Dave was on-site early and ready to go. He very thorough and explained what he was looking for and it’s importance. He generated detailed reports for the properties the next day. I’d highly recommend Dave to anyone needing a home inspection.

David from HouseAbout did a fabulous job with the home inspection. He was very thorough and the report he created was exceptional, beyond what I thought was a good report from prior inspections. Everything was very detailed and all items were photographed for easy reference. He's obviously very experienced and did a great job pointing out items during the inspection. He also was very flexible when our original appointment was delayed due to our delay with the realtors and contract signing. Couldn't have asked for anything more, highly recommended!

David completed two home inspections for us this year on two different homes I was looking to buy. He also did a pre-inspection on my own home before I put it up for sale. David is very through and explains major and minor issues well during the inspection. His inspection reports are very detailed and well explained with photographs documenting all issues. These reports were important in our decision making on which house to move forward with and buy. I highly recommend David’s home inspection work.

David was waiting for us at 8:30 am after we had contacted him the day before, already impressive. He went to work going through every room, turning on every switch, tap, flushing every toilet, photographing and diagnosing. His meticulous work, documented in a comprehensive online report complete with photos, was used by us to help contractors provide estimates for remediation. More immediately, the fact that he provided documentation of mold in the attic, due to improper venting, plus radon in the basement, meant we were able to force the seller to fix these prior to contract, saving us well over 3X his fee. His work is so thorough it can be used as a scope of work for making your house new again.

David was affordable, thorough, knowledgeable, and very helpful in finding defects in what will be our largest investment to date. This is our second time using him and we couldn't recommend him more. He's worth every dime and his services are a solid investment.

Dave showed up on very short notice, as we found a property 48 hrs before getting back on a plane. He was the first person on the site at 7:30 am, and took 4 hrs to inspect a 4BR 4B home with outbuildings and a pool. He submitted an online report with 80+ photos in a well-organized shapter-style format that could be seperated out for reuse in sending to approrpriate service providers. Since I shadowed Dave, he gave me a running commentary and basically showed me every room at an X-ray level. He is a master of the craft.

David was there before our scheduled meeting time, already examining and taking photos of the exterior of the property. He spent several hours in a relatively small townhouse, thoroughly examining every inch of it and documenting his findings with notes and photos. There were a few findings he found important enough to bring to my immediate attention, so I was already getting some much needed information about a transaction which ultimately would have been a mistake. David's report was more than a dozen pages long with quality photographs and diagrams and arrows to ensure the report was easily understandable. I did feel that his price was just a bit higher than some of his competitors, but in my mind it was certainly worth it.

David was great. He came out on a Saturday morning to do the inspection on short notice. He was prompt and super thorough, I followed him around and he explained everything and answered my questions. He sent the complete report the next morning. He provided an excellent service.

March 2017. I have found David O’Keefe’s work to be extremely thorough. He takes his time going over the entire house and is always willing to answer questions. He highlights questionable areas which would require other opinions His report is very professional and informative – I will use it as a guide for planning future repairs or improvements. The first house Mr. O’Keefe inspected for me had multiple issues and the sale did not go through saving me from a large mistake. This house also has an issue where Mr. O’Keefe suggested I contact a structural engineer, which I did. I mention this because the engineer had very complementary comments to make regarding Mr. O’Keefe’s work and assessment of the situation.

I have used David for two house purchases and would recommend him to everyone. His inspection is very thorough and his report has a lot of photographs, comments, explanations and links for further information. It will become my reference for future repairs and improvements. David is very calm, professional and thoroughly explains all the positive and negative items he reports.
