Mr. Flores was at all times very respectful and easy to get along with, and his price was commensurate with the competition. However when I asked him about licensing, workmans comp and payment several red flags went up. First, he claimed he was not required to be licensed to install molding in residential structures (NOT true according to Suffolk County). Second, he does not carry workmans comp insurance, and he told me that if one of his workers were to get injured on the job, he would "take care of it himself" (whereas from what I understand, the homeowner would be liable for medical bills given that the work is unlicensed). Finally, Mr. Flores asked for 50% up front, before any work would even be conducted. This was in spite of the fact that he acknowledged the job was mostly labor, not materials (it's actually about 20% materials). Maybe Mr. Flores does great work, but too many red flags for me to hire him.

I just emailed him yesterday to come back to do some more work. He is going to do coffered ceilings in the foyer. I have been emailing back and forth daily with him. I love Bruce and I have used him before. There is nothing like his work. He just custom built a TV stand for a big 65-inch LED 3-D TV this July. He is also going to be doing work for my friend.

Very smooth experience. As before, quality and craftsmanship are outstanding. To put it simply, work is jaw-dropping. Communication, punctuality, tidiness are also commendable. Well worth the sticker price.

Met with Bruce Flores, owner/ operator. Described to him work desired in bedroom and bathroom. Fabrication took approximately 5 weeks (with updates from Bruce in between). All work was completed in 2 days. Craftsmanship is outstanding. Left work area neat and clean. Scheduling job was easy. As a homeowner who has had extensive improvement work done, it was a pleasure to deal with Bruce. Please consider this the utmost recommendation.
