At first told me was capacitor, lost a day because he did not have one then later said it was compressor. He sold me a 5 year old used compressor, 4 Ton for 3,500.00 I had little choice now, I had canceled other AC guys. I really wanted to get all new system but told me would take at least 2 weeks and at least $13,000 or more and told me he was not sure how to do it. Claimed mine was special. Later my regular guy came back and was sad he was not around. Told me would never charge more than 1,200 and for me would have been 900.00 To be sure about that I had another estimate and same thing. Both said complete new systems if I want it now one was 5,200 other 5,500. So I feel really stupid and taken advantage of. I tried emailing Polar to talk it over and get no reply back now. So this is all I can do. He did make it work, but in the end I still would be more comfortable and a lot happier with newer system.

This is a great company. They installed a 2 ton Rheem central air system on the second floor of my house with new ductwork. They came bright an early on the day of the install and completed the job in the one day. There was a problem with one of the components of the Air Handler after they installed, but Jim, the owner drove over to the Rheem supply distributor in Farmingdale and picked up a new one, and his team installed it right away. His team also did the install as described in his picture, with all ducts using R8 insulation as well as insulating the plenum to make sure the cool air takes on as little heat as possible. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only critique I would have for them is to make sure they wipe their shoes before entering the house as they tracked dirt into the basement and the areas they did not put tarp down on.

The installation of a rheem central air unit with a heat pump and auxillary heat was perfect. The installers were very professional and neat. I could not believe how well the install went. Jim the owner was fantastic. Great guy and extremely knowledgeable. Will use them again to replace my gas furnace.

Perfect! Very well planned and executed, no mess and his guys were professional! Completed in 10 hours. I would highly recommend them for your A/C needs.

There have not been any problems- it has been great. What stands out most about their service is their friendliness and professionalism.

I got a total of four estimates for a whole house central AC install with duct work, and Jim(the owner) was the only one who actually measured all of the rooms and took the time to explain all phases of the job and the equipment. He had references and pictures of his past work, and answered all of my questions and even volunteered the answers for some that I didn't think to ask. His estimate wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive, but we felt the most comfprtable with him doing the work on our house. He and his crew arrived right on time on the scheduled day for the installation. They were all very courteous and respectful and made as little noise and disruption as possible. The whole job, equipment and ductwork, was completed in one day. And there was absolutely no mess for us to clean up. They took care of everything. Aside from the vents in the ceilings and the compressor outside, you wouldn't know they had even been there. Jim was also there the whole day to supervise the job. He's not one of these owners who just shows up at the beginning and the end of the job to collect the payment and disappears for the rest. He made sure that everything was working as it should and that I was totally satisfied. I HIGHLTY recommend them for anyone who is in need of a central AC installation.

Crew of six arrived promptly and completed the job in 1 day. Workers were courteous, careful and fully explained the system. Cleanup was perfect and when the job was complete, there was no additional work needed to be done by us. This was a fully professional job in all respects.

Terrific! After much shopping around for at least 6 months, we went with Polar Bear Air. They installed the entire central air system and duct work in one long day with a large crew. The system works great. We had a small problem with the thermostat installed, but they came back and replaced it. The problem was with the thermostat itself, not the installation of it. We were very happy with their professionalism and knowledge. The crew was very friendly and they were very careful with our house and cleaned up after themselves.
