Matt was thorough and was exceptional in all that he did for our new deck. Really no words can honestly describe his work and the byproduct that came of it??A true masterpiece!!! And well done.

Excellent experience all around. Mat English did a great job replacing my rotted-out and moss-eaten deck surface with an innovative solution I would never have thought of on my own--small pebbles in a sturdy plastic matrix. My main concern was that I am 74 and had been slipping around dangerously on the old deck, but the new surface is literally rock-solid, even under snow. I like the way it looks, too, although those who like things to look slick and polished might not go for its rustic appeal. Matt was prompt, efficient, polite, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with. Price was excellent too. Warmly recommended.

I have used Matt a couple of times for different projects. He does great work. He is all the things one hopes to find in a contractor; shows up as scheduled, does the work as promised and leaves you with a great finished product. Also, a genuinely nice guy.

We hired Matt to remodel our basement and were very happy with the final product and the overall experience of working with him. He completely transformed the basement from an unfinished concrete pit to an extension of the livable space of the house. He did a great job of hiding the ugly parts of the basement (furnace, breaker box, sump pump) by building closets. We were blown away by how great the space looked when he was done! We especially love the three wood doors he custom-built for the closets. He worked quickly and the project was done within the timeframe we needed. His prices are very fair (much less than we were quoted by other contractors in the area) and the final price was exactly what he said it would be. A bonus is that he's super friendly and pleasant to talk to. We are so happy to have found Matt and will definitely be hiring him for future projects!

This is the 3rd time we've hired Matt. We had a deck ramp that was way too steep with a bottom step way too high. Matt and Jamison were able to adjust the ramp angle and replace the steps making it much safer and easier to use. It looks gorgeous and they did it in just a couple of days. As always, Matt's prices are so reasonable. The work is of the highest quality. I highly recommend Matt (and Jamison!) for all of your project needs. They're also fun fellows. We can't help but smile when we see them arrive.

I got a deck built and truly happy with the final product. They were absolutely professional and very friendly at the same time. They understood the requirements and delivered it right within the timeframe. I have already recommended them to a friend of mine and met the expectations again.

We high recommend Matt English for your projects. He gave us an excellent price to repair an old farmhouse porch, not even knowing what was underneath as it was hidden by siding. His estimate was right on. He not only repaired the porch stability and leveled it, he also was very careful of our (new) roof overhang and our desire to retain the "old farmhouse" look. He then power washed the porch and steps, and added a handrail. Much to our surprise, the old grey boards were paint covered which he got off. The porch wood now looks like fresh aged wood, the cement steps are actually white with lovely colored pebbles in them. The entire project was a huge success. The porch is safe and beautiful. Matt was right on schedule, careful of safety and clean-up, and moved so fast. Do not hesitate to contact him to discuss your projects. He's a fun fellow and amazing in his skills and abilities. He listens carefully to what you need and want.

We hired Matt initially for end of year yard cleanup. One thing led to another, and he ended up taking care of many different things for us! He broke down a walnut and an oak tree into firewood, built us a wood shed, built an amazing tree fort, dug a french drain and laid a new walkway, etc... etc... Matt did fantastic work, came up with great ideas, and delivered as promised. He is very professional, pleasant and trustworthy. We have had him come back for more projects several times, and will be calling him again as new projects come up!

Matt was pleasant to work with and did an excellent job trimming my shrubbery and trees. He also spread mulch and edged my gardens for Spring. He did the work within the time frame we agreed upon and may be doing some additional odd jobs for me when time allows. Thank you for help Matt.

I am completely happy with whe work that Matt English did. He was in constant contact with me so nothing was removed without direction. The work was done in a timely manner and everything was left neat and perfect.

Matt showed up. If he was running late, he let us know. He worked with us. He did a great job cutting down the tree. There were some wires to deal with. No damage done to wires or property. Did a good job with clean up. We would hire him again.

Matt did a great job pruning and trimming up bushes, plants and trees for us. He also took down a tree we needed removed very quickly. I would highly recommend Matt for any landscaping project.
