didn't finish job to my satisfaction and then wanted even more money to finish it

Went very well. Shawn the carpenter was very nice. He was on time, worked straight thru the day, cleaned up after project was completed and most important he knew his craft. It was a pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend this company and use them again.

Everything went very smoothly. Robert is a pro, and he's also a terrific guy. He took care of all of my requests, and did so relatively quickly and smoothly. You get the feeling that there is little this guy can't do. I will undoubtedly turn to Handyman Connection and Robert Schwartz the next time I need such services.

Sean came, gave me estimate, told me what size stairs to buy then i called him and he came within 2 weeks to remove old stairs and replaced with new ones.

It went well. He took care of it and the problems were gone.

This was a very simple, straightforward project. Wooden handrails with balusters for two sets of steps, one with 3 steps, the other with 4 steps. This job involves general carpentry and some painting. Price quoted was almost 3X that of other vendors. I was told that concrete would need 1 - 2 days to dry, whereas others quoted using quick-set concrete (very little concrete to be used) and estimated one day to prepare wood pieces and one day for installation. I am very familiar with these types of projects but do not have the skills or tools to do myself. I have had this type of project performed in the past, it is really disappointing to receive a quotation that is clearly over-the-top excessive. I am guessing this might have been too small of a job to make it worth his while, so he increased the price thinking that he would only perform the job for an inflated amount. I described the project in detail and offered to send photos to the person who answered the phone (and schedules the handymen to go for quotations), so if this were not within their scope of work, wish they would have saved my time.

Having said this, I want to say that they also havve provided a wonderful handyman for us in 2011. WE hired them in 2011 for extensive wall repairs and painting. The job was done with great attention to detail; i.e. ceiling fan was removed and wall switch plates removed before painting. The handyman was wonderful to work with and the room still looks wonderful 3 years later!

I was about to explain what work needed to be done and he interrupted and stated that he had no one that works in my area. I told him that I am looking at his Angie's List profile and it stated that he was available in her area. I asked when he might and he chuckled and said that he didn't have anyone available in my area. I started to push a little more and that is when he got agitated and snapped back I do not have anyone in your area. I said thank you and hung up the phone.

I was very pleased with the skill level as well as the professionalism of Norman, the handyman assigned by Handyman Connection.

Everything went well, I have now used Handyman Connection three times. They are really just an aggregator contractors. Even though both the contractor and Handyman have to make a profit the prices are good and the quality of three different contractors has been fine.

I contacted Handyman Connection on a Friday for this job. We heard back on Wednesday afternoon with a quote, and that we could get the work done in the next 20 minutes if that was OK. I'm thrilled with the work that was done. We were shown each step, so we could do the work ourselves next time. The price was good, and there was no mess to clean up afterwards.

Work was done carefully and well. I am extremely satisfied with the results. The only suggestion I have is that the customer should be told in advance that cash for materials is required. I had to go to the bank while the work was being completed to get the cash to cover the supplies.

For the most part, things went okay. The company responded to my initial inquiry very promptly (same day) and within 24 hours I had an estimate. I was not entirely comfortable with the man who came for the estimate - it seemed he was not listening to me, and kept asking if he needed to remove the toilet even though I made it clear it was not part of the job. The price was a little high, but I had waited a long time to get this job done and decided to just do it. Plus there was an Angie's member coupon. The day of the job, they arrived promptly and started the tear down, then the install. There was a small issue with sink pipes that they resolved, which was very nice. The vanity/sink looked very nice, as did the lighting fixture. However, the small (24") medicine cabinet was off slightly so the doors looked not level at first (I fixed that myself), and they did not hang the small mirror well at all - there are two different holes in my wall now and it looks very unprofessional. Thankfully this is also something I can redo myself. When it came time to pay the bill, the man who gave me the estimate seemed to not know how much I needed to pay, which was extremely uncomfortable. I finally took control of the situation, and wrote out exactly what each thing cost. Then I produced the coupon which seemed to really be a big deal - but these are coupons, correct? Why are they always such a big deal? I will not use this company again because of their unprofessional work and the deal with the bill.

They were great. Good, easy scheduling, punctual, prompt. All good.

I find them to be criminals. It was a terrible experience actually. We signed an agreement for them to give me three handymen to do number of different things in my house and then for the first day three guys showed up and the agreement that they made me sign was for a certain amount but it was supposed to be for three guys and then the next week only one guy shows up and they wanted the same amount and I said that is not fair. They were going to charge me like 70% of the originally agreed amount like no I was supposed to hire three guys you know I am going prorate this based on what we agreed on and so there was this huge dispute like I am going to sue you. I would love show those to a judge so you are welcome to sue me and I will see you in court. Once I realized the amount that he was trying to charge me for so long I canceled the check and I said you know do your math again because this cannot be right. It was one guy instead of three and then the guy said no this amount is right so I sent him a check based on the amount we agreed divided by three so prorated as we had done. I said either accept this as payment or we will see you in court. He had that has payment. I would have done more work with them as the number of guys they were supposed to send and had done good work. I was trying to wrap up the renovation for March moving in and they were not sending in the number of guys to get it done.

I received excellent service. The repairs were completed in a timely and professional manner. I would call them again if I needed additional repairs and I will recommend them to others.

Provider was over an hour late and did not call. Was dropped off so had very limited tools and supplies. Because provider did not have own vehicle, job extended over two days instead of one, yet demanded payment in advance of work completion. Promised to return to fix part of job that was not done properly and has not done so. I left detailed feedback with Handyman Connection, and never heard a thing from them. Would not use again and cannot recommend.

I won't give him a high grade on professionalism. He might be very competent though. My bathtub is really old, from the 1940's, and he wouldn't take off his shoes before he got in there. I didn't want it scratched. I didn't choose to use his company.

James was on time and did a nice job. Pricing was fair. He is pleasant and honest. Wholly recommended.

Steve and Darryl toured the interior and exterior of our 1904 6100 sq ft home following a lengthy list of repairs provided by my stager. They prepared a detailed excel chart of the work along with a schedule of payments to be made as the work progressed. Darrel began the interior work at the end of Jan and completed it at the beginning of March. Along with a break in the dreadful weather of Winter 2014 Darrel moved outside to work through the exterior repairs. The work was finally completed by the end of April and the house looked fantastic! We quickly went on the market and our house drew a lot of interest and within 16 days we had a signed contract of sale. There is not doubt that the pristine presentation of our property contributed to the market's interest. This was unquestionably a large project but neither Steve nor Darryl were fazed by that nor by a few construction challenges that arose along the way for which they found creative and effective solutions. Throughout both Steve and Darryl were professional and polite, Steve even came by after hours to repair a couple of things just before our engineering inspection on the house. We are now hunting for our new house in CT and will use Handyman Connection again as needed.

The service was excellent; There was a quick response to my request for a handyman. The gentleman who provided the service was puntual, professional and knowledgeble.

The guy who came seemed to be very knowledgeable about everything. I thought they were a little pricey.

They were very good. I've recommend them. I've used them before. I like them very much. They come on time. They give you an estimate beforehand. I even had a railing put on my basement from them and that was years ago. I'm very happy with them.
