The Clutter Guy

I have The Clutter Guy coming back next week. I thought I'd be embarrassed having anyone see my mess, but he was so goodnatured and sweet. He assurred me he had seen it all, and never raised an eyebrow... He told me he understood my ADD mentality, thank God! lol I hate trying to explain that to people who don't get it. After the (free) consultation, we scheduled the work to be done the following week. We worked on my living room first. I participated for a while, but when I got too stressed, he told me to just relax while he took care of it. He was like the energizer bunny. I have trouble deciding what to throw out and what to keep, band he made it easy for me. He never made me feel like a lazy slop, as others have done. The next morning I came downstairs to a beautiful, neat, uncluttered living room, and had a cup of tea at my coffee table, which I hadn't been able to do in a loooong time. It was so peaceful and calm, just like The Clutter Guy logo with the woman doing the warrior pose! I just scheduled his next visit to work on my other rooms. I know I can't keep my house uncluttered for long, so he's going to visit me once a month to to help me catch up before I get overwhelmed again. That's probably the best part of all and worth every single penny. If you've seen the TV shows where professional organizers declutter someone's house and you thought, "wow, you can hire someone to do that???", but were to afraid to look into it, this is the guy for you. It took me a couple of years to finally do it, and I could kick myself for putting it off. He charges $50 an hour which is nothing considering how it can change your attitude about life. An uncluttered enviroment = An uncluttered mind.
