They are installers. They're actually a splinter group of another company. If the boiler reaches a certain temperature it will turn itself off if it's too high. These peerless units have a tendency to do that. It was a little pricey. They had to get the sensors from the manufacture. Unfortunately these peerless units have an aluminum heat exchanger which can create problems. It's kind of a design flaw in the unit. If you were to go to internet you'll often find the people who have problems are the ones commenting on the unit. Peerless gets dinged often for responsiveness with regard to functionality of their units. I haven't had any real problems with them this year. This guy Todd has a reputation for being able to fix things that most people just can't. Todd is always deployed to our house because he did the installation. I really like Todd and he is really good. Whenever I have a problem I call Scott, who is the principal, and they deploy immediately. They're there before they should be. They are often waiting for me in their service truck. I am not a yes man usually. We selected them through a pretty intense vetting process.
Description of Work: They had to service the unit at the beginning of the season. They had to replace lock out switches.

They're actually a splinter group of another company. The principal is a guy named Scott Smith. They have the best techs in the are and that is why they formed the splinter group. They're the most experienced people with boilers especially with these new modulating condensing boilers. I brought in a number of contractors to bid the job. I had done a lot of the work prior to the installation. The county would not let me do the final install because I am not certified with black pipe in this state. They're easy to get along with. They're responsive. They're really professional as far as they know the ends and outs and intricacies of these pretty complicated boilers. They will get right there if you have a problem and they get there before they are supposed to. They're a really good outfit.
Description of Work: Installed modcon boiler installation for my sister, but I contracted them.
