas shut off valve which was against building code. The complete inspection took the two technicians about four hours because of all of the issues that they discovered with the HVAC system. Also, they did a wonderful job of ensuring that everything was back in its place and neat & tidy. Their thoroughness in their inspection saved me a ton of money had I bought this home without having this detailed inspection done. If you are thinking of buying a home, then I totally recommend that you have an HVAC Inspection done by a specialist. And if you are having an inspection done, then I totally recommend that you have the Arctic Bear technicians perform. You will most definitely get your money's worth!

I woke up one morning to find my heating system had stopped working. Called Arctic Bear who were able to schedule an appointment for 90 minutes later. Two gentlemen arrived approximately one hour later and set to work quickly identifying the source of the problem, they were able to give me a precise quote for the repair and upon approval quickly completed the task. While working they noticed two ancient valves and after getting my okay checked the seal on both and discovered I had a small gas leak that I was unaware of. Needless to say I was very grateful that they thought to look for this and notify me of the problem. Not only were both gentlemen very polite and friendly, but they even helped me take apart one radiator that hadn't been working and gave me advice on what the possible problem could be and how to address it. What impressed me the most was the more senior of the two gentlemen made sure before accepting payment that I was fully satisfied and asked if they could be of any other use. I thought that was especially kind and helpful on top of their excellent work and speedy arrival.

It was discovered there was a crack in the furnace just as we started to go into the cold season. Unfortunately it took about two weeks for them to be able to replace due to how busy they are which concerned me. Once they arrived, the men worked quickly and efficiently. They took the old furnace with them. The workers took the time to listen to my need to relocate where they were going to put the outside air conditioner and discussed the pros/cons of different locations before a decision was made. One of the workers took the time to explain the features of the new equiment to me and the recommended maintenance for the future.They got the job done and cleaned up after themselves.

Two servicemen from Arctic Bear arrived about 9 AM and completed their work by about 6 PM that evening. They removed the existing furnace which was probably about forty years old and sealed the old chimney connection for the old vent pipe. They installed the new equipment on the existing concrete pad of the old furnace and made all the connections to the existing duct work. A new vent pipe had to be installed, which they ran under the basement ceiling to an outside wall. I was particularly impressed by the care they took in installing this vent pipe, since they needed to access the outside basement wall directly behind and over our rec-room piano. They were able to install the pipe without the slightest disturbance to the piano, lighting, photographs or other objects in the work area. Overall, the job would probably have been finished sooner; however, there was a glitch in connecting the new thermostat - it did not appear to be communicating correctly with the new furnace. After a process of trial and elimination, they were able to determine that there was a problem with the old thermostat wiring, which they isolated in the basement ceiling and were able to install new wiring to correct the problem. Other than a standard lunch break, the men were dedicated in their work. They also contacted the City Code Enforcement, who came to inspect the installation, which he approved. I had selected Arctic Bear for this job based on other reviews I had found on Angie's List. By coincidence, only a few days after researching the company online, I came across a kiosk of theirs at the local mall, talked with the company representative and made arrangements for someone to contact me, which they did just a few days later. We made arrangements for a representative to come to the house to review the situation and offer solutions and an estimate. The representative arrived on time, was friendly and helpful and walked me through the company's products and services. We agreed upon what system(s) would be included in our contract and within a few days, the service team was on the scene to install the new system. The price for the new system seemed more than fair, based on my own research. The company offers various financing options and we opted for a 15 month, zero percent interest, financing. We provided a partial payment on the day the service was performed. In sum, the company and its representatives were responsive, very professional and technically proficient. My wife and I are very pleased with the new system.

They worked VERY hard in our basement (this house is almost 100 years old) and it wasn't an easy job. They were extremely polite and finished in one day (almost an eight hour job). They are always very considerate and hard working.

Had 2 outdoor faucets needing repair. One certainly needed a new stem and spigot, the other we weren't sure. Both had the anti-syphon valves leaking. Arctic Bear plumber came out... had the stem for faucet 1. Checking the other, tried to find an anti-syphon on truck that would fit (they tend to be proprietary, he said). As he was disassembling the faucet, he said 'is this upside down?' Turns out, I had put the replacement in upside down (doh!). So, he flipped it over and viola! Fixed... NO CHARGE. hehe. The other, replaced and everything cleaned up and good to go. Stem, service call, and install for < $300. NOTE: A different company wanted minimum $500 PER faucet to do the same work... and didn't even look at them very closely. So... 280 vs. 1,000. I am very happy with Arctic Bear and am considering their regular service plan.

The installers arrived when they said they would, we're courteous and professional, and did a great job. They also cleaned-up afterwards and left everything in good order. Overall, a very satisfying experience.

I spoke with Dan, their service rep., at the beginning of June, after we had our furnace inspected by another company and were told that we would need to replace it. He was wonderful to work with. He explained who the company is, what they stand for, told me about the owner and the technicians, all before even starting to discuss possibly selling us a new furnace. When he did talk about the furnace, he explained all the options that were available to us, not simply trying to sell the most expensive model. He gave us plenty of information on how each one operates, explaining the advantages of each one. There was no preassure to choose Artic Bear, which I found most impressive, as the first company we had dealt with had preassured me almost to the point of bullying in trying to make me decide on them, and questioned why I would need to do further research before choosing them! Before he was even finished with the presentation, I told Dan that we wanted to purchase our furnace from Artic Bear and have them do the install. We also chose to have our air ducts cleaned at the same time. The team arrived yesterday morning around 9AM to install the new furnace and clean the ducts. They competed the work by around 3PM. The entire team of technicians were courteous and respectful of our home. They put sheets down on all carpeted surfaces to protect from dirt, and cleaned incredibly well when they were finished. It was a pleasure to have them do the work. We are so impressed with the work that this company does. Everyone that we had contact with, from Dan to Paula to Jason and his team of technicians are so professional and friendly. We would totally recommend this company to anyone needing plumbing and/or HVAC work done, and plan to have them replace our central air conditioning unit next spring. They do great quality work for a reasonable price, and respond quickly and courteously. Just a great company from top to bottom!

They were courteous and punctual but a bit pushy.

The overall process for replacing the AC was very positive. The staff of Arctic Bear was extremely professional and took their time to make sure the job was done correctly. In fact, they noticed a problem with the previous installation of the furnace (different company) and corrected it as part of their work. The company was also helpful in the scheduling of the job and worked with my needs. I felt Arctic Bear offered great value! Their prices were very competitive considering the high quality of their equipment (Trane), and the high quality of their installation and customer service.

Guy came to my house to look at my boiler that needs repair. He charges me $159 to look at my boiler and tells me he can fix it and that I need a new one. He says I can get the $159 back if I get a new boiler installed from them and quoted me over $8000 on a new boiler. The woman who gave me the appointment never mentioned they charge $159 just to look at a boiler. I was under the impression it was a free estimate. He was only there for about 10 minutes. Beware of these guys.

The professionals at Arctic Bear found that our 55 year old boiler had a gas leak and was sending dangerous carbon monoxide into our basement. They immediately shut down our boiler to keep our family safe. Since it was still very cold outside, Arctic Bear lent us several electric space heaters to keep our family warm through the night. At 7 am the next morning the Arctic Bear team was on our doorstep ready to tear out the old boiler and install a brand new high efficiency boiler. The men who worked in our home were polite and professional. We have 2 young children who wanted to "help" and all the guys were super patient and engaging with our boys. When the team was done you would never have known that we had men working in the house all day. It was spotless!!! Drop cloths were put down over all our floors and booties were worn when walking on carpet. Friendly, professional, competent, knowledgeable and helpful. That's the team at Arctic Bear.

They were about an hour late getting started, but they made up for it by doing some additional minor jobs. 3 guys took 3 hours to do all that. They cleaned up as well as could be expected. Barely a week and a half from the time I first called them to get the estimate, and then to get the work done. They seem to take pride in the work they do. Very friendly and accommodating.

They showed up on time and stuck to the price quoted. Will use them again.

They were excellent. They were punctual. They went beyond what they had to do. They bill by the job, not by the hour. They were very nice and helpful. The price was very good.

They were very prompt and fixed the problem the same day (replaced thermocouple on boiler).

They showed with in an hour of when I called and the following day they came and installed the furnace.

There was a problem with my mother's furnace so I arranged with them to come out and take a look at it. They did a good job. It was satisfying. I chose them based on their reviews in Angie's List. They also cleaned up their mess.

Al went well. They are professional, punctual and follow up on any service done. I have used them in the past and will continue to do so.

Originally the reason we did do the upstairs bathroom other than cosmetic is because we could finally do it, we had the money but it was the water coming through the ceiling from the upstairs bathroom and finally to the kitchen. So he also took care of that and then more minor things as well. His prices were extremely competitive, they were in the average not bagging basement range but also low for the work that he did. We are people that, we search things pretty well, we don't take the first quote and we don't take the lowest because we look into what we compare against, the actual plan and pick the person that is most reasonable as per the work they will do so also we chose very well with Arctic Bear.
