This is the second inspection I've used Andy for and both times have been a great experience. He is as thorough as it gets and really helps you to understand what is going on with your future house and where things can/should be changed. I would highly recommend Andy to anyone looking for home inspection services!

Andy was phenomenal - he walked us through the entire house inch by inch and left no stone unturned. He tested everything there was to test (doors, outlets, appliances, windows, water pressure, and more), and struck a perfect balance of efficiency while also talking through everything he was doing. Throughout the process, Andy was incredibly patient and clear in explaining everything and I learned so much about both homeownership and the house itself. After the inspection, Andy's report documented everything we went through clearly and in detail, and provided solutions to items that would need repair or replacement in the future. Would definitely recommend Andy, especially for a first time homebuyer!

Andy provided top quality service. His inspection was incredibly thorough and covered every aspect of the property. Andy is very knowledgeable about home construction, structures, mechanicals, and operation. He is easy to talk to and explains everything in a way that laypeople can understand. Andy is the most thorough home inspector I've ever met. He went through every single detail of the house, both to make sure he didn't miss anything and to help us understand the inner workings of our future house. He really cares about what he does. Both the live inspection and the report he delivered afterwards were detailed and thoughtful, and ultimately helped us have a successful negotiation with the sellers.

He has clearly been deeply involved at all levels of house ownership which truest shows through in his work. Especially as a first time home buyer, Andy will reveal any and all details about the house you need to know about. Even my realtor was blown away by his level of detail and care. Cannot recommend Poseidon Home Inspections enough. This service was expensive, but wow, was it worth it. We now have a 5-10year financial plan for home upgrades and maintenance which aligns to all the inspection findings.

Andy was great to work with for our home inspection. He was right on time and very thorough in his inspection. He was able to answer all our questions and gave us a crash course in the systems of our new home. The report provided was very detailed and easy to follow. I would definitely use them again!

His write up was 50+ pages long and contained every single detail I could think of with exceptional detail that was consistent with the explanations provided in person. Andy was easy to reach, quick to make an appointment, and arrived as planned. He spent 3.5 hours with us, going through every nook of our house, explaining stuff and answering questions. (This was a maintenance inspection, to help us plan our next round of repair and improvement projects.) His report was really detailed yet easy to understand and act on. We followed up with a conversation to answer a couple questions and get recommendations. All in all, a wonderful experience--so glad we did it and hope to do it again every 5 years or so.

Andy was amazing. He did a thorough check, explained everything to me as he went, & even killed a bug for us (THANK YOU AGAIN!) As a first time home owner he explained everything that is need, what is important, & all the safety issues that need repairing. Right off the bat, Andy was incredible. He took a significant amount of time after normal business hours to talk with me about the process and everything that we would do before I scheduled an appointment. He was prompt, professional and extremely friendly. He was incredibly thorough and knowledgeable in all facets of home construction, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and much much more. Andy spent time explaining how everything works, walked me through some building code/best practices, issues that he noticed and how/when to have them fixed, improvements that could be made, how to maintain everything properly and also things to look out for in the future. He took time to answer all of my questions and made sure I understood everything. His inspection report was turned around very quickly. The report was extremely detailed and well put together with photos, operational diagrams, recommendations and even some links to ‘odds and ends’ parts that we would need. He also included maintenance tips and suggestions with timelines. As a first time home buyer or for any home buyer/owner for that matter, I could not recommended Andy and Poseidon Home Inspection highly enough. He is the best. Thank you so much again!!

This is a review that is long overdue. My fiancé and I have put in an offer in a home in Westchester. Being how hot the housing market is for sellers during the pandemic, we needed to accelerate our buy-side of the process. As a first time home buyer (and a city kid who knew little about houses), I needed someone who was knowledgable and personable. After doing some research online, I found Andy and Poseidon Home Inspectors. Andy was easy to talk to. During our initial phone call, he explained his process and what he intended to do. He was transparent of his fees and what was expected after the inspection. After setting the date and time of the home inspection, he advised that he and my fiancé be present for the inspection. We listened and we were very satisfied with his work. Professional and exceeded expectations. Andy went through the house, inside and out, with great detail. I think we spent at least an hour on the outdoor space. He explained what he was looking for, what to look out for, and briefly how to maintain various aspects of the house. He showed us what was considered a simple home repair that almost anyone can do to large projects requiring contractors. Andy also explained what we should consider in terms of home maintenance annually, in five years, in ten, etc. The inspection lasted at least 4 hours for a 3-story home. At the end, we received a detailed 60-page report of his findings with the pictures he taken. It was a very concise report with even estimated price for suggested fixes. Not exact numbers but definitely useful for us in helping us financially plan for the future. The report was delivered to us, two days after the inspection, on a Sunday. If that doesn't say great service, then I don't what is. Overall, Andy provided extraordinary service and definitely helped alleviate our anxiety as first-time home buyers. I compared notes with my brother, who just bought a home and went through a home inspection, and he was surprised his detail. I don't write reviews but the service he provided made me stay up late to write this. Please give him and his company a shot if you require a home inspection. I'll reiterate again. Exceeded our expectations

Andy was highly recommended to us by a friend and he didn't disappoint. Andy took the time to explain each item that he was inspecting, as he was inspecting it. He also answered our many questions (given our first-time experience), and pointed out items that was a safety hazard, non-safety hazard but may lead to issues further down the road, and future repair/replacement items.
