The present provider does not answer their telephone. We made many phone calls over a period of several weeks. All that was obtained was a voice mail and a promise for a call back that never happened. We used Dietrick's cabinets in our 1994 and 2005 remodeling needs. They were excellent in what they did and when the current need arose, we decided to contact them for an estimate. After repeated phone calls, decided to look elsewhere for a cabinet maker. Since that time, our project has been put on hold until 2014-2015 time-frame while we address more pressing remodeling needs.
Description of Work: Contact provider for estimates for a simple downstairs bath vanity cabinet. Provider never responded to our phone calls.

Adam Dietrick is a master craftsman. The cabinets he made for us are beautiful. They are all wood--no pressboard-and were expertly installed. Adam offered suggestions to help improve the space and workflow in our kitchen--which worked out great. His recommendations for a drywall man and for flooring were outstanding. He responded to all of our last minute "fixes" fantastically. His "helpers" were very good at their job and they cleaned up each day they were here. Pricing for the job was much better than Lowe's and the quality of the products was far superior. My only complaint was the inconsistency of their work hours/days and lack of communication. They might show up at noon and leave at 3p. Sometimes no one showed at all. Adam called a lot of the time to let us know what was going on and when they would be coming. Sometimes they would be here and sometimes not. I know these projects always are longer than "estimated" but ours could have been done a week sooner if someone was here regularly. The job took about weeks--from removing everything to the last payment made. I would definitely recommend Dietrick's Custom Cabinets with the understanding the work schedule may be inconsistent.
Description of Work: Kitchen remodeling--cabinets, tiling, countertop.

Mr. Dietrick came out to my house and measured the area for the new cabinet. He took several measurements and measured the doors and drawers of the existing cabinets. He said he could come very to close design and color. He also said he would use good wood and nothing cheap. It should take 3 to 4 weeks to complete. Size 231/2" deep, 24" long and 337/8" high. After five weeks I called to see what was happening and he said it was almost finished and would be completed in one week. Two weeks later he called and said it was finished but he needed a door from the other cabinets to match the color. Another week or two later he called to install the cabinet. After Mr. Dietrick and his helper put the cabinet in he told me he measured it wrong and it was sticking out about 1/2" to 3/4". His suggestion was to cut some of the sheet rock to inset the cabinet. They actually removed the entire section and then the fit was good. I noticed that the drawer front and door for the lower cabinet were made of plywood and it looked cheap. His response was that it was the only wood he could use and my other cabinets were the same wood, but I disagree. The other doors look solid. The final color match is not a match, is much lighter and the wood grain looks like cheap plywood grain. He said that in time the color will darken. There is also a 12" long by 1/8" wide line going down the middle of the door. When asked about it he said, oh that's in the wood, but did not offer any further explanation or apology for it. It wasn't until the next day that I realized that the hinges on the door were not installed correctly causing the door to extend away from the cabinet by 1/4". The final issue is that the door was hung crooked. I called Mr. Dietrick today 4/3/09 and told him about the hinges and the crooked door and he said he would come out next week to make adjustments. The hinges have to be reset into the door and corrected but not just adjusted.
Description of Work: Make a kitchen cabinet to match the existing cabinets to go in the place of an old dishwasher.
