Rockland Junk Removal & Hauling

I decided to get rid of all the carpets in my house. It was about time. Candidly, there was a carpet in one room that was there when I moved in... almost 30 years ago. I always knew that carpet had to go, but it was in a small room, with too much furniture in it, and I couldn't fathom doing it myself. But I had a leak in the basement from a water heater, and I was afraid that the carpet might have developed or could develop mold. So I decided to get rid of those two and two more. (3 separate levels). I saw one of John's trucks on Rte 304 and wondered if they would do something like this. I emailed and John responded that evening. He came the next day and surveyed my debacle. He made me feel so relieved, because no only did I want these carpets removed, all the rooms had plenty of 'stuff' that would have to be moved to get them up. (See picture attached. Zoom in and see all the junk that had to be moved to remove the carpet. All rooms were similar.) He said it would be no problem. He gave me a fair price and we booked the job quickly. John showed up with the truck and two men he's known for many years. Despite our dog barking loudly and carrying on. They met the dog with friendly smiles. They attacked the project inside quickly and professionally. The one carpet's padding (guess which one?), was so old it had been crumbled into a powder. They actually swept up the remains of the padding. They worked hard until all rooms were clear of carpet and padding. As was expected there was a lot of dust when all was complete. They also ripped up the tack on the perimeter of the rooms that held down the carpet. They also removed an old love seat that was in the garage and some boxes and bags. I paid John and we had a brief discussion in the front yard of how pleased I was, and he told me of some of the other services his company provides that I will use in the future. This was a completely satisfying experience from start to finish, first contact to end of job. 5 STARS.

It went exceptional.

I had the unfortunate task of cleaning out the house of a relative that passed away. After family members took what mementos they wanted, we were left with some large pieces of furniture, old rugs and just boxes and boxes of stuff that nobody needed like an entire set of broken china. John came out, gave me a great estimate and was able to come back in 2 days to complete the job. Some of the places I called were double the price and had a 2 week wait. As he and his employee were loading the truck, I found some other small items that I missed when he came to do the estimate. I was sure the cost was going to increase but John stuck to his original estimate. It was such a hard thing that I was dreading dealing with and John was so polite and made the process so simple. I definitely recommend them.
