I called on Friday 4/24/2015 make an appointment for the plumbing service. The girls on the phone done her job, took my info, the nature of the service that I seek and give me an rough idea how the cost going to be per hour. I told her job scope is to replace existing and leaking kitchen faucet with the faucet that my wife brought, and Install a under the counter reverse osmosis water filtration system that my wife also brought. She repeat and I assume she also wrote exactly what she said. replace existing faucet with customer's own faucet and install customer's own water filtration system. She then proceed to set the schedule for me, She told me the next available time slot is the following wed. between 8:30am and 12:30pm. The service guy will call before he is on his way, if I miss the call he might goto his next job. fairly standard stuff for service type provider. I agree and comes wed 4/29/2015. On the day of appointment, I call their office around 9AM because I didn't get any phone call. Again the girl on the phone done her job, She explain they might book multiple job in the 4 hr windows in case the customer cancel or not able to uphold their appointments. that why there is a 4hr per appointment slot. She then promise me that she will call me back after she contact the service guy and she did after about 5 min to assure me that service guy is coming. So I wait and wait... 12:20pm ... the guy show up 10 min before the promised appointment slot expires. I wasn't too happy but I give him credit to "be with in the 4 hr time slot" ... technically he is on time. so I show him the faucet and the sink to be install in... he said ok no problem. I then bring out the reverse osmosis system. For your info, under my sink there is a garbage disposer and the reverse osmosis system need large amount of space for the filter and reserve tank. The first thing comes out of his mouth is.. "oh I don't think that will fit" ... I was like really? even with the garbage disposer there are plenty of room under my sink. ok lets try take out the largest item of the osmosis system and see if it fits. Sure enough, PLENTY OF SPACE. I can even put all the filters in with the tank and its not even taking up half of the available space under my sink. He then process to look at the installation menu, "oh this is a complicate system, I need another guy to help me"... er.. ok... IF ITS EASY I WONT CALL FOR A PROFESSIONAL, so I told him, fine call your guy to help you. "oh, not today, we need to come back another day". fine, your guys are busy, when will that be? tomorrow? "oh might have to be next week" By now I am start to getting really annoyed. FIRST of all you guys wasted 4 hours of my life waiting for you, now you giving me excuses? I told him, you are here can you at least try to do this? He went on and on how its a complicated job and it will take too long if he do it by himself and he have another appointment. REALLY? how you able keep appointment or not, its your problem, I hire you for a job and this is how you blow me off? He then promise to talk to the boss and setup another appointment, ask me to allow him to take the installation menu to study and promise to bring it back.... FINE... one last chance for you, can you please just install the faucet and come back next time to install the filter system, "oh I don't want to disconnect anything now... you know, lets do this all together when we come back" NOW ITS 5/1/2015... 2:30PM... WAY OVER 48 HOURS AND NOT A SINGLE CALL from anyone... I think I earn the right to give them the lowest review possible. h***... if there is a Z I will give them a Z. even though the service isn't performed nor there are any money transaction. I don't feel they treat me right as a customer and total waste of my time ( on top of that , I have to take a day off from work ) Cornetta Brothers You earn this negative review and I hope this review reach out to anyone who consider using their service to RUN AWAY. PS if anyone from Cornetta brothers is reading this, don't even try to contact me to amend this... don't bother ok?

Joe is responsive and a pleasure. He always goes the extra mile and stands by his work. If only all contractors could be like him and his team - a joy to work with and complete trust in his advice. Great!

They are professional, thorough, prompt and affordable. They have provided helpful tips such as changing to single-ply toilet paper to avoid plumbing issues. They will also delay billing and clean up well after themselves.

When they didn't show up, we called and they had no idea who we were. Nevertheless, they apologized and made another appointment for the estimate. We had a conversation about what we wanted done (replace old toilet with new water-efficient model, and replace a wall-hung sink), were told it wouldn't be a problem at all. We weren't given an estimate as he was unsure of the prices, but he said he'd get back to us. When we didn't hear back from them, we called, and, again, they had no idea who we were and what we were calling about. We had to go so far as to describe the man who came to the house. They then had to call us back after tracking him down, but still didn't give us any real estimate. They spoke in very general terms, and when we pressed about exactly what brand toilet and sink they planned to put in and the price, their answer was that it would be whatever their supplier happened to have on hand, and that they didn't think we'd be so cheap about the job. Quite insulting and totally unprofessional--several times--and left us wondering how they got all of those glowing reviews after the way we were treated. It was like an episode out of the Twilight Zone!

Stopped by to give me an estimate on a gas heating system --I now have an oil heating system -- This man did not want to be bothered answering any questions -- only wanted to give you the gas system that was illegible for a rebate. Said he would send me an estimate -- which he said would be upward from 8000.00 usd -- I thought this was a little high since I currently have gas in my house but -- He never bothered to send me an estimate or contact me.

Cornetta Bros. was extremely professional, did a great job from consultation to completion. Would not hesitate to use again in the future for any plumbing related issues/concerns.

They were not the cheapest but they were very good. They were worth the money. They were professional and punctual. They were neat and they cleaned up after themselves. This was my first experience with a provider found through Angie's list, and it was very pleasant start to finish; everybody I dealt with at Cornetta Brothers was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. When I described my problems over the phone to Christine, she advised that she would make an appointment with Big Joe, a faucet expert. (There's another Joe who is one of the owners and, I presume, much smaller.) Big Joe arrived right on time, repaired the bathtub faucets in short order and then moved on to the sink. He advised that the existing faucet was repairable with new cartridges, and that it would not be necessary to install the new faucet that I had purchased just-in-case unless I chose to. Big Joe said to call if there were any further problems. A few days later, I found that the sink faucet was still dripping and called Cornetta Brothers again. They contacted Big Joe in the field and he was able to fit us into his schedule that afternoon. He determined that one of the cartridges that he had used was faulty, and replaced it. Big Joe and I also saw signs of leakage under, the sink, but couldn't locate the source. After a few days, when the leak under the sink hadn't stopped, I contacted Cornetta Brothers again. Josephine contacted Big Joe and called me back to advise that we would probably need a new faucet – I had already returned to Home Depot – after all, and to let him know when I had it in hand. With nothing to lose, I felt around under the sink, turned off the water in the house, undid a nut under the sink, wrapped the threads with teflon tape – us 82-year olds accumulate a lot of tools and materials over the years! – and eliminated the leak. Shortly thereafter, Big Joe called to find out where we stood; he was genuinely pleased that I had solved the problem. The point is this: The people at Cornetta Brothers, and Big Joe in particular, were genuinely concerned about my problem and eager to help solve it. They were nice to deal with, and Big Joe was a pleasure to have in our house. Their response was speedy. Their price was fair. Nobody tried to sell me additional services or to inflate my bill. Big Joe knows his stuff. I can't fault him or Cornetta Brothers for the faulty replacement cartridges; those things happen.. I heartily recommend this company, the first I found through Angie's List, to any and all in the area in need of plumbing services. needed a new faucet in the bathroom/I had purchased a new one at home depot. Of course when it was installed typical of home depot product it was defective. I bought a new one from Corenetta. Higher priced but it worked. so in fairness I had to pay double for the two installations. Home depot did not care

Steve showed up within about 15 minutes of my initial phone call. He diagnosed the issue, and got to work immediately. A half hour later, the job was done. He was personable and professional. A pleasure to do business with.

He is excellent. He is nice, courteous, came on time, and kept me informed. He gives free estimates but no discounts. His secretary, Anna,is very nasty, argumentative, and abrupt. Speak to Christine, she is very nice.

We had a very old, long piece of copper pipe in the basement that had oxidized and was leaking, and a similar problem with the sink in our upstairs bathroom. We have done business with Cornetta Brothers Plumbing for several years now (they were very highly recommended by a friend), and they did their usual terrific job. We were given an appointment very quickly, the service person showed up promptly and did a great job (both on the repair and then cleaning up afterward), and the price was, as always, extremely reasonable. We've been thrilled with Cornetta Brothers in that they respond immediately, do excellent work, are just about the nicest people you could ask to work with, and are extremely fair and honest in their pricing. We were very lucky to hear about them and have recommended them to many friends and co-workers.

When the power came on after Hurricane Sandy, our existing, old oil burner began leaking, and we were informed by the service rep that it was on it's last legs. While it still was operational, it did not appear that it would last the winter. We decided that since we had to invest in a new furnace we would use opportunity to convert to gas heat. We received two strong personal recommendations for plumbers who had done conversions for friends, however given the post-storm situation these plumbers were too busy to even come look at our job - understandably so. We were also reluctant to force the issue and try to replace a working (albeit failing) boiler when so many others were more desperate. However we also did not want to get stuck in the winter when our existing boiler finally failed. We sent an email to Cornetta Brothers based on the outstanding Angie's List ratings, and we could not have been more pleased. Joe Cornetta who was also up to his eyeballs in post Sandy work, replied promptly and scheduled an appointment. He was courteous and thorough. He explained the conversion process in detail, beginning to end, recommended that we hold off as long as possible while putting a new furnace on order. Their quote was in line with other bids we received and we selected Cornetta Bros. for the job. The office staff at Cornetta Brothers was very responsive and knowledgeable, and helped us navigate the equipment order and rebate programs. They always either answered or promptly returned our calls throughout the process. Ultimately we waited until mid March to do the conversion, and Joe and his team did everything they said they would, and then some. Chimney liner installed, emptied and removed the existing oil tank, removed the old boiler, bled the lines, changed several old valves on our convectors, installed and tested the new system and thermostat, coordinated the town inspection, and did it all neatly, professionally and in a timely fashion. Overall we would (and already have) strongly recommended Cornetta Brothers to our friends. Thank you Joe and staff!

PLUMBERS Estimates/plumbing work was spot on. Plumbers are very knowledgeable and didn't sugar coat the situation when I spoke to them on the phone. INVOICING It took over 5 weeks for two invoices to be generated. Only until I mentioned that I needed additional extensive plumbing work on the entire plumbing chase and would love to use Cornetta, because they are family owned and local, but their turnaround time was unreliable. Only the owners of the company finalize the the invoices and the receptionists always sounded confused when attempting to locate my invoices. However they always sound busy, and I was told they were in the middle of a computer system upgrade. WHAT I LOVE Family owned. Longevity of business Knowledgeable plumbers The ability to pay online I hope the system upgrade works!
