We specialize in clearing your house, not your wallet. Our personal touch and courteous staff sets us a cut above our competition for any of our services: tag sale, estate sale or clean out. We have over 20 years of experience in selling antiques and vintage items. The professionals at Pack Rat will guide you through a variety of our services. We will be happy to recommend which one best suits your needs. We offer tag sales, estate sales, clean outs and the purchase of part or entire estates. If a clean out is what your looking for we offer more than competitive prices. In addition we are a step above our larger competitors. We will pack and donate all usable items to charity, recycle any items that can be recycled and we break down all items flat in our truck or dumpster(your choice) to give you maximum value for your dollars! Dave and Dan were very professional and considerate of what we were going through cleaning out my mothers house. They accommodated us on very short notice, there were no surprises and I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone.

Description of Work: Pack Rat did a "cleaning out" for a estate house being prepared for sale. The homeowner had lived in it for 50+ years, and the accumulation of junk over this time period was astonishing -- basically, two whole floors of the house (1600 square feet total). David and his team were professional, thorough, and worked hard over two days to finish the clean out and haul everything away. They delivered exactly the service they said they would.

Dave and his crew were prompt (arriving when they said they would) and courteous when I met them at my parents' house. They immediately got to work and were able to finish the entire house and garage by late afternoon. Dave and his crew were very easy to work with throughout the day which in itself was emotional at best. They were patient and understanding when needed. I would not hesitate to use them again due to their professionalism and getting the job done on time.

They did a really good job. It is so helpful to have the clutter removed from the house. They have good customer service, he really listened to me and was patient. The crew worked hard. They got everything done in one day when I thought it would take 2, which saved me a lot of money!

Description of Work: I had a very good experience with Pack Rats. They sincerely helped with the difficult task of emptying out a house. They ran a great tag sale and got a reasonable amount for the items that sold. They also helped to get rid of the stuff that did not sell. I had a very aggressive schedule and they worked hard to meet that schedule. They were very responsive and dependable. They really helped make a difficult task a whole lot easier.

The Pack Rats are candidates for sainthood in my book! They were calm, professional, caring helpers in the stressful days before I moved out of a house my family had lived in for 60 years. Pack Rat finished the clean up process that I found too difficult physically and emotionally to finalize myself, and they left the house in great shape for painting and showing. I recommend them without reservation.

I am very impressed with the Pack Rats. They are hard-working professionals, very knowledgeable about their work and a delight to work with. They organized and priced my items two days before the sale, handled the advertising for it, and managed the customers and sales skillfully and cheerfully. I know my event was a small sale for them, but they did not treat me like small potatoes. And I was surprised and delighted by what I made from the sale. Thanks to them, an overwhelming and stressful task went very smoothly.

Description of Work: I called Pack Rat after seeing them on Angie's List. Being that I have never had an estate sale,they were able to explain exactly how things were done & what the cost would be. They were WONDERFUL!!!! Professional,friendly,knowledgeable and extremly hard working! The clean up they did before hand was worth the price paid all by itself!!!! Do Not expect garage sale prices for an estate sale! It's comparing apples to oranges! They are there for 1 reason,to make you a profit! Trust that they know what they are doing,because they do!!!!! I would definitly use them again & cannot say enough!!!!! Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!! A+

We stayed in touch via phone and email until the week before the sale when they spent several hours going through what we wanted to sell, and even found some additional items we had forgotten about. They brought a very professional looking locking jewelry case and several tables, and a lot of our merchandise was price-marked that day. The morning of the sale, they got everything ready for sale and totally took care of everyone who walked in the door. The sale ran from 9 to 3 and we were paid at the end of the day. And they're still confident about selling a special item for me in the near future.
Description of Work: Dave and Dan don't charge any upfront costs for their services; they work on commission & they work very hard! My husband John & I were impressed with the depth of their knowledge of our merchandise, organizational and interpersonal skills, and their ability to get fair prices for what was sold. Great job!

They prepared us well for a sale. We had 20 people show up right when the sale started and we were busy the whole time. We ended up making double what we expected to make and I gave them a nice bonus on top of their original price.
