after surveying and providing a quote for my project. I verbally agreed to go ahead with the work based upon the smootheness of the interaction to that point. Unfortunately, things went downhill rather quickly after that. Upon asking for a certificate of insurance and attempting to setup a time to provide a deposit , the communications all but ceased. After multiple attempts to contact Jim, he finally called me back and said he was "too busy" to get to me in my timeframe ( I hadnt specified one!) and handed me off to another company. I went thru the quote process again and although I am paying almost 40% more than Jim's original quote , I am much more confident that the project will succeed

From the issuance of his estimate to the completion of his work Jim Clark was not only professional but a joy to work with. Weather played a key role in the staining of our deck. The deck is very large encompassing more than 700 square feet. Jim meticulously handled each nuance with the professionalism one would only wish for. He completed the job on time and the deck looks beautiful.

I would definitely use Pangloss again. Jim Clark was professional and thorough. He showed up when he said he would and was diligent about keeping me informed about weather delays. His crew even power washed some weathered outdoor furniture and repaired some cracked siding and decking without being asked. The house looks great and we were completely satisfied with the experience. Great service at a fair price.

Very good across the board. Quick turnaround on estimate. Their price was very close to the cheapest estimate I received, but it was clear that they thought it through much more thoroughly, which gave me more confidence. They started when they said they would and finished quickly. There were little things that weren't discussed originally and they just took care of it at no extra charge. I will be using them for interior painting next.
