I am very sorry but this is an A.L mistake. I have repeatedly requested to have them fix this. I do not do the city area and they don,t send the requests in a timely fsshion only reviews. I wish I could post a review of A.L I hope that you will reconsider changing your grade of me. An F is pretty harsh for something I can,t help. Description of Work: Moved our little old Knabe parlor grand (5 foot) piano from the church parish hall, where it had been on loan for over a decade as a choir practice instrument, less than three miles to the ground floor living room of our cottage. They disassembled the legs and padded everything to move it into their truck and reassemble on site. Such a joy to have a piano again.

Description of Work: Estimated the value of a second hand piano. With Steve's guidance I was better able negotiate with seller. Steve did a great job. He assessed the situation and went over in detail what was needed in a way that I would understand. He is very through and looks for the right way, rather than the fast way to do things. I have had several tuners in the past and have never been satisfied. Steve is wonderful and highly recommend him without reservations.
Description of Work: I had multiple issues on a Yamaha Baby Grand. Steve performed two tunings; permanantely fixed sticky keys by removing and realigning the front strip and adusted the regulators so the piano is much easier to play. He also moved my humidity monitoring light to make it easier for me to notice when water needs to be added.

Steve assessed the piano very carefully and explained the repairs that would be needed to bring it back to playing condition. The work was quite extensive and Steve took several parts with him to his shop for repair. In the end the piano needed several new strings as well as a bit of cabinetry repair. After two visits and a final tuning the piano sounds wonderful one again. Now my husband just needs to find the time to play it more often!
Description of Work: Steve Oliver repaired and tuned my husband's beloved Chickering Spinnet piano which had fallen into a bad state from several years of neglect.

Excellent piano tuning and repairs. I am a classically trained concert pianist. I've been using Steve to tune and maintain my piano for years. He always does a great job and keeps me informed of what needs attention on the piano both short- and long-term. Two years ago he replaced all the hammers in the piano and did a great job - it really needed it. A year ago, we added a humidity control system to keep the piano regulated during the different seasons. I bought a studio upright piano from Steve in June for a second home. It's perfect. He delivered it, set it up and tuned it. It's the perfect piano for the space. Earlier this summer I recommended Steve to a friend to refinish her piano. It came out beautiful. His refinishing is top-notch. Very trust-worthy and honest. Can't go wrong.
