Long Island Gutters

We needed new gutters,with screens, on a small outbuilding.Long Island Gutters had installed new gutter system on our house through Tri State Windows when we had our vinyl siding done and the gutters are terrific.I called and asked if they would do a small job.Paul was out the next day to give an estimate.This showed us that he was interested, even though the job was much smaller than he usually does.The job was promptly scheduled, the men came and installed new gutters and leaders on the small out building.The screens will save us so much work as the outbuilding is under a huge maple tree, and tons of leaves fall each year. So glad we called Long Island Gutters.Terrific job and fair price.

I called them and they said they will call me back within the day so I waited but they did not call back. I called them back again and nobody calls me back and that happens twice.

Very punctual. Very professional and the guys are great workers. He did it in under an hour. Great. I asked questions. They explained everything. The reason I called them was because I kept getting a smell in one of the gutters right over my garage. I told them and everything. When I did speak to them, come to find out, there was a blockage there. They unclogged it, they even changed that part of the gutter. I even used them to put the covers on.

They are really, really good. The guy is great. He comes out and takes a look at everything, sets everything up. Sometimes they have the generator. They did what they had to do. They call me with any problems. I've never had a problem.

He was very prompt, it was done in one day, was reasonably priced and he did a beautiful job.

They came in the morning and they were very quick. They were done under two hours. They put it all up within two hours. It looks great. They cleaned up their mess. They took everything out, even any boxes. They were great. No problems at all.

Hurricane Sandy had damaged a portion of our gutters. Long Island Gutters provided a very reasonable estimate, did a professional job within a very reasonable time-frame. I would definitely use them again if there is a need.

After experiencing a rain-out on our first try, we rescheduled the appointment only to learn, the morning of the scheduled service call, that our appointment would have to be rescheduled. When pressed for an answer as to why, we were told that contractors bet preferential service and we, as a small private homeowner, basically had to wait for an opening. After complaining about this lack of customer service, we agreed to a Sunday appointment...between 11 and 1. No one showed up, no one called and no one answered our call. On Monday, we called and were told that "there had to have been some issue in the field" and we would be put on the schedule for today (Monday). Finally, around 2pm, I received a call saying the crew were on their way. They arrived around 3:15pm. Once they got there, they did a good job. BUT scheduling and honoring the appointment was pretty bad.

...The morning of I did not receive a call...I waited several hours before I called LIG. The female on the phone stated the crew should be at my home sometime in the afternoon, the work would take approx 2-3 hours and would be completed that day. Late in the day they arrived, 2 workers, both spoke very little english and were difficult to understand, but they began working. At one point I noticed the work detailed in the proposal was not be completed and I had to stop the crew from going any further, and go back and do what I had asked for and was paying for. That conversation took a few minutes to convey due to the langauge barrier. Once they got back on track the work went well and they completed the job in a few hours. The product they installed seemed of good quality and the job looked very neat. However, their clean up was very poor. It's been several days and we're still picking up discarded nails and sections of the old gutter off the lawn and out of the bushes that surround the house. Overall clean up was not good. so to recap; the rep and estimate went very well, they did not call the morning of as they indicated, I had to call them, the crew did not speak english and the work had to be explained to them ( thank God I was home at the time), the end results looks great,

They came the very next day after I called them to give me an estimate. They promised to call me but they never called me. But after I called them to say that we would like them to work for us the gentleman who came explained everything. We have been living here for three years and we knew that was troublesome. He came and investigated the one issue that we were having and he explained that the price included the helmets. He did not sell the more expensive product. He said that in this area we don’t need the heavy-duty cover and advised us to go with the gutter helmet and every year or two maintain them. I appreciated that. He did not say that we needed to spend $2000. He said that what we paid is sufficient and we would be fine. He explained that they would be cleaning out the gutters, installing the helmets and seal any places that might need some sealing. So it was full service. Then when I called them to hire them they came the very next morning to do it. They were done in a timely manner. You heard them but they are on your roof. It was all very professional. It was a very smooth transaction with them. The price is fair for the amount of work these men were doing. As for quality it remains to be seen. Its been there for only a week or two but the product that they gave us seem to be a quality product. I would use them in the future.

Called Tuesday morning. Received quote Tuesday afternoon. Work could not be scheduled for Wednesday, and Thursday was bad for me, so scheduled on Friday. Crew of 2 arrived as scheduled on Friday, removed old gutters and installed new ones. Job went smoothly and gutters no longer leak. The only thing that could have been better was the cleanup. Cleanup was good, but not perfect.

The contractor came out to estimate the job and returned within a few days to do the wok. They were careful of our house and landscaping and disposed of all debris. We are pleased with the job and would recommend them.

I have used them several times and always have been pleased. They're punctual and available to answer questions and address problems.
