The job included a complete air conditioning system including new ductwork throughout. if was finished in 1.5 days as scheduled and any request we made esthetically or otherwise was handled. Nice to be able to deal with people like this.

 + -1 moreThe American Cool Air team of technicians, supervised by Rob S., were wonderful, thoroughly knowledgable and neat as a pin. The total installation was completed over two days. The system is highly efficient and extremely quiet. This purchase and installation option provided a total of $850 in cash rebates: $500 from PSEG of Long Island and $350 directly from Trane. Rob S. Handled all of the paperwork flawlessly. I would without hesitation recommend American Cool Air to friends and neighbors.
Description of Work: We had to replace our entire central air conditioning system due to severe damage caused to our house by Hurricane Sandy. Selected American Cool Air because we had experience with their installation manager, Rob S., from an earlier renovation in 1990. Rob S. is the finest A/C technician that I have ever met. He is a consummate professional and a great guy. Period. We were provided with several options. We ended up installing a Trane XR-17 two speed compressor matched to a Trane Hyperion air handler. American Cool Air also re worked all of the attic duct work to a state of the art, highly energy efficient R standard, added a Trane whole house media filter, performed some sheet metal work by adding an access door to the air return in the attic, a new programable thermostat, and a/c grills for the first floor. This is a top of the line system but is non-communicating (we were not interested in a more expensive communicating system). The compressor was installed on a raised cement block platform with an anti vibration pad.

 + -1 moreThe work went as expected, no major problems. We have used the two ductless units for heat sporadically. The central air and cooling aspect of ductless we will enjoy this summer. Every call and every email was answered promptly - great customer service. We highly recommend American Cool Air!

Description of Work: Work is planned for May 2013. Owner is very knowlegable and does not resort to pressure tactics for business. Options were explored and the final say was left up to me. Do to storm damage, I have have dealt with many others. That's why I know the difference. Looking forward to working with American Cool Air.

 + -1 moreThey were prompt. Everybody that came was extremely nice and neat. They were terrific to deal with. There was nothing they could have improved upon. We spent a lot of money. Their prices may have been a little on the higher side. We didn’t have much to compare the price to.
