OVERPRICED SERVICE, taking benefit of a customer's (neighbor's) emergency in Eastchester. Replacement of broken-down water heater was quoted with $4,500, of which ~50% material and 50% labor. Was told at the quotation the labor cost (>$2k) was so high because it would take multiple people 3-4 hours or more, according to Wilbert Miranda, the AMHAC Eastchester sales rep, who inspected the site prior to the quote. It ended up taking two mechanics less than 1.5h (they did a good job! - hence the two stars) - and these guys said due to layout of the site it was an easy job, should not take more time and even they wondered why someone would charge that much labor cost, even in an emergency. Therefore, not more than two stars, especially due to the vast overstatement by Wilbert of the time needed for this job, which made the price the Wilbert quoted (and I agreed to due to lack of alternatives at that time) that expensive but sounded reasonable (at the time). NEVER AGAIN! BE CAREFUL!

We called amhac to convert our oil to gas system. We have an office attached to the house that originally had its own gas line and gas meter connected to the furness for the office space. The heat bill with Coned was always separate from the main house and we had the bills to prove this to the manager, Natalie, and they denied this. I had originally mentioned to Mr.Pat when he visited the property that we will be renting out the office again in the future. I even send them an email saying that the meter should be separate for the office, because that space will be rented and originally their was 3 meters, he lied and said that its too late because ConEdison didnt give them more than 2 meters, instead of 3. I spoke with Con edison and they said that we follow the design provided to us from amhac. We did have bumps in the process with regards to going from oil to gas and had to live one month without any gas because they failed to send over the appropriate documents to Coned on time for them to come do the inspection and it turns out amhac was sending/emailing the necessary documents to the incorrect department at Coned. I am very disappointed in the service provided by Pat on behalf of the company, and his demeanour with regards to not doing the right thing to begin with and then coming back to my place after calling them and saying you guys made a mistake instead he gave me an estimate for fixing what should have been done or corrected originally. I have also left two voicemails and called many times for the manager, Natalie, and have not received a call back yet. Even though some time has passed since the work was done, I am still paying the consequences to this mistake as we have a tenant and cant separate the gas costs as it falls under one meter. So we really never know who used what amount of gas each month. I have been asked by friends looking for a company for heating services, and I made a point to let them know how unprofessional and dishonest this company is and how they don’t care about customer satisfaction.

I called AMHAC late in the afternoon the day before Thanksgiving. The technician arrived early Friday, checked out the whole system and had it working in short order. AMHAC is a class operation --- from the call to Lauren to the highly skilled technician Santiago. These are people who CARE !!

the Central air conditioning stopped working and AMHAC was contacted and sent two repairman. The repair man performed some tests and stated there is possibly a leak in the line. He stated that he would inject some filler in the line and solve the problem. He never of the cost of the service. They present a bill for $780 for that service! The air-conditioning worked for less than 10 hours and stopped working once again. We called them back and they were turned on Monday 7/1. The same technician came and stated that he now found a large hole in the attic line oozing Freon. He insisted that that hole was not there beforeand that it must've been over the weekend that the line was punctured. That is impossible ! They just missed it the first time due to lack of interest or negligence. I advised him that they need to fix it because they missed it the first time. He performed some other test and then presented with another bill for $560 , and the system is still not repaired. He advised that they would have to come back for additional repairs. At this point we are almost $1300 into these stated repairs and the system is not working. We contacted the manager who is insisting that the the line was punctured after the initial visit. Now they're refusing to come back and fix the problem without charging us additional exorbitant amounts. I feel this company prays on elderly people, especially those that are mentally capacitated. They are predators. At no point during any of those two visits were the charges clearly stated what they were going to be prior to being performed. This company needs to be stopped and they need to stop preying on elderly or uninformed consumers.

Outstanding install. Technicians were not only professional, knew their business, but were courteous and timely. Job site was left clean. Job was completed, i.e. removed existing system and installed new system without any mess or disruption. People and Company one can count on. I have engaged AMHAC over many years and they have never let me down. I highly recommend them for both installs and service.

Worst service company I have ever worked with in over 25 years of home ownership. They are chronically late for appointments or they don't show up after you've been waiting around for hours and do not have the courtesy to call. Most recently they twice order the wrong pressure gauge for our furnace and both the technicians that came and manager acted like it was no big deal. They are unprofessional and have poor customer service. We are never using them again and highly recommend you don't either.

It took them three visits $1000 charge to figure out the heating/ac was leaking. Then they quoted replacement chassis cost $7000 plus unknown hours of labor. I contacted the factory dealer, the machine should be only $3000 before tax. The billing department threatened us to pay the balance of the bill or will send the bill to collection agency after we tried to dispute the second invoice. Totally incompetent service!

AMHAC had to return several days later and charged me for emergency overtime service. They then had to return again to install a new part (fully charging for this too, without a credit for the prior visit despite multiple requests). In the process of installing the new part, another part of the system stopped working and left me without heat in all of our bedrooms on a very cold day. AMHAC made me wait all day for another round of emergency service and then sent someone who had no idea how to fix the problem, requiring yet another appointment to be made.
Description of Work: I have a "silver" maintenance contract with All Makes Heating DBA "AMHAC" for air and heat at my property. They performed basic maintenance pursuant to the contract and in the process failed to observe a boiler relay was not working properly.

Technician came out at time of service as agreed. He was friendly and professional. However his recommendation was to replace the control unit which I did (still under warranty) but when I installed the new one it still has the same problem. I called AMHAC to tell them what I had done and they said they would need to charge me again another $100 dlls to come out and see what was going on. I told them I would agree to pay if I had installed it incorrectly or I had done something wrong but not if the previous disgnostic was incorrect. They said they would only come out if I agree with the charge. I said I was going to write up a review if they did not come under my proposal. After that the person on the phone talked with the supervisor and they confirmed that their policy was to charge the $100 and no option was given. I told them I found it to be unfair and wrong but they said that was their policy so I am writing this review as a warning to others. At the end I told them I would call someone else. When asked if I needed them for a future service to feel free to call them, at which time I told them that it was never going to happen.
Description of Work: The provider was asked to come out and check and installation for an April Air 700 Humidifier. I had replaced my old Humidifier (12 year old April Air) with a new one and it was not working for some reason. Should have been straight forward installation as I was just diconnecting and connecting a new one

All I needed was my A/C repaired. It was repaired but kept going out so the company kept sending new technicians to re-repair the issue that was never actually "fixed" while also charing me for every visit. I had health issues and never knew of what was really going on.Charges accumulated repeatedly . I hired another repair man from a different company and he fixed the issue in 2 days and I haven't had a problem since. I felt frauded All Makes Heating & Air Conditioning Corporation

Avoid this company like the plague. They require, before they will do any work, that you sign a form that absolves them of any responsibility for consequential damage that may result from their actions (other than to the equipment that they are servicing). So I guess I shouldn't have been surprised when they destroyed some sensitive electronic equipment when they were testing circuits. They charged almost twice the list price for the part that they needed to replace. They charged an additional $65 for shipping that part to them (the part was shipped domestically and weighed less than 1 lb).
Description of Work: Hired to check some electrical circuits that were not performing properly.

There technician come as per my service plan. This was for routine air conditioner service. I specifically asked why the condensing unit was ?on? despite my turning off the air conditioning. Together we looked at all the wall thermostats (both on the main floor and in the attic). He instructed me to make sure they were all set to ?off? on the left side and ?automatic? on the right side. Together we looked at each thermostat and set it accordingly. He assured me that the condensing unit would not go on. However, the condensing unit continued to be in operation. I call AMHAC and spoke with them. I explained that the technician showed me how to set the thermostats. I called and spoke with AMHAC and they scheduled another technician to come. I told the technician who came that the condenser unit kept going on. He looked at all the thermostats and then explained that, in the attic, the round thermostat did not control the AC; there was another box right next to it that did. He explained that we had to set this to 90 degrees and also turn off the corresponding air handler. I asked why the previous technician did not tell me this?he said that the previous technician may have been mistaken. I had to take another day off from work for this second visit and also continued to loose money paying for AC in my attic (while my windows were wide open) during the hottest weeks of the summer. On top of this?you were prepared to charge me for this second visit! I feel that the first technician made a mistake and I should not have had to take a second day off from work, loose more money in electric bills?and then be charged by AMHAC. They responded to my appeal saying that my call was a "nuisance" call and I would have to pay.
Description of Work: they came to check my air conditioning and investigate a problem I said I was having.
