Brushes Over Broome

It went great. They were prompt - or called if they were delayed. They consulted in detail with us on selection of surface finishes - real world information about proper uses of and pros/cons of satin/eggshell/flat/gloss/semi-gloss. We adjusted our plans a bit based on their inputs. They had helpful thoughts about the pros/cons of using slightly warmed trim colors in some cases instead of glaring white - and the when's and where's the stark white is better. They were clean and meticulous beyond belief in most cases. All gaps in wall/floor moldings were caulked (invisibly) before painting. The same care was used in caulking around window frames and door frames. They did cut some corners when painting around door hardware. Door lock plates should have been removed before painting the doors. Some hinges received an unneeded splash of paint here and there. The same care that the main rooms received was used in painting the closets. Their prep work was generally very good. They did a good job on fixing/obscuring some ceiling cracks, minor dings and nail holes, plus some larger repairs where curtain rods had been removed, and a water damaged area of plaster was restored. These guys are not cheap, but they will not disappoint you. About $5500 for the whole job, including 13 gallons of paint and other materials. The house was built in 1936 and had lath/plaster walls and ceilings throughout. The work team consisted of three painters and a part-time repairs guy. They worked approx. 0930 to 1700 each day. I kept track of their hours - 180+ hours of solid work for the job. There were usually three guys working - quietly, no cursing, no smoking, no blaring radio, no grab-assing. BTW, they usually worked in their stocking feet. Thanks for the great job, guys!

3 very efficient and personable women arrived at 8:30 with their own equipment. they each took an area of the house and went through a checklist. Only missed a few cobwebs on a 10' ceiling - I didn't expect her to. One lady returned the white tiled floor to almost new and another gal scoured a utility sink that was covered in dried on paint - looked great!

a team of three very professional ladies arrived with all of their own equipment at the time specified. They split up into teams and took different areas of the house using a checklist to make sure that every item was done before they moved onto another area. They worked from the ceilings down including fans, light fixtures and tops of cabinets and furniture. All glass paned interior doors and windows were cleaned and spot free. One woman cleaned a white tile bathroom floor in serious need of attention and made it look almost new. Another woman returned a utility sink in the laundry room to an acceptable condition as It was totally splattered with paint by the young man painting our house this summer. I was quite impressed. I did have to pay an extra $50 for the distance that they had to travel but I felt that it was worth it since no one in my area (Norwich New York) provides this service. I have already contracted with them for a spring cleaning. They were in and out, attended to their jobs, no unnecessary chitchat - just get the business done!

Contacted this company as we have done business with their "Brooms Over Broome" business. Estimate was provided same day that I asked them. Detailed as to what work would be provided. Very responsive to emails. Was able to complete the work the very next day. Everything looks great. No mess, no fuss, just fantastic service for a fantastic price.

I have used this company for almost a year now. Debbie, the owner, communicates regularly with me to make sure that all is going well and that the house is cleaned, sanitized and dust removed for my elderly parents who are both disabled and can't see or bend over easily to clean at all. Her team is very prompt, friendly, professional and they work non-stop each week. I'm very pleased with their work and appreciate their extra help when needed. Debbie works with me all she can to make this weekly service possible for my family and I appreciate her flexibility, empathy and care very much. I highly recommend this cleaning service.

My windows are difficult to pop out of the frame and equally difficult to pop back in, but they persevered and eventually got the hang of it. The job probably took longer than expected, but through all this the two women were friendly . They also did a good job washing the windows.

They were able to start work quickly, and once they started they finished in very good time. The results were great.

The whole process went very well. Great communication back and forth, had some weather delays but always kept in contact as to when things would get done. Good experience.

3 girls arrived on time with a jovial and happy manner. They worked together as a team. Had me check everything they did in case I wanted something or wanted something changed. They were professional and efficient.

They do a good job of cleaning in general. Your floors and countertops will be clean. The times I have asked that they paid more attention to one area or another, they always did. I believe a more thorough scrubbing comes at an additional cost.

Three? (3) people showed up with Swiffer products.? They dusted and had to ask them to take a few dirty/used dishes off living room side table as they were dusting around them. They Swiffted the perimeter of liv/din room and vacuumed middle of floors. Swiffered the kitchen floor. Asked them not to wash bathroom floor as new tile had recently been installed. Thirty minutes later and $62.40 gone, they left. Pricing $120/hour. After they left went into the bathroom and found they had not cleaned the toilet. Also did not empty trash in kitchen. When I called and left message, employee returned call (not owner). Employee said she would check with the person who had dusted the bathroom and told me they do not do trash removal. No apology. No call back. So at $120 and hour had my house dusted and a 12x12 kitchen floor washed. Not a good thing!

Interior home painting began January 5, 2015. The team was on the job each day by 9:30 a.m. Their work was clean and neat. The newly refinished hardwood floors were protected and not damaged during the painting project. I would highly recommend Brushes Over Broome for your interior painting needs!

First of 3 estimates. Company #1: Brushes over Broome Arrived mostly on time for estimate. Pleasant people. Cordially removed their shoes upon entering our home. Proceeded to measure all the rooms in the house. Asked for our email and said they would forward the estimate within 48 hours. Email of estimate was received within 48 hours. Second email received 2 minutes later stating they inadvertently omitted the price of the "sub contract" work and would promptly respond with correct estimate. All told about 45 minutes. All was well with us as we were waiting for the estimate.... Company #2 Jeff's Painting Arrived exactly on time 11/18/14. Polite and personal gentleman. Took a look around the house, asked what we needed done. Asked to sit at our kitchen table and figure the price. Gave us the estimate, said he can start in 2 days and it will be ready in 3 days. Thanksgiving was 10 days away. We wrote the check. Job done. Professionals.We left a tip. PS. Received a couple and phone calls from Brushes over Broome after the holiday, still no final estimate.

The team is very careful and thorough and clean the house weekly. They leave the house looking and smelling very clean. I have elderly parents who cannot bend down, or see, and who have asthma so I need a team who offer care, thoroughness and detailed service each week - particularly for dusting, sanitizing and mopping all surfaces. They follow a punch list and if anything is missed, they usually rectify the situation on their next visit. Debbie is kind and responsive. I recommend this company highly.

When these gals are done, the place is spotless! They know what products to use and they work as a team -- In and out in slightly over an hour. I look forward to having them in as they bring enthusiasm and cheerfulness with them. They go to town and don't cut corners.... Always ask if there is something special you would like done. Last month they even made Dad's bed. I can't recommend them highly enough. They are trustworthy and reliable. I have used some high priced franchise cleaning services in the past and I was much more satisfied with Brooms over Broome. No doubt you will be as pleased as I am with this hometown service.

The Thorough Cleaning took around four hours-the staff came and vacuumed, dusted, cleaned all bathrooms, bedrooms, living & dining room and kitchen. My house was in desperate need of a deep clean. I am very happy with the outcome. I was impressed with their checklist system, each time a room was completed, they signed the page and moved on. The staff is very friendly and hard-working. I highly recommend Brooms over Broome, for one time clean or on-going.

The house cleaning was free via prior agreement, windows we paid. We have cathedral windows in the living room and they had probably never been cleaned. They used a ladder and the windows look wonderful now. All windows are clean and streak-free and I suspect they were never cleaned before. The crew came as scheduled on time and they spent hours cleaning the stove (fantastic), even cleaned out the refrigerator, which I didn't expect, and dusted everything and cleaned all the floors. They cleaned and dusted everywhere, more than we expected. We have marble floors in one room which they cleaned with water, but we have since found a good marble cleaner for it. They did a very thorough job throughout the house as it was going to be put on the market so everything sparkled. Work was impeccable, although they missed one window in the living room - I'm not sure if it was overlooked or wasn't accessible. The house is off the market right now, but I will use them to clean again in the spring as well as final cleaning when we move out. In the meantime, we are maintaining.

Regarding my previous statements, I was mistaken about this service. They all work hard and do a very thorough service. They are very trustworthy.

I am an elderly widower, living alone with my cat for 7 years. I havedonr very little houscleaning during that time and my children decided to hie professionals. They hve done an excellent job, leaving the hose in a state comparble to the way it was when my wife was alive. I was impressed with the little things they did such as putting my desktop in order. They did a wonderful job in the kitchen and bathroom. In te latter, they cleaned rost stains that I had been unable to remove.

It went very well. The painters were friendly, professional, courteous and extremely neat. The garage looked like it was brand new. I highly recommend them and will be using them for any painting projects that we have in the future.

Brushes over Broome is a great company !! They arrived when they said they would, and the one time they had to finish up another job before coming to our's, they kept updating and communicating with us so we knew just when they would arrive. That communication is really appreciated as we are all busy and waiting for someone that doesn't show or communicate is bad. Brushes over Broome communicates with their customer very well. The condition of the wood and paint were really bad, needed painting a number of years ago. Brushes over Broome did the job in a timely, professional manner for the price they quoted. They took care of renting the 60' lift and were good operators of the lift, with out damage to our building or property in it's use. Brushes over Broome is made up of a number of workers so they handled the size of our job very quickly and professionally. If they had questions, or if we had concerns they handled both professionally and in a friendly way, AND did what we asked of them. We would definitely consider them in the future for other painting projects == they are a great company. Big enough to get the job done, yet small enough to care about the customer..
