CNY Tree Service

I first called another tree company I'd used in the past but they wouldn't return my calls when I mentioned that ivy was involved. I contacted another firm and the owner said they were not interested in the ivy removal. So I moved on to contact Tom at CNY and he came out that day to look things over. He agreed to take the job, giving me a great price for the tree removal, and an hourly rate for the ivy. Tom and his crew came today and got the job done, cutting the trees, grinding the stumps, and removing the ivy, then cleaned up well, and I'm very happy with the result! Tom and his crew, Jordan and Tim, are nice people and I noticed how much they enjoy each other's company, besides being very polite to me. And they're strong like bulls. I highly recommend them.

It went very well as they arrived on time and worked for approximately 6 hours to complete the job to beyond my expectations. I would not hesitate to use them again or to refer them to friends or neighbors . Also , their price was also very competitive with the others , however I choose them based on knowing they would do the job right .

Very punctual for giving estimate, he even picked me up from where I work when he did the estimate. I told him no real big hurry in doing the tree trimming so he actually did the work about 3 weeks after he gave me the estimate. About 8 - 10 medium size and height trees were trimmed along a long driveway, and one of those really prickly pine type trees was completely taken down right next to a house. There actually was in my opinion quite a bit of work involved and I thought the estimate was going to be in excess of $1000, but it was half of that. Clean up...I did not even know that all of that trimming had taken place as far as clean up went, no sign at all of heavy tree trimming, clean up was excellent! I was very satisfied with CNY and I will most definitely use them again in the future which will probable be like every 2 yrs. And this work was done for a rental property, which he could have cut corners if he wanted to, but he did not.

CNY arrived a 8AM and began work. They removed a Pine tree on the side of my house. They had the entire tree down, chipped up and the trunk cut and neatly stacked by 8:25AM. Next they moved into the backyard to remove a very large spruce tree and a mature maple tree. There were 5 young maple trees growing at various angles against my chain link fence that they also removed. They ground out the stumps of each tree and cleaned up the chips. They trimmed up the mature maple tree in the front yard and you wouldn't have even known it because there wasnt one chip on the ground when they were done. The owner saw the branches from the oak tree laying on our garage roof and asked if we would like him to trim them back, (at no extra charge). I told him to go ahead. The entire job was finished by 2:30PM. The clean up was magnificent. All the young men working for the owner, Tom, were friendly and courteous. The owner, Tom, was friendly and explained anything I didn't understand. I will have CNY Tree Service do all my work in the future.

Setting up an appointment was a breeze. Spoke with the owner of the company himself, Tom Kaczynski, and set a date to have the work done the following week. Being that the dead tree was very close to our home, we were concerned and watched with great trepidation that all would go smoothly. Not only did CNY arrive on time (an issue which has been problematic with other home repair services in the past), but Tom and his helpers were very professional and did an excellent job. Safety seemed to be a primary concern, and precautions were taken to ensure that the tree would fall in pieces as far away from our home as possible. My husband and I were quite impressed with all that goes into ensuring the job goes right! Needless to say, we were very pleased with our choice of CNY to remove (and haul away) our problem tree as well as to take care of some dead branches as well. In the past we have had some dodgy experiences with home repair type companies, so I wanted to let Angie's List know that we are happy to report we'd found a winner.

called CNY tree service for price of taking down 2 large trees. Tom came out and checked the trees. He knew the neighborhood had been flooded from the 9/2011 flood. He said,he only wanted money for gas, for coming out to take down the trees. He said anything else we wanted to offer to pay, we could donate to charities, he only wanted gas money. We said ok. Tom came down, climbed the trees, roped them, with in a few minutes the trees were down. He recommended that I place ad for free wood, cut and haul. I did and it was gone within week. I appreciate the kindness that CNY offered in only charging for gas. This company did not have to do this for this cheap amount. I would highly recommend using CNY tree service again and at full price.

Tom was friendly and professional. The work was done well and price was as he had estimated.
