Stay clear of Gary

The representative of Gary's was the first of three services who saw the roof to understand the problem and offer a solution that made sense. The gutter on one side of the house had it's low-point in the middle where the roof-line dips -- water would not flow to the higher ends of the gutter where the drain spouts are but instead gushed over the middle. The positioning of the drain spouts also had to be adjusted. More complicated than I can describe here. Simply re-pitching the gutter, which the other two services diagnosed, would not solve the problem. There were a few days delay from when the work was first promised but Gary kept in touch and the work was completed within a week of first scheduling. They did a good job with the realignment, but water now drips through the resulting gap between the roof and the gutter. Should that gap have been dealt with as part of the replacement and realignment? Or is that outside the usual scope of such a contractor's work? I think the gap should have been pointed out when they finished the work -- maybe they could have offered a solution. It is my responsibility now to bring this up and discuss possible solutions but the cost of the first work is something I have to recover from first. Lesson learned: I should have asked for a more detailed breakdown on the replacement/alignment cost (labor and materials) which seems pretty high for 16 feet of roof. I'm not sure if I paid too much or not. Other than that gap I am overall satisfied.

They did an excellent job, got everything done quickly, and cleaned up well. I'd recommend them to others!

I'VE HAD HIM SINCE HE FIRST STARTED HIS BUSINESS AND HE'S DONE EVERYTHING DEALING WITH MY GUTTERS. I KEEP INVITING HIM BACK SO HE MUST BE GOOD. I'VE BEEN USING HIM FOR 15 YEARS NOW. WHENEVER I CALL, HE CALLS ME RIGHT BACK AND WE ARE ABLE TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT.

I called Gary's Gutter Service and they were able to come out a few days later(I was not in a rush as others had worse problems). As always, the job was done well and neatly.

THEY WERE ALWAYS VERY PLEASANT. THEY WOULD ALWAYS SHOW UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD SHOW UP. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT GOOD EXPERIENCES WITH THE PEOPLE WHO SHOW UP.

IT'S GOOD. IT'S A CONTRACTOR THAT YOU CALL, AND THEY PERFORM A SERVICE AND LEAVE. IT'S NOT LIKE A PAINTER WHERE YOU CAN LOOK AT THE WORK AND SAY IF IT IS GOOD OR NOT. THEY JUST COME AND DO THE WORK AND GO. IT'S JUST PRETTY CUT AND DRY KIND OF WORK, AND IT'S FINE. THEY DO WHAT THEY'RE PAID TO DO.

I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEM, AND THEY SEEM TO DO A GOOD JOB. THEY JUST COME AND DO IT, AND THEY BILL ME. I REALLY DON'T SEE ANYBODY. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS.
