Where do I start.....OK, Communication...dosen't exist with this company. they had a diagram of patio and they still screwed up the dimensions. Instead of talking to homeowner they dump the fill where they thought was a good stop. When I questioned the amount of base gravel in one spot was low they ignored me and guess what.....That's where the pad cracked one year later. Finally after 6 months of trying to reach them (had to involve the BBB) to give me a estimate to repair the crack, they respond with a $150 charge for a $10 tube of caulk to install. My advise...go ahead and call them. Their prices are good but remember you get what you pay for. I would never recommend them to anyone. Shop around....There are a lot of good contractors who stand by their work after the job is done. Starkrete is not one of them!!!
Everything came out the way I wanted. The patio was even better than I had pictured in my mind.

So far so good - the work was just completed and sealed and is a big improvement from the prior condition. Rob Peretore performed the estimate last fall. Sal Peretore and his employee Jason performed the work this April, once the weather cooperated. Sal was in regular communication with me and worked with me to address all issues and changes throughout, which I greatly appreciated.

These guys were excellent. Showed up, got to work and finished in a very timely manner. Minimal disruption throughout the day. Will have them back in the fall for more work. Thank you
Our garage floor was in horrible shape and desperately in need of some attention. The salesman came, gave us a reasonable estimate and we moved forward with the job. It’s amazing to us that they were able to make our garage floor that was in such bad shape look so good. Almost a year later the garage floor looks as good as it did the day it was finished. The company was great to work with. We plan to have them install a back patio this year and we can’t wait!!
Description of Work: Garage floor repair and resurface
I was impressed at how quickly they had everything formed and ready to pour. It went alot faster than I thought it would. I was pleased when they went over the process and the after care with me. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for concrete work.

Starkrete products are not professional and they don’t stand behind their product. Starkrete came out to my house and did a free estimate for resurfacing my garage floor, went over all my options, let me look at different “color” schemes, explained how they repaired cracks, and also explained that I would not need to have my floor leveled. They talked about how they do this type of work all the time and was a simple job. They seemed very professional and when the quote came back I decided to go with them as they were in line with other companies. I was told it was a 3 day process, so I took off from work and at the end of the 3rd day I went into my garage and was shocked to see that the final coat was completely missing in 4’ section, in other sections the floor felt like walking on nails and finally there was/is a foggy look in sections. They explained to us later it was due to putting down the coating during colder weather. After going back and forth multiple times with Starkrete they agreed to fix the issues, as they admitted they had forgotten to smooth out the star chips on day 2, and they were not sure how they managed to miss the final coat in large areas of the floor. After leaving from the repair job, I re-inspected the floor and found they STILL were missing sections (i.e. the coating did not go up to the garage wall), as well as the foggy color was still present, which they explained they can’t fix until summer. As I could not afford to take off another day of work, my girlfriend stayed home from her work and sat in the garage and inspected the job herself and pointed out the areas they seemed to continue to miss. This whole process took multiple weeks to which our cars had to sit outside. A few weeks after they left we received our first rain only to find the garage floor had horrible pooling issues. After calling Starkrete about the issue, it was explained to me that I never paid for the floor to be leveled, to which I reminded them that I was told it was not needed. Sadly they would not do anything to fix this, without me paying for the additional modification. I asked if they felt like this was their standard quality of work and that I felt the quality was extremely sub-par and a partial refund was warranted. This was months ago and I have never received as much as a call back. I have been talking to co-workers about this issue and lack of “standing behind their product” and have heard similar stories. I would avoid this company as they are not as professional as they advertise.

I usually don’t hire contractors to do work around my house but I’m glad I did this time. They removed me old cracked up concrete and installed a new stamped walkway in a very timely manor. The new walkway looks amazing and would HIGHLY recommend you give this company an opportunity.
The laborers ranged from professional to very unprofessional - foul language, left lunch garbage, loud music, dangerous debris (wood with nails, piles, etc). A few were actually very nice. The initial phase of work was OK. Fixed a couple of errors promptly - first, they were required to install a perimeter foundation on a patio and had intended to not do that, but instead do an on-grade pour - the other was a measurement issue that was not their fault. The concrete finish work was done without homeowners required input (per contract), resulting in a finish that was vastly different from what homeowner wanted. Homeowners were around all day with the laborer and no input was sought. The company provided a fix by putting a top coat on the slab - I am hoping this will have acceptable longevity. Workers left considerable concrete dust, surface coloring dust and debris splashed on the house siding and door. The last phase was for stone veneer work. Company had considerable existing examples on the home as to what was needed. The work completed for this phase was by any standard, horrible. The work was viewed (and approved) by the Contractor daily. Many stones were not level, poorly arranged, many large gaps exposing the underlying concrete block, mortar squished in haphazardly with fingers, many veneer stones broken irregularly in many places and squashed into voids. This work had to be entirely demolished and rebuilt by another employee who was very good. Every stone removed. My experience was that the Contractor had to be "forced" to do reasonable quality - just plain reasonable, not professional or "good". Contractor was indeed polite and fixed the problems during a lengthy and frustrating process, though I personally had to watch the whole process and stop Contractor and demand that the errors be corrected. I got the feeling that the Contactor would have take any shortcut (at my expense) had I not been watching.

Initially I would rate their work excellent but now I would not recommend them. After completing the job in August of 2017, I was told by the installer that the driveway did not have to be sealed so it wasn't. As a result, this spring a large number of pits appeared in my driveway probably caused from salt falling off my vehicles. When I called the company about this I was told that the driveway should have been sealed . The contract I had with them included sealing but I accepted what they told me. I was advised that they would repair the pits and seal the driveway with a cost to me of $700, or I could buy the sealant for $150 and seal it myself. I believe it was the fault of company for telling me that it did not have to be sealed because I would have had it sealed if they told me that it needed to be. I tried to negotiate a fair price for sealing and repairing the pits in my driveway but as of this writing, the company is refusing to accept any responsibility for their actions. As a result, I hired another contractor to seal my driveway and will never do business with Starcrete again.

Very scary for us, but they worked with us so my husband could run electric and plumbing below the concrete. They did a great job. Only negative is when we were out of town they were not on the job everyday so the project completed a couple weeks later than we had expected. This was a HUGE job! Colors didn't come out exactly like everyone expected, but we had been warned this is possible with acid washes. Still the finished project is fabulous! We are considering having them do some siding and maybe a driveway. They were very clean and neat while doing the job, everything was left in an excellent state upon completion. Would encourage people to give this product and company a try. There are SO many things that can be done with concrete and it is beautiful and durable, as well as low maintenance.

RUN, do not walk, away from this contractor for ANYTHING!!! The garage floor that was put in is unlevel and has cracked. Large pieces have come up from the base layer due to the fact that the base layer was no prepped properly and the top layer has seperated. The workers looked as though the contractor picked them up on the corner that morning. They were very slow and smoked outside on the street in front of the house without asking us if it was okay to do so. The first layer was put down in the garage and it was extremely uneven. This caused the top, and final layer, to be uneven and have peaks and valleys throughout the floor. The owner came over to collect the final payment and we asked him if that was the way the floor was supposed to look. He stated that it was and he thought his crew had done a great job. Within a month or so of having the new floor, a heavy tool was dropped on the floor. At the place of impact, a large part of the top layer of the floor seperated from the base layer. This has happened several times over the last year. Eventually we will need to have this floor removed and replaced since it is not functional and looks very bad.

I had an old 32 year old concrete patio at my summer home and had Starkrete cover it with the stamped decorated concrete. It was beautiful that first summer. After the first winter the color had washed away leaving many grey patches. It took a month of phone calls and emails to get them back out there to redo the color and put a rough top coat on it. After the second winter more of the same with the addition of a crack. In fairness...the crack was there before and I was told that it might reappear and that we would deal with it at that time. That's all well and good but the company NEVER returns phone calls or emails including my two in the last month. Therefore, I have given up harrassing and stressing over it and written it off as a very bad investment. I plan to look at other alternatives or companies. Buyer beware...this is the most unreliable business I have ever had to deal with. Once the job is done...he is done with you. He does not stand behind his product and hasn't the slightest interest in resolving any issues in a timely manner.
Description of Work: This is a stamped and dcorated concrete over new or existing concrete. Make sure you request the rough top coat as without it the surface is VERY slippery when it's wet. Definitely not safe at all. Perhaps it will also help in retaining the color that seems to disapper following every winter.

Terrible. After the first winter company was contacted stamp coating was starting to deteriorate. They did come out and make repair. Second winter more detioration - company contacted and repairs made. Third winter - even more deterioration, company contacted no reply. Fourth winter massive deterioration - contact company - no reply. There is such deterioration to the starts and stoop where Starkrete made the repair that everything has to be torn out and redone the correct way with a correct concrete mix to pour. What is happening is where stamp coating has deteriorated away their concrete underneath is powder and large stone constantly coming through. Deterioration is at least 2/3 of there work and still deteriorating. I have pictures of deterioration progress.
Description of Work: The company was to tear out and replace deteriorating concerete steps and edges of the stoop to the front of house. Then put stamp coating over.
