+ 0 moreThey were excellent. We liked their work and their work ethic. They were clean and very nice. They were very informative and we felt like we could trust them. It was good quality work. We would absolutely use them again.
Description of Work: We used Empire Fireplace & Chimney to rebuild our chimney. They restuccoed it and put in a new liner.

+ -1 moreEstimate: Was polite and gave us a good idea of the work that would have to be done. They started work almost right away. Men were punctual and well-supervised. They were very neat and cleaned up after themselves after every day's work. Finished a large job in just 4 days. We were very satisfied with their work and would use them in the future.
Description of Work: Pointed and thorough sealed chimney & side of the house.

chimney sweep
+ -1 moreI found Empire on a trade website. Frankly, I chose Empire because they had affiliations with the industry trade groups and Empire has a website. A lot of chimney sweeps seem to be just a phone number with no address or website. Feels fly-by-night to me. I called Empire on a Thursday morning and they were able to come to my place the very next morning. Team of three people, including Paul showed up. Only negative comment I have is that they were 20 minutes late. Other than that, everything was wonderful. No mess. Quick professional job. Everyone spoke English. I would recommend them and plan to use them again next year.
Description of Work: I live in a coop in Union Square in Manhattan. I hired Empire to sweep the chimney of my fireplace.
