Details for me are sketchy as it was almost a year ago, not long after Hurricane Sandy, and my only knowledge of electrical is plugging in appliances and changing light bulbs. Please bear with me if some things do not make sense to anyone who knows electrical. I called Anthony, owner of 4 Seasons, to evaluate and repair an issue with intermittent electrical power in my mother's house. We did okay after Sandy but the next big storm (snow) took out one of the lines coming to the house. We had intermittent power on anything sourced from that one power line and water trickling into our cellar and into the electrical box along that line. It was not long after the hurricane so almost impossible to get a professional in to look at it...also took a long time to get LIPA to check the line from pole to house. A relative living in an area devastated by Sandy recommended Anthony as he had been helping homeowners in that area as fast as he was he was able. As I understood it, Anthony was not new to my relative as she and her extended family have called on him for years. Despite his long hours Anthony stopped in shortly after to evaluate our problem and gave an estimate which was very reasonable for the quick and safe fix required at the time until we could totally replace with a new box. When he came back only a couple days later...mind you he was also helping folks with real problems due to the hurricane...the work he did ended up costing less than the estimate, I offered to stay and hold a flashlight to help out as it was pitch dark in the cellar where Anthony had to work. He worked efficiently but was friendly and answered all of my questions about what he was doing...I was really concerned about safety as the water had come in through the box and puddled on the floor. Of course by then the holes where the water trickled in along the cable had already been plugged. Anthony explained safety measures he and all electricians take in handling electrical. He even stayed a little later than he had to so he could go over everything he did with my husband who does understand electrical but isn't a licensed electrician.

We got thru Hurricane Sandy okay but then the Nor'Easter that followed did damage to one leg of electric cable coming into the house. Anything connected to that leg began flickering off and on. Waited for LIPA to confirm power from pole then called 4 Seasons Electric for evaluation/estimate on repair. Anthony was referred to us by a family member. He called to confirm appt and showed up on time. Gave estimate on repair which was reasonable for work to be done. Made appt for the work to be done a few days later. In the meantime the situation became worse where half the house would be out of power for hours at a time. Eventually power went out completely so I called Anthony to ask if he could get here days sooner than our scheduled appt. He came the same day a few hours later. I was so grateful as this is in the middle of all the work being scheduled for Sandy victims who fared much worse than us. Anthony was stuck longer at another job but called ahead to let me know he would be late. But it was only a couple of hours. He re-evaluated the situation when he arrived and began the power restoration. He explained everything he was doing while I watched him work. He answered all my questions cheerfully and didn't mind educating me about the electrical system, focusing on safety and how it works. We were last stop of the day for him so he even stayed around a little longer to speak with my husband when he got home from work. We were very pleased with Anthony/4 Seasons Electric and the work he did for us on short notice. All around nice guy too. Will definitely call him for future planned electrical work. Also nice to know he is so responsive in emergency situation and reasonable pricing which ended up being half of previous estimate.
Description of Work: Emergency repair to electrical circuit box. The electrician, Anthony, tested and replaced circuit breakers that were no longer working due to storm damage. Will replace entire box/meter in very near future when upgrade to 200amp was planned anyway.
