Description of Work: Lawncare and spring/fall cleanups. I used this firm for several years. Once, I asked for a landscaping quote, but their estimate was twice as much as others. The owner is never present, and the workers are not careful and cut corners. The owner always responded to issues, but a free lawn cut doesn't make up for destroyed plantings. The owner also intimidated a neighbor who stopped using this firm.

+ 0 moreIt ended up higher than pretty much every other quote that I got so we did not go with them. They got the quote to me pretty quick. It was within a day or two when I contacted them. They came out and looked at everything and discussed it and within a day, they sent a quote. They were about 50% higher than the quote that we ended up going with. They definitely seemed professional. They had really good handouts. They had some really good information there. They were working on my neighbor's yard and it looks like they did a pretty good job and it was pretty quick. They had a very good idea of what needed to be done and it was right in line with the other company I went with but the price is just way too high.
Description of Work: I got a quote from Landwork Contractors Incorporated for basic yard work and some weeding.

+ 0 moreCalled owner, Joe Ruggiero, on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 to schedule an appointment.. His phone demeanor did not seem very professional but as he is a personal friend of a mutual friend, I ignored it. We arranged a time and day of 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 2, 2012, for him to visit our home to give us an estimate for landscaping work. On Saturday, he neither showed at 1:00 pm nor did he ever follow up with a phone call to explain. As of today, 6/6/12, we have heard nothing from him. I understand emergencies arise and appointments need to be rescheduled but Ruggiero/Landwork Contractor's lack of professionalism in keeping a scheduled appointment and not phoning to explain his absence is inexcusable, especially since I mentioned in our initial telephone conversation that a mutual friend of ours recommended I engage him for our landscaping needs. Strongly discourage anyone from using his company.

+ 2 moreJoe and his team took over from a landscaper I had used for years. They came in to clear away many years worth of brush, leaves and clippings from the corner of my yard. The team were incredibly hard workers, spending the full day removing all the debris, raking the whole yard, trimming tees and basically doing anything and everything we asked them to do. They were professional and, most importantly, got the yard looking great. I look forward to having them be our landscapers for years to come.AS
