The price was higher, but the quality was better. They came when they were suppose to. The guys who put them in were professional. They did the job. They were courteous. They were nice guys. I didn't have a problem with them working on my house. They were clean. They cleaned up, and didn't leave me a mess.

They came on time, keep area clean, worked for two days to install new windows. Very friendly installers.

service and promptness on our scheduled appointment was wonderful, they were installed and finished with no problems. After they were installed i was shown how to operate them and tilt for cleaning. i am impressed with the quality and ease of operating the windows. i am a senior citizen so i need them to operate smoothly and easily.

I had my downstairs windows replaced in May 2016, and finished the upstairs in April 2017. The Nexgen installers were prompt, polite, thorough, and updated me throughout the day on what was going on. Also, it was the same 2 installers for both dates used, a year apart, showing stability within the company. During the April 2017 install rain was in the forecast, so they made sure to complete all work they started as not to leave anything open to the elements. Also they honored their promise that if I completed any additional work within 18 months of my initial work that the pricing would be the same as the original quote.

The doors are wonderful. We've gotten numerous compliments on the entry doors. We chose the glamor glass for one door. They have improved the look of our house and are very energy efficient. The sliding glass doors are of A++ quality as well. Absolutely no drafts and they are so easy to open. I can't wait to complete our addition so we can add the windows we purchased. The customer service was very knowledgeable and friendly too. We will be purchasing more windows for our apartments in the near future as well. I will recommend this company to all my family and friends for all of their window and door needs!

Randy & his partner where very professional in removal & install of window & clean up. They put covers on our floor & one to cover the sink.

I'm probably going to use them, I've just been procrastinating a little bit.

We searched for local companies that distribute/install Thermal Industries windows and only found one - Nexgen. I obtained quotes from a couple of other firms using other brands of windows just to confirm that Nexgen's quoted price was reasonable. I was told I was getting a 50% discount from Nexgen, but its project cost was comparable to the other quotes. It could be that the cost of Thermal Industries' windows is generally higher than the competing brands so that more of a discount was needed to be competitive. I didn't bother spending time to try to sort this out. I was a bit uncomfortable with Nexgen's business model. It's not one, integrated business. The Mayles run the commercial side of the business (essentially sales and contracting) and they hire another person who has his own home improvement business to do the installation work. This is a more complicated relationship, but I felt I needed to get past that in order to get Thermal Industries windows. Being a DIY'er for most things and having a desire and appreciate for quality work, I monitor contractors' work (at least initially) to confirm that their commitment to quality is at a good level. I didn't get off to a good start with this project. Five of the windows are picture windows that were not properly measured. As a result, the replacements were about 1/2" too short. Rather than potentially "blowing up" the job, I decided to concede the 1/2" of glass and compromise on the trim (1/4" quarter round was being used for the post-install interior trim, but a 1" board needed to be used at the top due to the size of the gap with the frame). A couple of the window frames/sills had sections containing rot. I was very clear with the installer that these needed to be replaced at the time the job was being scoped. During the installation of one of the widows, I noticed that it was being installed without removal of a rotten section of framing. I reminded the installer of our agreement. He said he didn't think it was "that bad", but did agree to replace a section. Again, this left me uncomfortable. So I decided I needed to monitor the entire job. This became a bit difficult because we had a number of scheduling issues resulting from weather and installer sickness and family issues requiring his attention - some of which were communicated in advance and a couple of which were surprises. This resulted in much of the exterior work being done at a time that had not been scheduled and when I was not present to supervise. That said, the installer was now aware of my concerns and left the sections involving rot exposed so that I could see what he replaced before they installed the aluminum cladding the following day. The replacements were done adequately and the installation of the cladding was of good quality. The installer also worked with me to facilitate quality and cost-effective finishing of the interior trim. He cut all the pieces to shape, left them for me to stain and coat with polyurethane, and then came back a couple weeks later to install. Unfortunately, it wasn't until after all the trim was installed and I was backfilling the nail holes that I noticed that a few of the awning windows were shimmed too low, such that there was a small gap (instead of an overlap) between the external edge of the quarter round and the frame of the replacement window. Overall, I gave a the project a "C" rating because I thought the outcome was just OK. While everyone was courteous and ultimately responsive to concerns I was able to identity and express during the course of the job, I think it would have gone much better if the installers were more meticulous (e.g., when taking measurements) and devoted to quality workmanship.

Overall this was a strange experience that I would not like to repeat. I ordered a front door on April 12, 2016. After waiting more than a month I called for an update on when it would arrive, I was told by the owner of the company that it would be a few more weeks due to a manufacturing glitch. When the door was finally ready, I was out of town. When I came back, the installer was out of town. The door was finally installed the first week of September. This is nearly five months after I ordered it. I was not too upset about this, just surprised. When the installation guy hung the door it hit a wall opposite the door in such a way that the new door would only open 3/4s of the way. This was due to the new door having different hinges than the old door. This situation would require a modification of the wall opposite the door. This is where things get weird. The installer who was a pleasant enough guy announced "you have a problem here." I responded that I did not have a problem, he did. He was the guy who had measured the door and I had pointed out this potential trouble spot on his initial visit many weeks previous. Within minutes, owner of the company appeared at my house. He inspected the door (the one that could open only 3/4s of the way) and asked me Don't you think you could live with it like this?" I told him, the owner of NextGen, that I needed the door to open up wide enough to bring couches and Christmas trees into the house. He considered this and said they would be back in a week to modify the wall so the door could swing all the way open. This is where things get even stranger. An hour later I received a phone call from the owner. He asked if I was happy with the job. I said I was but it was not complete. He then asked me if I would be able to go change my previous rating of a "D" on Angie's List to a higher rating. I had written a review earlier to express my frustration with the time it was taking to get the door after having ordered it. I do not think it was right that I was asked to upgrade my rating before the job was finished. His suggestion that I do so made me uncomfortable, especially since the job had not been finished. A week later, the installation men came and did finish the job in less than an hour. The door is nice. The installers were competent and courteous. They were very careful to clean up after themselves. I am happy with how the door looks and now it does open all the way as one would expect. The price was reasonable for a good-quality, attractive front door. I was not happy with how long it took from the day it was ordered to the day it was installed. Five months is a long time. I am still puzzled that I was expected to accept the door when it only opened 3/4s of the way. I will say that the owner of NextGen was extremely polite. Our conversations never became heated or unpleasant. I am, however, puzzled that I was asked to change the Angie's List rating before the job was completed. I told him that I would upgrade my rating, so I will. P.S., In the time between ordering the door and its installation, my house sustained storm damage. I will be needing a number of windows replaced. I will not be calling NextGen.

We used them in the past and gave them a rating of an A. We weren't impressed with them this time and I would probably rate them a B. The purchase was easy. The difficulty was with the installers. The installers were less than professional. Their workers could be more communicative. They kind of had a difference of opinion with my carpenter's crew. They ripped open a section of plastic sheeting with a knife without asking permission. The price was an A because they are fabulous windows. Responsiveness is a A because the guy called while on vacation. I would use them in future with caution.

They did an excellent job with the entire project. We also had them return in the spring of 2016 to take out and replace the 4 remaining bedroom windows. When they said they were coming, they were very prompt. They were also good with clean-up. Beginning with their initial presentation, they were very good and did not apply any pressure to purchase their product. The presentation was very thorough and understandable. We compared them to other window presentations, and costs, and they were much more affordable for us. We would definitely recommend them to anyone. Some of our neighbors also used them. We are also currently considering having them install a storm door. Their product is wonderful and we are extremely pleased.

Everyone, from Mary in the office, Nicolas who came to the house for measurements, to Randy & Bonnie the installers, made the whole process worry free. They patiently answered all out questions, installation was clean, neat and very professional. Will use them again for next phase of window replacement. A definite recommend!

I have waited nine weeks, still no door. Spoke to the owner. He agreed it seemed like a long time. That was last week. I have not received any updates. I do not think the customer should have to chase a company down to get the item that was ordered. So far, I am NOT impressed.

I was given an estimate by them salesperson. Found him to be very knowledgeable about the product. Two installers came on my schedule. Came on time did a beautiful job. Cleaned up & were very professional.

The salesman and the installer work hand and hand and were awesome!!!!! Very smart, knowledgeable, passionate, and fair.

The owner met with us, listened to our needs, and gave us a thorough explanation of the different kinds of available windows. He then made useful suggestions on how we could both save energy costs and improve the attractiveness of our building without spending too much money. We accepted his offer. The following week, their representative measured all of our windows. Several weeks later, they arrived precisely on schedule to remove our old and install our new windows. The job went along flawlessly. Their crew was courteous, neat, and eager to minimize any disruption to our business operations. The entire job took about 3 days start to finish. When done, they cleaned up and removed all of the debris. This was one of the best contractor experiences we have ever had. I was so impressed, I'm having them replace the windows in my personal residence as well.

Originally he took a check of $2,000 up front to fix the area above the door while planning to fix the entire house for $6500. After finding out about the deal my mother's cousin called and tried to reach a deal with him to give the money back or even do just part of the work but he never agreed to anything and just kept the money. I called Mark in August in an attempt to get their money back, telling him he took advantage of my parents who barely knew what they were signing and using them for their money. He told me he would not give any of the money back and instead would do half the job in October, which turned into November and then December. On December 14th I then called him and told him he had until December 31st to finish what he said he would do 3 months earlier or I would take him to court. He never did any work on the house so I was forced to consult 3 different lawyers, only to learn I could not sue him on their behalf without power of attorney (which I now have.) I was unable to get any of my parents money back and he got away with stealing from my confused, elderly parents. In the end he never did any work on the house, not even the door he initially promised to fix for my mother, while keeping all of the money my parents originally gave him in check form. At the time my father could barely write his name. He took their money knowing they weren't fit to deal with the situation he placed them in and never intending to do any of the work on the house. He never showed any remorse for what he has done and I hope he never gets any more business because of his actions. He was the worst individual I have ever had to interact with in my life and it pains my heart the way he was able to take advantage of my parents in the way that he did.

The salesperson was very professional. Seemed knowledgeable about his company's product. Kind of high pressured. Said that I could have 10% off if I signed immediately. When I said no, I do not make decisions on the spur of the moment, he told me he had to contact his boss. This made me feel like I was purchasing a car, when they have to speak to their manager 1st before setting up a deal. Also, he had a questionnaire that needed to be filled out before we started talking about the windows. Another thing I didn't like was that when I engaged them at a local home show, I was not told that these were replacement windows only. I was looking for a complete knockout and repair work to be done around the whole window. I'm not sure if they used their own contractors or not and that's another thing I prefer. If the company gets my business, I want to make sure they have their own contractors.

The salesman came to our house and gave us the typical replacement windows presentation. This was our fifth vendor that visited our home. Their product seemed like a very nice window but the salesman was extremely aggressive. He was knowledgeable about the specific product he was trying to sell (vinyl replacement windows) but did not understand the difference between inserts and full frame replacements. I don't think he had much experience in actually installing windows. After giving us his sale pitch, he insisted that we agree that "we had enough information to decide tonight" and make a purchase immediately even though we told him outright that we were not going to make a decision that night. We wanted to sit down later without any sales people around and compare all the different estimates and make an informed decision. He persisted in trying to get us to purchase his windows on the spot. We told him no and thanked him for coming over to give us his presentation. He then called his boss and said he needed to talk to him to prove that he was actually working but in reality, he was just using his boss to try to close the sale. We felt insulted and compared him to a bad used car salesman. I had to practically throw him out of my house because he wouldn't take no for an answer. I will never do business with Nexgen and I would recommend folks stay away!

We were at a County Fair and a Vendor for Windows caught our attention. We talked for a little while and he offered us a discount if we spinned the wheel. We were offered a 20% discount if we purchased after a home demonstration. At the home demonstration, we were impressed with the information and selection of windows etc and we contracted for about 10 triple pane windows of various sizes, a sliding Patio Door and a front entrance door. Installation was completed, before cold weather, in a couple days.
