Acted great at beginning then never showed on job. Left workers there only. Had many excuses. Threatened wouldn't come back if I didn't pay more. I did and he did a little more work and never showed again. Did not do a good job. Wallboard is all wet. Used wrong insulation for basement and brought wallboard to touch cement floor - this is contracting 101 NOT to bring to floor where will meet moisture! He did electrical for even more money and did it all wrong - pointed out to me by licensed electrician - and used wrong outlet for a dryer! All in all Jake Zak, or whatever his real name is, is a liar and cheat. I kept all of ours texts and transcribed them. I am suing for all of the money I paid him since I've had to hire new people to correct what he did wrong. Lawyer says will be no contest with the texts he sent and threatened me and pictures and witnesses to really horrible job. Cannot stress enough that he doesn't have a clue and why have so many businesses with different names that do the same things unless trying to avoid taxes or something????

Ordered the WRONG cabinets! Had to wait 4 weeks for new ones! Ordered WRONG PANTRY! Had to wait 4 weeks for new one! Countertops, one side of kitchen is higher than the other, cabinets too high for me (didn't bother to measure countertop for my height, just said that the floor was uneven, they had to do what the floor allowed them to do (wouldn't a professional have fixed this problem?) They installed the new stove, but it was BELOW the countertop, which it should have been level with the counter, so now we have plywood stuck underneath the stove to raise it, and it looks hideous! The countertop was installed improperly on 1 side. It didn't match up in the corner, and it now has a brown epoxy sloppily placed in the corner to fill the gap. Cabinet doors hung crookedly. Handles on cabinets had the screws chipping through the wood on the inside, very sloppy. Floor wasn't level, but they still placed the Pergo floor right on top of unevenness instead of leveling off to even.
Description of Work: Jake and his crew of 3 removed everything from our old kitchen and installed a brand-new kitchen. New cabinets, appliances, floor, countertop, electrical, etc.
