Chris assured us he would call before he came to start the work. We had an appointment in Binghamton and when we arrived at home he and his crew (more workers than needed) had already removed the pillars from the small roof covering the entrance. I reminded him that he was to call first. In a very nasty tone of voice he said his wife had called but we were not at home and he could not waste time because the equipment needed was rented (that is my recollection) and he had to pay the workers, etc. etc. I told him to settle down and that the reason we wanted the call was so we could empty the garage. He said he was not going to get to the garage that day. Our phone lists the last 30 calls to our home and there was no call made to us that morning or the day before. We noticed later that the roof had pulled away about half and inch from the house when the pillars were removed. Our main problem was the garage that he promised would be like new when finished. It was pitted and we thought he would do something more than have four men spread sakrete around. He would come back when it dried. He then rolled something over the cement that he said would help the top coat adhere. He showed me a five gallon can of the paint he was putting on and informed me he had paid $100 for it. When he came back to check the job after it had dried we showed him all the "bubbles" that were on the floor that we felt would break when the car went over them but he said it would not be a problem. Within about four months the floor was a mess. Because it was then in the colder months nothing could be done because nothing would have dried. We called when the weather warmed up and he said he would come and repair it. He began to add a new type of paint and it was not going on well. He left with 1/4 of the floor unfinished and it remains that way. We played phone tag as well as talking with him and hearing his excuses and finally, on July 18, my husband called to ask if he was ever really going to come back. It did not sound like he would. Things went from bad to worse and voices were raised. Chris asked what we wanted and he was told a full refund of the $1900 he charged for the floor. He said he might be able to give us $150 and we said NO! He said he could start over and ?????(I cannot remember the word) the cement but he could not do it for nothing . So we are short $1900 and left with a terrible and unfinished job. There is much more about his attitude but there is no need to add that....the job he did in the garage was the main complaint.

Poor building materials estimating. Workers did not adhere to no smoking in new house. Hardwood floors not installed properly. Some bad taping and spackling. Water pipes put in wrong. Paint spackles on floors and woodwork.
