I couldn't be happier with the work that was done. The deck is beautiful and has become THE place to enjoy summer on the water. Dave and his crew are meticulous and they do top quality work. From the beginning of the project they said that if there was something I wasn't happy with they would come back to make it right -- I never had to ask them to come back, the work was just from done to perfection right from the start. Perhaps what I appreciated most was the open communication when original plans needed to be modified based on the quirks of my house as was the case with the bathroom vanity.
Description of Work: I hired DG Contracting to add a deck to my lake house, replace 2 windows and 2 doors as well as replace toilets in 2 bathrooms and a vanity in one.

The electrical inspection was a bust- the inspector told David Gardner how to have certain aspects of the wiring completed to code before the inspection which he did not do. It was not just a few minor mistakes with the electrical, there were numerous non-complience items. Smoke detectors wired in upstairs and down--he only put one in the downstairs. Too Numerous to list all of them. Boxing in two registers--easy enough--he only did 3 sides of the box on BOTH registers. The two windows on the front of the house, one upstairs and one down, are not lined up with each other. Off by 2 inches--there has been something wrong with everything he did.
Description of Work: I needed a general contractor to complete my residence to pass local inspections. DG Contracting provided me with a written contract to remove drywall, install 200 amp service panel, run new wiring, pass the electrical inspection and replace drywall among other less extensive tasks like a half wall, boxing in a register, and installing two windows

D.G. Contracting (David Gardner) failed to complete any of the contracted tasks without some problem. There was paint on rugs and furniture. Repaired ceilings looked exactly like repaired ceilings. No trim nor caulking was done on most windows. One cellar window had gaps at the side you could stick your hand through. The worst was the regrouting of tub/shower. Epoxy grout was used. Due to inadequate removal of old grout the new grout lapped over the sides of the tiles. In some spots the new grout did not cover the old. A haze of epoxy grout was left on the tiles. There was grout dried on the bathroom floor, entry hall and outside on a fence. Scratches were put in bath tub. As a result another contractor had to gut the bathroom and completely redo the room.
Description of Work: Lamoreaux Construction provided an estimate for ceiling repair, painting, replacing 7 windows and regrouting shower/tub. When it was time to start the job was subcontracted to D.G. Contracting.
