Perfect...monitored all controls, checked system "charge," and advised re: operation. He tested unit while I waited and it performed OK. Very quick response to my call, thorough check-up and service charge appropriate to visit! Highly recommend this contractor...have used him many times over the years with great results!

We contacted Besch to have someone come out to look at our furnace after our CO alarm went off and the fire department found high levels of carbon monoxide in the home. The gas company arrived after the house was vented and minimal/expected levels were found, so we wanted to have someone come in and take a look around. We definitely weren't impressed by the phone conversation with Besch, which went something like, "Oh well... not to play this down but it's probably your detector, so you should replace that. Also, have someone check the chimney to make sure it's clear. Unfortunately I won't be able to come by for a couple weeks, I can call you back later with a more exact time." Replace the detector? I suppose I should call the fire department and let them know they need new detectors too. Especially since the home has filled with CO twice in the past week. He then just kept saying, "It's not you, it's me, I'm simply too busy." I called another company off Angie's List and they flagged this as high priority and sent someone right over. Maybe Besch does good work, and maybe they simply are over-booked at the moment, but the courtesy of a referral and a bit more professionalism go a long way as far as I'm concerned.

The technician arrived right on time, went to work immediately and was done within an hour. I was relieved that he did not make any attempt to sell me on additional work and I will certainly use this company in my new home.

They were good overall and I would use them again in the future.
