Went well. Crew were courteous and thorough.

Carrera is the exact model of a company not to do business with. Unreliable on keeping agreed upon timeframe (first sign of unprofessionalism), their work leaves you wanting, very much about putting lipstick on a pig rather than doing a quality job. Oh and here’s the kicker….they drink on the job! One of their guys drinking a tall boy of beer on my lawn before working a saw. Enough said I believe.

Really excellent work. Paved driveway, cleaned up and leveled parking area before putting gravel down. Dug new drain for water runoff and repaired and cemented pavers that line driveway. Lots of little details including sunken electric and cable lines that they had to deal with and nailed all of it. On top of that Julio is the nicest guy! 10 stars.

Although they performed at times well, they didn’t follow the plans and then tried arguing that they were responsible and it would be extra work. Would only advise working with them if you monitored them every second and explicitly wrote out everything that needs to be done.

Julio came back promptly and was very detailed and professional.

We are very pleased with the service they performed. Staff were friendly very professional. All supplies were available when needed. Organized from beginning to end. Clean up was also well managed.

The project was completed and I am completely satisfied with the outcome. Julio was a pleasure to work with and his employees were very professional. I will recommend Carrea Paving and Masonry highly to all.

Carrea did not call Con Edison to get a dig code. so on the first day of the project they cut the line bringing power to our house. Julio then blamed me saying i never mentioned having power lines under our driveway. I have no way of knowing that because I've lived here for 2 years and the driveway being replaced is older than I am. Hence, I recommended he get a dig code. Anyways, we were away on vacation so the home sat in the dark for 4 days until we returned. Carrea refused to reimburse us for the cost of all the spoiled food. we even had to argue to get them to pay the $100 toward the fios line that was also severed. As for the work itself, the driveway is beautiful but man what a headache. total lack of any common sense on this job. IF YOU NEED TO HIRE THEM MAKE SURE THEY DO THEIR DUE DILIGENCE BEFORE THEY BEGIN ON YOUR PROPERTY.

They did a great job. Julio and the team were absolute great and very professional.

Terrible, did not end up using them. They were extremely unreliable and unresponsive. Would say there were coming and would not show up. This occurred multiple times.

It didn't. I had to call them four or five times and no one ever showed up, although they say said they would.

Crew was punctual. Arrived when they said they would at 8:00. Worked all day and were finished by end of day.

They were very quick and responsive. They stuck to the proposed estimate completely and did a very beautiful job. Any small issues were handled completely perfectly. I would recommend them highly to anyone with a large job. My neighbors had a similar driveway done with a different contractor and it took triple the amount of time and almost double the amount of money.

I made an appointment with Julio for an estimate. He arrived exactly on time. Not a minute late. Not a minute early. When I accepted his estimate, we agreed on a date to do the job. Julio and his crew arrived on time. They worked non-stop until the job was done. I thought it would take them all day. It was done (and looked great!) in the early afternoon.

Julio and his team were professional from start to finish with our driveway. They were patient with us with questions and came out several times to go over the details with us. They completed the huge job in less than 3 days and now we have a lovely driveway. Would highly recommend them.

Excellent job, the whole crew was very courteous. Started the job in afternoon to rip up old blacktop and completed with new blacktop in half of another day. Extremely pleased, with the speed and quality of the job done. In addition the price was certainly fair.

Jim Carrea was very responsive and professional. He was the one that recommended widening the driveway, which I am glad I took him up on. He was able to start the job quickly. The wall and driveway look great. I will definitely use them again in the future. He also gave a competitive price for the work.

Carrea and Sons was excellent. They were very professional. I wanted something that was different than the usual. They listened to how i envisioned the finished project and met my vision. They built it with specifications that agreed with the "how to" sites on the internet. They cleaned up nicely. The crew was very pleasant. I have already gotten compliments from neighbors. And I am happy that I consulted Angie's List for a referral.

Carrea & Sons did a great job. I've been having water drainage problems for years due to incline of driveway and the way my property is configured. Water would pool and run into my garage and flood all my belongings. I had gotten a number of estimates and ways to solve the water problems. Carrea & Sons were responsive had the best price and best of all solved my drainage issues. They showed up when they said, the crew was courteous although did leave a bit of a mess where they ate their lunch in the back yard. Overall they did a great job my driveway looks great and I would use them again

While the work completed far exceeded our expectations the low marks are for the blatant disregard of his workers for our property. Having never done this before, we were unaware of the scope of the project. Had we been told, we would have tied back branches along the driveway and moved an irreplaceable flower pot imported from Italy. They broke many branches from the trees and just shoved them back into the bushes. Broke the pot and threw it under a tree. Pulled out a new arborvitae and just left it laying on its side. Completely unacceptable.

All went well. Arrived on time with a very large crew and lots of equipment to complete the job in 1 day. Previous reveiws were very accurate. Hard to get a hold of Jim, but once he is on-site, he and his team work hard to get the job done to my satisfaction in one day

Mr Carrea and his men were very polite, professional and punctual. Mr Carrea is a man of integrity. He arrived when he said he would and they were efficient and tidy. He honored the coupon that he had offered on Angie's List. I would not hesitate to use Carrea & Sons again and would enthusiastically recommend them as highly to my friends and neighbors as to those people on Angie's List.
