WOOD KINGDOM INC

Extremely poor experience. Bought a swing set and was trying to get it installed for a month. They kept pushing it off. Finally, on my "install date" I get a call telling me they don't have the swing set and can't get it from the manufacturer. We cancelled the order and had to dispute the charge to get my refund. They never called me back. I always had to chase them down only to get the run around. Complete waste of time.

Their initial service was fine. They put playground equipment in the backyard. A tree fell on it. We tried to get someone from the company to give us an estimate. They kept putting us off and never came and finally came and we couldn't get them to respond. They wanted us to replace it completely and it was $3000.

HORRIBLE

This review is toward the Wood Kingdom in FARMINGDALE, NY. I had a very bad experience with this company. I tried to order a swingset from them and I all I got was the run around. I was told the swing set would arrive in 3-4 weeks. So after 4 weeks had passed and we didnt hear anything, we called to check on the order. During business hours on 3 separate occassions, in one week I was told that the ONE person who knows how to check the orders was not in. When I finally did get someone who could help me, she had the biggest attitude. Finally I had to tell her what a bad experience I've had and then she finally tried to help me and cooled it with the attitude. She said that she was getting a shipment in a few days but wasn't sure if my set would be on the truck. This is 4 wks after we placed the order. We set up a delivery date for 2 wks later bc thats what they had available. We were initially quoted $150 for delivery and setup and then we were told that it was a misquote, that it would be $200 instead. The delivery date came and went, no swingset and no call. When we called to find out what happened they told us that it didnt come on that shipment and they couldnt tell us when the next shipment would be. A few days later we called back to see what was going on and got yet another clueless person who could not tell me when the set was coming in. The best thing I could get from her was that she THOUGHT they were getting another shipment in a few weeks! They still couldn't tell me if my set would be in that shipment. Finally, I had enough. I asked for a full refund. She then tells me that she would refund my shipping but that I hadnt paid anything on the set. UMMM, we paid a deposit of half the cost of the set. After putting me on hold for the 15th time she finally found the OTHER order sheet which said we had paid a deposit. You would think I was ordering a swingset from a grocery store the way they handled this. They sell swingsets for goodness sake. Needless to say I will NEVER use this company again and I absolutely DO NOT recommend this company to anyone else.

I was pleased with them. It took a long time for the shed to come in, but they were prompt and did a good job. I think it was 10-12 weeks to get it because it was pre-made. When it came in they called and they came when they said they would. A few men came and they put it up and leveled it. They were very nice. I was able to order the color I wanted. The price of the shed included putting it up. They told me they would be back in the spring when it was warmer to re-level it. I had priced a shed with another place and it was about twice as much as this. Their price was good and I got it on sale. They use fiberboard and I think it will hold up. The work was tight and it was dry when it rained and snowed. I wish the delivery had been sooner.

I COULD NOT BELIEVE THESE GUYS. THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT THEY WERE DOING. THE WOOD WAS ROTTEN AND SO WAS THE WORK. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO FAMILY OR FRIENDS. NOT EVEN TO AN ENEMY!
