The stove they sold me was basically a lemon, the thermostat never worked correctly. I would wake up in the morning of a freezing cold night & it would have shut off when it was not supposed to. The thermostat would be set to 70° and the house would be 50°. The secretary told me herself that the manufacturer of the stove said she didn't file the correct warranty paperwork with them. Instead of fixing the problem they stuck me with the cost of their defective stove.

Bart in the showroom was knowledgable and helpful and Mike and Keith installing were great as well. The install went smoothly and looks great. Happy with our purchase.
Description of Work: Provided information and guidance on a gas insert to install in our existing fireplace. Purchased a Mendota insert and had it installed by Sleepy Hollow's installers.

Everything went great the price of the stove we brought was about the same everywhere we looked we needed a platform and a riser to go with it for our installation which made our costs go up.But from writing up our order to the girls in the office who called us to set up first an appointment for the installer to check out our house and go over the best location for the stove, then they had to order it and come back to put it in.both times the office set up a time and they showed up right on schedule . It was a good experience dealing with Sleepy Hollow Stove thank you all Sam
Description of Work: Having done my research on pellet stoves my wife and I had a good idea of what we wanted when we went to sleepy hollow stove and fireplace.Bart the sales manager was great filling us in on all the details about the stove we wanted from installation options to what to expect from stove as far as potential savings on heating costs.He did not try to sell us anything else and made us feel comfortable about the choice we made, he had a working model of our stove up and running and it was late August. Bart showed us all about the stove even turning it up to the highest setting almost made me feel like I can't wait for February ...not. At least we will have our stove to keep us warm. Description of Work: We went in to purchase a pellet stove. We made the purchase after about 15 min. The salesman charged our card and then began helping 3-4 other customers, not returning to us before 25 min had past. When we asked about completing our sale and collecting our merchandise that we were going to install, the salesman got an attitude and past a rude comment. We then reversed our sale and left.

With only two salespeople trying to help 4 other parties, who were here before her, this was impossible. We did the best we could. No retailer enjoys losing a sale. Hey, it's hard to bat a thousand. THIS IS A GOOD COMPANY. THE INSTALLERS ARRIVED IN A TIMELY FASHION AND DID THE JOB IN THE TIME THEY SAID THEY WOULD. IT TOOK HALF A DAY AND THE WORK WENT VERY WELL. I'M HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS.
