Description of Work: Put in new Fiberglass Marvin windows. I shopped around and Alure was the best with very good customer service. Installation and aluminum capping of exterior frame in one day for 6 windows.

Description of Work: We needed a kitchen remodel and decided to check out Alure as part of our comparison shopping. My wife fell in love with a particular countertop they had on display, one thing led to another, and we were put in the very competent hands of Blythe, who redesigned the space beyond out wildest dreams. She figured out a way to give us about 40% more cabinet space, and the overall look of the kitchen is spectacular. She is a true artist. I must also say that the workmanship and punctuality of the installers was second to none. Having been victimized by Sandy rip-off artists after the flood, it was a pleasure to have worked with such a professional organization. Joe, who oversaw the ripout, carpentry, plumbing and electrical was available 24/7 and he would get back to us immediately if we had a questions. When we had problems (there is always something) they were minor and taken care of immediately. The workmen were ALWAYS on time, neat and did beautiful work. Blythe and Joe were in communication when they needed to be and we were always in the loop.

Description of Work: We did a small bathroom remodel. The finish work the very sloppy. They did not put the insulation back in the ceiling and they promised to come back but they never showed. Before my work was done I recommended Alure to my sister for a major house remodel... Boy do I feel stupid.

Description of Work: They gutted two rooms to make one huge kitchen! They are amazing!!!! All went smoothly and would definitely use them again!!!!!

Description of Work: I signed a contract on May 20 2015 and put down 10 percent deposit to have a basement renovation Start on July 7 2015 as per contract and last 3 weeks. At this appt we also picked out all our materials and approved the design. This PowerPoint design was then to go to an architect to be drawn up and allure was to put in for all necessary building permits. We were very adamant about the timeline and we were asured it would be done. After this may appt our check was cashed and we did not hear from allure again even after several emails were sent from us about adding some details to our basement. I finally called on July 2 to ensure we were set to start demo. After many phone calls I realize that NOTHING had been done since that appt in May by allure. Permit paperwork was not filed or even completely filled out and the allure architect still needed 3 weeks before he could draw the design which would then have to get approved by the town and then the allure project manager would set a date to begin construction. We were looking at about 6 more weeks before we start demo. 6 weeks is what we were told it would take when we left our May meeting, so my guess is our folder sat on a desk and never got submitted to the architect or permit manager. No one would take responsibility for this error over the phone and I was told the person I signed a contract with was not in and no one else could help or reach him by phone. After I hung up I drove 30 minutes to allure in east meadow to find my salesperson right in the office. I demanded my refund and canceled the $62,000 project. I got my refund with no explanation of the horrible miscommunication. Horrible customer service. Never an apology or call from management.

Description of Work: Allure installed a new roof and siding for my home. Excellent work and I would recommend them without hesitation.

Description of Work: They blew some insulation into the attic. They also put a set of stairs going up to the attic They created a leak in the air conditiong and damaged the ceiling.

Description of Work: We had Alure do a 5 day bathroom which was finished in 4 days. They were pricier than others we had gotten estimates from but then others were more expensive. Alure had a great reputation. There were some mistakes but they fixed them after speaking with the owner. I would consider using them again.

Description of Work: Replaced material in an existing bathroom. Nothing went right. After 35 years working with all types of contractors, Alure was the absolute worse. I would not allow them in my home again under any circumstances. Stay far away from these overpriced, unprofessional charlatans. About the only thing they are good at is their sales pitch. Should have followed my instincts & run away, run away, run away.
