They took almost a month to call us back to finish their work. They did a good job but you would need to make sure you understand their scheduling. They sub contract any other jobs if not roofing. very unhappy with responsiveness.

The replacement was fine. They need to improve their responsiveness.

Everything went great once they started the project. They missed the starting date by about a week but completed the project on time.

never built one of these things before I found this company for my mother who needed repairs to her home and property after 6 feet of snow did serious damage to her property. Todd Huber, owner/president of this company is not prompt at all. Is always late and when I or my mother call the office, we are told, "I will try to find him for you." We are placed on hold and then when they pick back up, we are told, "he said he is already on his way over to your place and he will be there in about 20 minutes." His office is less than 20 minutes from my house. I also saw this first hand when I was in his office. Someone called and said he was supposed to be at their house over an hour ago, Mr. Huber's employee said the "EXACT" same thing he said to me when I called to see where he was..."I will try to find him for you." and "he said he is already on his way over to your place and he will be there in about 20 minutes." The issue I have with that is that Mr. Huber was standing right in front of this employee's desk listening to the whole thing. I was standing 5 feet from Mr. Huber! It appears Mr. Huber did do a good job on the roof and gutters. The shed on the other hand is at 4 1/2 months and counting. This is an aluminum shed. No big deal. Mr. Huber explained that he was going to ask for a price higher than the cost so as to make some money on the shed. The cost of the shed was in the $380 area. The charge for the shed alone was $800? Any time I called to get the shed installed we were told 2 weeks over and over and over with no shows or phone calls repeatedly. The quote was from the end of March and he never even purchased the shed until Mid June. In the meantime we were completely ignored. I live on the west coast and had to make calls for my mom as she was feeling like he was just dismissing her because she is a slight female whom he could just ignore without repercussions. Mr. Huber was good at apologizing and repeatedly asked me why I though he was playing games. I would have to explain that, "in two weeks" many times over the past 4 months without follow through felt like a game to both of us. We are at 4 months and not complete even though Todd had already taken the entire insurance check and marked my paperwork paid in full? When the shed was initially installed, is was unbelievable how poorly it was constructed. A month later when he had to send someone out to take it down and rebuild it my mother could hear his 2 employees through the open window commenting on how they could not believe how bad it was done the first time. On the second build of the shed there are holes in the roof that they just put caulking in that leaks and the rain comes in around the whole base of the shed and can not be used yet because of this. Lastly, Mr. Huber never asked and thought he did me a huge favor when he purchased a shed that is 2 feet longer from front to back and now I can not fit my riding lawn mower through that side of the yard. It was a 10 x 10 and it is now a 10' x 12'.? Any time I try to explain my issues with him he can't remember it was ever an issue. In the process of repairing the gutters and roof this company ran over a light in the front yard and it took 3 months to get this replaced because every time we brought it up he could not remember this being broken by his people. While I was there Mr. Huber said he was going right out to fix this light and would be right back. 30 minutes after he left I went back to his office to see if he was there and he was sitting at his desk. This was the same day I witnessed his employee trying to find him while he was right in front of his desk (mentioned above, already late for another appointment). My personal opinion is that Mr. Huber is full of himself and too busy to concern himself with anybody's concerns regarding his work or professionalism. He shows up whenever he wants with no concern for your time or you plans for your day! When it comes to Building Solutions in Elma, NY it appears it is all about them and NEVER about you the consumer. I would not use him again.

BUILDING SOLUTIONS DID A WONDERFUL JOB.

Went above and beyond to keep the job going! I feel that he really went above what most builders would do. He went all the way to Rochester to pick up materials so the job wouldn't be delayed. Aaron Huber did the powerwashing on the stone base of the house, and he was excellent! Did an excellent job, and we were very pleased.

Roof went well, 10 day delay on gutters, would not paint wood that he placed on 3rd floor, left a mess of old wood shingles and dust. Left the lawn a mess-left wheel marks, lawn torn up.

Good news: they used good quality materials throughout. 30 year shingles by GAF/ELF, 6 feet of ice/water guard, 15# paper. The job was done in 2 days. Not so good news: when they stripped the roof, they did not lay down tarps all around the house, especially near the shrubs at the front of the house. One 10 foot long tarp was placed on the ground at the rear of the house. The old roofing material was thrown down on top of shrubs, solar lights, lawn and so on. They promised to install gutter guard on all gutters. They did not do the upper level. They promised to paint all vents and stacks to match shingles but missed a few. Overall, I'm satisfied with the quality of the material installed. They should have taken more care during installation and with the small details. There is a 5 year guarantee, should a shingle blow off. I hope they are responsive if I need them to do a repair.

Representative arrived on time, looked at what I needed, performed measurements. He then asked if I had some time and he would walk me through the estimate. Price was good. This was my 5th estimate so I had an idea of what I wanted to spend. The estimate was better than I had hoped and since I couldn't find anything negative about the company, I signed. Job was started a couple of days later and finished a day later than expected due to weather. Clean up was pretty good as well.

Building Solutions was recommend to me by a family member. I don't regret hiring them, either. They did a wonderful job. The roof looks great, and the crew was very polite.
