The weather was a big factor so the job was done a little later than planned as there was snow on the roof which made it too dangerous to work. However the job was done in extreme cold and the men took their time in spite of that with no complaints. The best thing is that they cleaned up completely, were careful to put drop cloths where necessary and vacuumed the part of the carpet that was involved.. They took away all the debris. I would recommend this company with no hesitation.

We just had our basement finished by Alure and we are delighted with the professional work and result. A four man construction team plus electricians and plumbers were coordinated in a nearly seamless schedule. The team leader (Rob) easily invented solutions to various design and construction hurdles and accommodated our various preferences. His team mirrored his obliging and good-humored manner and all were agreeable guests and eager workers. The whole construction period was just five days! This was our second project with Alure and our second positive experience.

They were extremely efficient. They came when they said they would. They advertised being able to get it done in five days and got it done in three and a half. The men who came to do the work seemed to be knowledgeable. I am following up with some minors issues I have had with the bathroom. They are responding to me it is just taking a little longer than I would like.

Salesman made an appointment then shortly before the appointment told us he was going to be late so we rescheduled. At rescheduled time he took measurements and showed us his windows. We were in the market for something better than what he was showing. He told us he would see what else they could offer, maybe he would give us passes to the upcoming home improvement Expo so we could see for ourselves. He also noted that Alure does roofs, bathrooms etc. (we have an old house). He left our house....and that was the last we ever heard from him or Alure. We followed up with phone calls but never heard back.

VERY SMOOTH. WORKERS ARRIVED ON TIME EVERY DAY AND WERE VERY NEAT AND GOOD CRAFTSMEN.

We bought a house with an unfinished basement which we wanted to finish to provide additional space. We had just moved from a house which we totally renovated and didn't want to deal with the headaches of construction (mess and inconvenience). Alure came in and said they could finish in a week with minimal mess and inconvenience and they delivered. The job was completed quickly with virtually no mess and the few issues we had were addressed within a days time. They were expensive, but they also were the best construction company I have ever dealt with.

It came out gorgeous and it was very fast. They were nice. The workers were good they did the job they were supposed to do

They are a little more expensive up front. They will come back for three years and do some check ups for no charge. When the three year is up sometimes they don't charge us.

It went very well; they did a good job. From the order time until the installation it took three weeks because the windows were custom made. The actual installation only took one day. They cleaned up afterwards. I was very impressed.

I am currently purchasing a short sale property that is in need of a lot of work. I needed an estimate for the 203K loan I am using to pay for most of the repairs. After reading all the good reviews of this company, I decide to give them a call for an estimate. I also liked the fact that they have financing just in case I wanted to do additional work. They wouldn't even give me the time of day until after I close. Guess they are not an FHA approved company. ($40,000.00)

It went very well from start to finish; we couldn't be more satisfied, Gina Bonura, our design specialist was the first person we met with and she spent a lot of time with us designing the bathroom, choosing fixtures, tiles and accessories. She was very knowledgeable and helpful and we never felt rushed. She followed the project from start to finish. Dave Weber was the production supervisor and did a first-rate job. He was on top of everything. The electrician, plumbers, and especially "Kaz" who laid the tiles and completed the work were all very professional. It was especially convenient to visit Alure's showroom and be able to pick tiles, fixtures, accessories, lighting, etc. all in one location. They started the job on the day promised and were here every day, all day, until it was completed. Very clean and neat, thorough clean up, Can't say enough good things about this company and its employees.

Anthony and his crew removed and replaced nine upstairs windows. They arrived on time, and were finished in a few hours. Did a great job. Clean, neat and efficient. Very professional.

Their estimator, Mike Balkind, came to our house on a Saturday and spent 3 hours with us. We told him what to finish and then he made a plan and gave us a price. The crew came 9 days later to begin the work and were done in 3 days. They came within 1 day to address punch list items. All our expectations were met. Alure jealously guards their reputation. They are expensive, but they strive to make you a happy customer by keeping in close contact during the job via email and phone. Also, if the client does not change the spec, the price is exactly as quoted, not a dollar more or less. Alure is the only licensed installer of the Owens Corning Basement Finishing System in my area, so it was not possible to shop around. (That's why I rated Price a N/A).

I thought they did a great job. I am very happy with them. They arrived on time and actually finished the project ahead of what I had expected. We had no problems what so ever. They followed up quickly when I called them back about some re-grouting and they took care of it. They were reasonable and convenient.

I am very pleased with this work. I have no problems with it. If I needed more work I would definitely have them out again.

Excellent!! Project took about 10 days start to finish. A few minor bumps, but they came back to set everything right. They stand behind their work. About a year after completion, the floor grouting cracked. They came and looked at it and realized the mud base was defective. They ripped out and replaced the floor in two days. They are neat, clean and very easy to work with.

Alure's ads promised one-stop shopping for materials and labor. This was very appealing to us because we suffered over a kitchen remodel going from showroom to showroom all over long island to select every material and fixture, even though we had an experienced contractor. We were delighted from the moment we were greeted in the showroom. Our salesman-specialist, Andrew, help us pick every material and fixture in our first visit. He and a construction specialist, Emilio, visited and measured everything and we were given an itemized price that seemed fair for all they promised. There were no hidden costs or surprises. They finished in just five days. They included a certificate for a free cleaning service at jobs end, it was unnecessary, they left the house and garage cleaner than when they arrived (and we have a regular cleaning service). I don t think the job could have been handled better or the outcome more satisfying.

JOB WAS DONE ON TIME AT AGREED UPON COST. EXCELLENT QUALITY. DETAILED FOCUSED PROFESSIONAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. MONEY WELL SPENT.

This is much better to have than sheetrock. If they get wet, you can pop them out and take them out to dry. They are permanent and much easier to deal with. The company did a great job with everything and I am very pleased. I would gladly recommend them. The price was fair considering that it was a big job.

Four men remodeled our whole basement. They had to put up walls, ceiling, and floor as everything is totally new. We had a severe mold problem so we had to demolish the basement and this company built the new basement. They did a wonderful job. The workers were very neat and got the work done in a week and a half. I had thought this job that might take up to three weeks to complete but it sure didn't.

These guys are top-notch. They are very professional and responsive. They answered all our questions and were very prompt. We didnt have to wait. There was no mess for us to clean. They are phenomenal.

The salesman was very professional, knowledgeable and honest with me. In the store showroom, the salesman had taken a picture of my home and placed it within their computerized system. By laying an overlay of my choices on my original picture, I was able to see exactly what the home would look like upon completion. He explained the samples of the siding, windows and roofing according the positive and negative characteristics. During the process, a window pane became broken. They replaced it within a reasonable amount of time.

The initial work by Alure was fine with the majority of the work being completed within 2 weeks from the start date. Alure's problem is with the finishing details. They left garbage in my driveway for several weeks. It took several additional weeks to have them return to complete the important details (molding around the bay window, caulking around the basement windows, repair damage to exterior faucet, etc.) When they did show up for the details, they often tried to take quick shortcuts rather than finish the work with quality. Also, the large bay window leaked during the first major storm. Don't expect to have your calls returned once you make final payment. Overall, the service is not worth the premium charged.

Although there were a couple of delays in beginning work, the work was finally completed beautifully. Workers were polite and accommodating.

The final product came out beautiful, but it took 6 weeks longer than estimated due to constant mistakes made by Alure. The same cabinet was ordered wrong twice, each time taking 3 weeks to replace (though they said it would only take 2 weeks). Cabinet doors were ordered with frosted glass and originally estimated at 3 days to complete. This took 6 weeks total. One counter top was templated incorrectly and took 10 days to replace. Rob, our project leader, was poor at getting the proper information for setting time expectations and required that we constantly call him or his boss for updates. Several time estimates were based on assumptions rather than getting actual facts. The final product was great. Kevin, the initial cabinet installer, was very quick and paid good attention to detail, especially with crown molding. If you hire these folks, be prepared to spend a lot of time on the phone and babysitting them. Lots of the quality control issues could have been easily prevented.
