After getting bids from four (4) other contractors, AE was selected strictly due to their AL reviews and familiarity with local town codes. AE was given a 50% deposit 5/29/18. From there, the communications ended. Customer needed to make all further inquiries as to start date, AE never provided status independently. Customer contacted AE 6/14/18 (two weeks after taking deposit) to be informed that work would not commence until 6/21/18 due to remediation on another project. So, AE had customers' $2500 deposit for four weeks prior to project start date. AE also advertises a $50 referral award to customers' who refer a friend or neighbor. Customer referred a neighbor, who contracted with AE for oil tank removal and replacement. AE did not proactively pay out the referral award. Customer had to again contact AE and engage the neighbor to document that the work had in fact been contracted and performed. The issue is not the $50. The issue is AE did not work in good faith vis-a-vis the terms for their own business process. The job was completed as contracted but be prepared to stay in constant contact with AE once they have the deposit to be kept apprised.

The crew did a great job getting the tank emptied and out of my basement. A.E. also handled filing the necessary permits for removing the tank.

Finding out that our oil tank was leaking was stressful, particularly as it occurred in the midst of negotiating the sale of our home. These guys did a terrific job of talking me through the process in advance and explaining the various potential outcomes we might expect depending on the extent of the leak -- including the likelihood of each, and the cost. The process went precisely as described. The leak was minimal, lucky for us. The price and the timing were exactly as predicted. The guys on site did a great job. We had anticipated significant damage to our landscaping (bushes, trees, pavers, sprinkler system) but there was none. Getting the paperwork form the town and state also went as described. They took care of the problem very professionally and helpful in alleviating the anxiety associated with an uncertain and potentially disastrous situation. I was grateful for their help.

These guys are exceptional. They removed my underground oil tank and cleaned up the contamination. Extremely flexible, top notch quality, efficient, great communication, and reasonable pricing (they were the least expensive reputable company that I found by several hundred dollars, including Northeast Environmental). The estimate I received was almost exactly what the actual bill came to. Stu and Zack in particular are great to deal with.

I had 1000 gallons oil tank in front yard. Previous owner claimed wasn't there, go figure. :( I contacted 3 certified companies in Westchester/NY area. I picked AE, and i didn't make a mistake. Very professional and courteous crew. They cleaned the site very nice after all was over, I can hardly tell where the tank was buried. Highly recommended.

On the appointed day, Zack and Rob showed up on time and installed the new tank like they could do it blindfolded. Then they carefully removed paving stones and dug a hole above the old tank, avoiding damage to nearby shrubs. Inspection revealed no leakage so they quickly ordered the K-crete, filled the tank, and were done by 4 pm. If there had been a leak Zack felt that he could have removed the tank without cutting the driveway but a couple of shrubs would have been lost. Fortunately, that was not necessary. A great job, start to finish.

Very professionally done, and I was glad there was no leakage! I came home one day and the job was finished. (Though I wish they had told me which day they were going to do the work, I would have liked to watch.)

After not finding any oil tank replacement companies on Angie's List, I had to go the yellow pages and a friend's recommendation. Advanced Environmental was recommended, and they were the only company who spent time interviewing me about my situation on the phone, and said they couldn't give a real estimate without looking over the situation. The other companies seemed to be annoyed by my inquiry! Three days later, a rep came and spent 20 minutes educating me and sizing up the situation - a very pleasant experience. As soon as we had the funds I called, and was surprised to have an appointment only a week later. They arrived slightly early, which suited me fine. The job took 5 hours which to me means it was done with care. They answered my questions, were very personable and cleaned-up after themselves. The job looks great, is installed properly (as opposed to our previous tank which was jammed against a wall) and makes us feel better that we won't have any leakage issues. The friend who recommended them had an in-ground tank replaced, and was very impressed by their ability to find the tank right away, disturb the landscaping as little as possible and save her plants.
