After 6 weeks header began to bow down. I called and asked if they could change the header to a 6" x 6" post. I didn't expect them to do it for free and offered to pay something. The owner told me if would have to pay at least $750 for them to come out. - it's wasn't worth their time. WOW - what a way for them to stand behind their work.

We are satisfied with the completed project. The project was completed in two days on the schedule that was promised. The fence looks good and appears to be sturdy. We have had a number of compliments on its appearance. However, we recommend that anyone doing a similar project be prepared to follow the project closely. The issues we encountered included 1) the initial building permit was obtained from the wrong town, 2) the initial contract was for a different design fence than what we had agreed upon, 3) the workers took no care to avoid ruts in our lawn which took a lot of personal effort to repair, and 4) the workers "hid" dirt from the fence holes under our evergreen trees, even though we had paid for it to be hauled away.

Went to the home show in Buffalo in March. Talk to John High salesman at the show. Mr. High remember me from doing part of my back yard a few years ago. Told Mr. High about the other fence with high storm in March. Talk about having him come out and giving quote on new fence. I was told at the show there be a 10 percent discount. When I put the deposit down I forget about the 10 percent discount, but remember when I paid the bill in full. Talked to the owner about the issue he stated that they never gave any discounts or coupons, his words, but he needs to look back the last time I did business with his company. I had a $100.00 coupon because I again went to the home show. The work was good but not happy with company with what I was told at show. My error for not remembering but owner shouldn't say to me that they don't give any form of discount. I paid $2960 for 75ft of 6ft Lakeland fencing.

ain.The fence installation went perfectly well, all complete in one day. After the first winter, I noticed that the fence was very bowed (warped) in one section, so I called their sales office. The FIRST thing I was told was that I hadn't read the FINE PRINT, that warping did occasionally happen with wooden fences. But the sales guy said he was and quot;on my sideand quot; and would look into sending someone out and take a look, that they didn't want to and quot;screw meand quot;. I never heard from him or the company again.

Great! Seven years later its a little rickety. I would recommend a harder wood than pine. Some of knots have come out and hinges needed repairs, probably normal wear. If you have a rabbit problem like us, have the fence go deeper.

Within a week of my initial call, John High came to my home to discuss what I needed and present an estimate. He explained that his company would tear down and haul away my old fence, but that the soil they dug out to set the posts in cement would be left for me to dispose of. (Another company I spoke with had the same policy for leaving the soil.) I also needed some repairs on my 6' high wooden gate, which he did for free. Within a week, the posts were set and one week later, the fence was built! I was very pleased with this company from beginning to end and will definitely call them to replace the rest of my old fencing!

I felt that Picket Fence did a wonderful job. They were really great at cleaning up, and the fence looks great. They did everything I asked for, and made it look great.
